There are tons of Korean restaurants to choose from on 99. This is one of my favorites. The food is really tasty and authentic. It doesnt get extremely crowded like some of the more well known Korean restaurants. Prices are average. The selection in the menu is a bit small. They dont have tons to choose from. But what they do have is good. Service is great, which is very uncommon in a Korean restaurant. There stews are the best. I would stay away from their BBQ. Not that it is bad, just not that great. If you are looking for BBQ, go somewhere else. If you are in the mood for some stew, then try Hae-Nam. There is also a taco bus across the parking lot from Hae-Nam. Go there for some after meal taco and burritos.

This was my first time eating at an authentic Korean restaurant like this and Ill have to say that I was extremely impressed. The staff was quick and friendly, decent selection of drinks from Korean beers to Sake and the food was delicious! We came for a birthday party, so we had group of 10, and we basically ordered a complete variety off of the menu, everything from fried fish to soups, to barbecue your own short ribs. I will be honest, I probably didnt know what about 70 percent of the items were I was eating, but I came with an open mind and tried everything on the table, not one thing didnt impress my pallet. Great atmosphere and great food, cant ask for much more.

When you live in a region of the country lacking in Korean Cuisine and all the Korean folk here running restaurants want to sell Sushi rolls, this place was beyond amazing. Ive traveled to many places business or otherwise and this humble restaurant will be a great memory of this business trip. Everything that I had here was close to perfection. I can never remember the names of certain favorites that I enjoy, but they were all there and delicious. Service was fast and the food was hot. This place is not obvious from the street so youll have to look for it, but I will go there again for sure if I am ever in the area.

Many Korean restaurants indicate their specialties in their name. Hae-Nam Kalbi & Calamari does that too, but their skillful presentations go well beyond that. I especially love their dishes that are cooked at your table in a cast iron pot. I have tried the Halibut Collar, Black Cod, Baby Octopus, and the Calamari and Pork, all with noodles added ( its a must). Many Korean-Canadian tour busses stop here for lunch, an enjoyable highlight of their Washington visit. They come in in groups of 20 to 40, and the restaurant is able to handle them and all the other customers without missing a beat.

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the Seattle area. I made a reservation for 12, but 17 ended up showing up. They were able to quickly change our arrangement for the extra people. Even after ordering, the food came out really quickly. Much quicker than any other place when I had a group so large and the restaurant was already busy with other customers as well. The food was great. We got basically everything on the menu and it was all either good or really good. My favorites were the seafood pancake (해물파전), bossam (보쌈), and kalbi (갈비).

Great Korean restaurant that is open late on Sundays! Busy place. We ordered one of their hot pots, which if you havent had it before, is a pot of water heated right at your table along with a big platter of veggies and meat to cook and eat as we liked. Table-side hot woks seemed a popular option among guests. Great for groups or families. Complimentary tea. Sodas were only a dollar. Extensive list of import adult beverages, that I was mostly unfamiliar with.

So many good flavors in one meal! Weve had a few dinners here including appetizers and everything has been delicious and in generous portions. I love the tasty, well-prepared veggie sides to go with the richer entrees - it makes for a perfectly balanced meal. Plus, convenient hours, friendly staff, and surprisingly great prices. Its well worth the drive from the city for this great, authentic Korean food.

Ive tried about 4-5 Korean restaurants in the Seattle area. This has been the best so far! I just moved here from SoCal & theres no shortage of delicious & authentic Asian cuisine. Having found one...Im ecstatic! Lol give them a try. Please remember that you dont go to Asian restaurants for their service. You go there for the food. I reckon its just a culture thing.

This place is a solid 4.5 possibly the best go-to Korean option Ive found. Also good service with a smile, something surprisingly rare in this category. Ordered the Mackarel, Kalbi, Bibimbap, Sundubu, japChae and Dumplings for the little ones. Everything was solid good. The Banchan was speedy, delicious and very generous as well.

Anywhere in the world, when you order a soon du bu, it comes with a raw egg, so does it appears on their manual. However, when the food comes, the egg is gone, leaving you a pot of tofu and some tiny meat. With a bowl of rice, that is $10.99. When you ask them where is the egg, theyll be like, "oh, you want it?"

Sunday evening party of four. Kalbi tahng (Short rib soup), o jong uh Mool Luck (fried calamari), Dwae Jee Johk Bahi (sliced pork hocks) all were well prepared. This is a pleasant Korean restaurant that caters to the local Asian Community. Excellent quality meal.

Food was pretty good and it was worth a try. But I probably wont go back. I suppose they were busy, but the restaurant was not full and they had unexpectedly temporarily run out of rice on a Sat evening. Service could have been better, but the food was good.

Really good food, if you have a picky Easter with you probably not a good choice because they dont do Panda Express style Western Chinese food but if you want authentic Korean check this place out. Exceptional beef short ribs

Ive been here so many times. Very good, very consistent Korean food. Side dishes are very good. Just dont forget to push the button on the table when you need something as the wait staff is very busy

Food was fantastic. The prices were higher then expected. The staff was quite cold and a little off putting. 4 stars for food quality alone. However avoid the pot stickers they were mostly tasteless.

Good place for authentic Korean fix which will definitely hit the spot. This is what Korean food is about rather than the strange fusion restaurants they are pulling out these days.

Its been one of my favorite place. Foods are decent and reasonably good service. If you are looking for a Korean restaurant in North Seattle, this is the place you need to check out.

Delicious dishes with tasty complimentary salads. Restrooms could be cleaner, but at 11pm on a Friday it was packed, so Ill wait for a few visits to decide on that. Food was perfect.

Tasty as always. Super friendly staffs at this visit. Two young male servers actually had most appropriate and kind attitudes I ever encountered at Korean restaurants.
