Update January, 2017: New owners. New head chef. Service remains excellent, some previous staff remained. Food is still good. Will update more after a few more visits. ==Original review== I would say this is the most authentic Hong Kong cuisine in the ID. Ho Ho has been in Seattle for over 30 years, unlike many fly-by-night operations in the International District. There are good reasons for it. Personally Ive been to Ho Ho for 18+ years. It has evolved with time, in terms of decor and service. They know dietary restrictions and they understand how to accommodate; the food, moreover, consistently impress at prices that are easy on the wallet. They do have a menu that looks like it is written in Chinese only; I highly recommend order from that and take the owners recommendations. She is very available and have a customers first mentality. This is not a common sight in Asian restaurants; in fact, its not always the case in any business. Try the salt and pepper tofu. Try all the seafood dishes. Get a large group and order the large set dinners. Do the hot pots. Their lunch menu is a phenomenal deal. You wont be disappointed. This place has my highest recommendation.

It is so hard to find a seafood restaurant with fresh affordable food in this town. thank God for HO HO! Ive enjoyed the garlic pepper dungeness crab and the scallops there. Both were unbelievably fresh and tasty. I especially enjoyed chewing the garlic pepper crust off the crab shell while I sucked out the plump juicy crab meat. We sauntered in at midnight and the kitchen was still raring to go. Our server Pauline helped us match dishes from the menu into a family style meal. I suggest asking for Pauline and just order what ever she tells you to. We liked the tumblers of sake on ice with a twist of lemon and the green bean dish as well. Cat and Joe and Joe ~ Cap Hill PS... there is a snotty review below of HO HO being dirty I have not noticed this. It sounds like that person had a bad attitude. I noticed some one cleaning the walls and banisters upon my last visit and the bathroom was super clean.

So I was there today at 3am. I ordered on the phone, and went to the restaurant after 10 min. I still waited for 35 min. It was understandable because there was a big order before me. I only ordered house special fried rice, you know, with many things mix to it. I was so excited to eat when I opened the box and the friend rice looked so pale.. there was barely anything mix to the rice but onions.. Very few tiny chopped squid. And ONE single shrimp. Seriously, One shrimp! I also asked for. Diet Coke, and I even repeated myself that I want a Diet COKE, but when I pulled it out it was a Shasta Cola, like wtf is a Shasta cola. And boi, that was 2.95. She gave me two as a late night special.. Im very disappointed. I feel so ripped off for a plain fried rice that cost 12.95. No matter how desperate I am for a very late night dinner. I will NEVER go back here again.

This restaurant ripped us off last night, charged $250 a table of 10 people for 6 dishes, porridge, beef chow fun, fry noodles, two stir fry vegetables, one cold pork slice, when we questioned why? The woman in charge said, this is the USA, not China. We were from San Francisco, not from Chima. They ripped us off thinking that we were tourists from China who knows nothing here, this behavior is not honest and decent. In their menu, for $195, there is crabs, lobater, or fish included, totally 10 couse . What we were having were the most basic simple dishes with absolutely no seafood and 6 couse only. Do not go to this restaurant, you never know what excuse they use to ripe you off.

Watch out for the female owner/waitress, I only ordered 4 items (a dozen of clams, crispy chicken, shrimp fried rice, and 1 small dungeanous crab). Yet the bill was $124.95! When I asked why the bill was so high, she said thats coz the crab was $18.95 per pound. The crab was not even a pound, but she insisted it is. I asked for the menu, pointed out the price of the crab (which the $18.95 "PER POUND" does not exist anywhere in there), and she said, thats because its too late now, coz I already ate it...smh What a rip off! No wonder not a lot of people go there. Watch out for your bill, they seem to add prices.

Service was TERRIBLE. My husband ordered fish and for some reason she thought she heard pork and brought out a pork dish. She absolutely refused to take it back or switch it out. WORST service Ive ever had in a restaurant. She was sitting there arguing with us. I work for a tour company and direct tourists to new restaurants to try daily. I will never again be recommending this place. If you do decide to go, I hope they get your order down right. Youre stuck with whatever they decide to give you!

We stopped in just for sake on a cold day after touring Chinatown. Sweet lady that helped us was very happy and friendly so we didnt want to disappoint her and ordered spring rolls. Order was supposed to have 4 but she brought 8 crunchy, delicious morsels. Also brought hot and sour soup we talked about getting but didnt actually order. It was really flavorful and warm too. Overall we will definitely come back when hungry enough for full meal. Interesting that this was Bruce Lees dojo too!

This place should be really popular because the food is really good but you have to know how to order it. If you go by the English menu most people will order the unoriginal dishes. However, if you go with Chinese speaking and reading people, they can help you order unique food not normally ordered. This is where this restaurant shines and it does not disappointing. However this little gem is not well know and needs a bit polishing to be a diamond.

Had a very bad experience with the google offer for over charging my bill (or they called miscalculation) and adding tips to my bill. The service is so poor. A even more concern I have now is the quality of food item and overall cleanness of the facility. Just for one of the reason, I will not go back to it. For both I would recommend every one else not to neither.

Back in 1960s, Bruce Lee spent around 4 years of his life in Seattle. This restaurant space used to host his first training studio. While its humbling to be in the same space he dwelled once upon a time, its also worthwhile saying that the food they offer is scrumptious to say the least. Cod was fabulous and so were the clams :)

Very very delicious food and excellent service!! Thank you for the Christmas lunch :)) And for everyone complaining about the price, well its listed on the menu before you ordered.... and ever hear the saying "you get what you pay for"?? Yes its expensive but it is very good and the service is excellent.

Weve stopped here multiple times after Seahawks games. Theyve been really friendly every time - service has been quick, and the food has been really good. The Hot Pepper Chicken is one of my favorite dishes of any restaurant. But everything Ive had there has been tasty. Definitely would recommend!
