I dont know where these "Ive been eating here for 30 years" reviewers are eating at but this place is horrible and by far the WORST barbecue weve ever had. The food is dry and tastes like it was prepared days prior and sat in a warming oven until ordered. We had a large spread of the menu based on the 10 people in our party. The chicken sandwich consisted, literally, of a half chicken, whole, chopped up with a cleaver, bone and all, in between two pieces of stale sandwich bread and drowned in a bland "house" BBQ sauce. The brisket was like eating cardboard; no flavor, dry, and drowned in the same tasteless BBQ sauce. The St Louis style ribs were full of fat and dry. The baby back style ribs matched the St Louis style - horrible. Ive at at BBQ throughout North America, literally hundreds, and this place is, without a doubt, the worst. Do yourself a favor and do not eat here.

The best BBQ in the city cooked by two no-nonesense very good cooks. If you park in the back you will see the split hickory stacked up and smell the sweet pit. The decor is functional and humorous. A very Fried Green Tomatoes attitude in here. Cash only. Try to use a credit card and you get pointed to the appropriate sign on the wall. Better wear a shirt and shoes too! No..I doubt they would let a dog inside, service or not. If you didnt have an OBVIOUS handicap, I wouldnt either. Ive never seen this place crowded, but there are always a couple of tables taken and people coming in and out for take-out. I dont get the feeling these ladies are worried about feeding the masses. I recommend both the coconut cake and peach cobbler. PS: It aint cheap. You gonna pay for good quality. And dont steal my secret parking in the back!

Great place. Like Moms home cooking. The sides are amazing! The atmosphere is perfect. I hate Pepsi but they use the old Pepsi signs and even have an old Pepsi machine. Its the kind of place you would expect to find in the middle of Texas. This place is run by a couple of nice mature ladies so dont expect them to kiss your butt. Just be polite and enjoy a bit of History before its gone and replaced with concrete floors and fancy food.

I walked in and the cook said I wasnt allowed to have my dog inside. I tried to explain to her that it was my service dog and I just wanted to order to go but she kept on repeating herself. So I left. of all of places in Seattle, this place was the worse and unwelcoming.

The ribs could have spent more time in the smoker, but overall the food was good. The service and hospitality was amazing. The people that own the place were great hosts. I plan to go again.

The ribs were meaty with a smoky flavor and a fantastic mildly spicy barbecue sauce. Those sides and the sweet potato pie were fantastic. This place is the definition of an oldy but a goody.

Tender ribs, delicious sauces, great sides and the hospitality is not to be beaten. I never have barbecue anywhere else.
