Our family has been enjoying great pizza at this landmark for years. The newer model is much more comfortable, although we generally had enough people for dinner to get one of the larger rooms at the old site. Good pizza starts from the crust and just gets better from there. I asked about the crust to find out why it was so good. If I remember correctly, I was told the owner was still making the dough by hand every day. The sauce is wonderful and then there are the excellent toppings. Lots of cheese but if you choose your toppings carefully, very little grease. The pizzas are large in the sense that they are heavy and loaded with food. Not like by the slice pizzas that you can see through. Try a Ceasars salad for the table. One order will easily feed four. I have never been dissapointed with the service. When its busy, as is usually the case, you should know that your order will take longer to come up. The staff is friendly and always treated our children very well. The location is perfect. The parking can be hectic but theres always spaces on the side streets. Get a table near the windows and if you enjoy people watching, this is the place to be. Even when your waiting for a table you can still have a beverage. Go there, eat there and enjoy.

Money problem handling group. Normally, I would not ding a restaurant so deep (cost them 3 stars) but it really infuriated me when I found out they charged our group organizer 50 bucks deposit to reserve a few tables for a group of about 20. I get that you have to secure a reservation but this is probably illegal in some way since they claim non refundable. I had never heard of it. Then they really balked at doing seperate checks. Well, in a perfect world for this scenario, everyone in the group would pay the organizer with cash. But then how do you reconcile the 50 bucks. Messy, unorthodox, and unethical imo. The food? Not that great. Had a lunch special. Crappy iceberg lettuce like anywhere and the pizza was salty mainly due to the pepperoni topping. It gave me gas later so be warned have some antacid handy. The decor of the restaurant and the super views on alki are main reason it even got 2 stars. The ipa was good also. Prices are ok but you can do better at Mod pizza and they dont have deceptive reservation policies for larger groups. And their menu prices are less. In fact, if you look, there are pizza places that beat on price in West Seattle. There ya go Pegasus you just got some NEGATIVE publicity.

The other day we passed by and saw a busy, bustling restaurant. We thought, "This place must be good, lets find out the wait times!" The woman at the counter said, "30 minutes," we were in a rush so we declined. However, leaving, we was at least 3 empty tables both inside and outside. There were also people waiting. I figured "Maybe they take reservations." A few days later we decided to brave the wait. Again there were empty tables while people waited. I noticed there were lots of staff (most looked unhappy) but they werent in a hurry to bus the tables, seat people, serve people. We finally sat down, ordered our pizza and it was just ok. Im a big lover of pizza and this was the first time in my entire life that I didnt eat a whole piece. I just couldnt get through it, no sauce, lots of toppings, on a thin crust that was slightly soggy. My husband and I timed how long it would take for the staff to bus the empty table next to us. 10 minutes and counting (we left before we could see if they seated any of the 10 or so people waiting to be seated.) Combined with the price, the only thing this place has going is the location.

This place really went downhill. I have been coming here for the past 10 yrs and each time I get more disappointed. Food wise, the Caesar salad use to be my most favorite dish, no other restaurant could outbeat their salad. I just went today since I craved it and there was less dressing, soggy tomatoes, I asked for the chicken to be warm but when I got it it was microwaved for so long it was so dry I couldnt chew it. Then, my 2 yr old daughter got a spaghetti dish with butter and cheese, i told the waitress lets she if she eats it. My daughted didnt touch it, instead of asking if we wanted something else, the waitress just put it in a to go box. Anytime i ordered pasta, its full of oil on the bottom of the plate, overbearing. Then i always see the owner every single time im here. He looked pretty depressed. I remember he use to always come up to each table asking how everything tasted etc. Now he looks like he hates life. I dont think Ill come here again. Too bad, this place had so many good memories.

This place was extremely disappointing. Came with my husband and another couple. My husband noticed flies flying and immediately got grossed out. Our waiter was very blah towards us. Husband ordered pizza and I ordered the shrimp salad and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Soup came out first and was ok. Took another 30 minutes to get the rest of the food and people that walked in after us got their food before us. We were so close to walking out. My salad was and looked gross. Came in a clear, old looking bowl that immediately grossed me out. Salad was too soggy and I couldnt eat it. Had to have some of husbands pizza and it was ok. Way over priced for the quality of the pizza. Will not be coming back.

Ive been going to Pegasus since the early 80s and always told people it was the best pizza I had ever had! We live in Snohomish now; but still think its a worthwhile trip to go in for pizza occasionally even thought the traffic can be terrible! Went in recently and ordered our usual( half Toms/half Greek)- our pizza was cold when we received it and the Toms didnt even taste like it use to;-( and to top it off, after receiving our check, we sat there waiting for our server to run my credit card so we could leave; but she never came back, so I went to the front area to pay. It hurts to see a place we absolutely loved becoming so mediocre/ I dont think well go back now!

The wait service is terrible. We waited at the door and the staff just walked passed us. The place was only 1/3 full or should I say 2/3rds empty. The hostess finally seated us and then we waited about 10 minutes for someone to stop, drop off water and said our waiter would be out soon. Another 10 minutes and a waitress asked if we saw our waiter. She took our order. Keep in mind there was a waitress standing at the remote station the whole time. The pizza was good, but the service staff needs to get fired along with the manager.

Came in on a Tuesday night, seating was quick. Our service was horrible, other tables didnt seem to be happy either. Server seemed very confused and unhappy. Pizza was ok, decided to go to the front to pay since we didnt wanna wait an extra 20 minutes to get a hold of our server. Waited 15 minutes to get acknowledged, 10 to get our soft drinks (never got the waters) she brought it up twice. Ordered a half salad and took another 15 minutes. Pizza got there 20 minutes later. Very slow service. Dont think well come back :(
