This place is great. Good pastries, better coffee, and relaxed atmosphere. The employees are laid back yet completely hospitable. The fact that the hours of operation cover the early morning to late in the night, increases the appeal of Uptown, and enables for long grad-school study sessions. One of my few gripes with Uptown is the internet speeds...they are slow and choppy at best, though thats not the end of the world. My only other issue is the limited access to outlets, there are like four tables with the means of providing power. Overall I cant complain, its great.

Drove by and saw the "velvet foam" sign and became curious. Turned around and went in and had the most amazing coffee I have had in a long time! The mocha was smooth and creamy, not bitter, not overly sweet, just perfect. The chocolate croissant was excellent, too. I found the staff super friendly and relaxed, taking time to chat with each customer. Anytime I am in that neck of the woods, I always stop there now. Great place!

I used to work here. This is a good coffee shop. The baristas working during the busy shifts know what theyre doing. The americanos are grand. The furniture and decor could use a big makeover Many of the tables are rickety and chairs uncomfortable. The green carpet is ugly. But you go there for the coffee, hence the five star rating.

This is my go-to place to study in West Seattle. The coffee is fantastic (they hold up to their home of the velvet foam mantra), all of the baristas are nice, and the large table, open atmosphere is great. Its is a splendid and solid addition to the Seattle coffee scene thats become my default despite tough competition.

Pretty relaxed coffee shop. Large space with lots of tables. Is very popular with groups on Tuesday evenings (when my group meets there, of course). Some games you can check out, but not like their emporium on Delridge Way. The baristas are nice and the drinks are good.

Good drink, good pastries, fantastic foam. Oh yeah there are plenty of board games to play on a rainy Seattle day. Baristas are friendly and fun to chat with about all sorts of things. It can be tough to get in & out of the main parking lot.

Delicious coffee and magical foam. Even knew to make my toddlers hot chocolate the perfect temperature for her. Awkward parking lot due to West Seattles weird street layouts. Nice and open inside but minimal seating if they get busy.
