This restaurant and bar sits at the corner of one of the many iconic Melbourne laneways. We where greeted and served by very friendly wait staff who took the time to walk us through the menu and make recommendations. Every dish we ordered was second to none. Perfectly cooked prawns, salads made with the freshest produce and a steak tartar that rivals the best Ive had throughout France. Great food, great staff, great location. Highly recommended!

Fantastic, divey bar tucked away in the U-District. As youd expect, the standard Seattle choices are available cheaply, but theres also a decent selection of beers on tap. You can even snag some tasty grub to fuel your night out. If youre bored, hit the pinball and/or MAME machines opposite the bar. The Kraken also hosts shows, often punk, so make sure to check out whats going on on any given night.
