This was by far the worst bar b que I ever had in my life. Ive made better bar b que in the oven. The meat was tough, dry and stuck to the bones. I hade the pork ribs and out of the 6 ribs I had only one did the meat fall from the bone. When I called to express my disasatisfaction, the sweet gal who took my order called the owner and was told that he cannot control the cooking process. That some ribs are smaller than others and that it does not cook evenly. Amazing was the fact that the only rib where the meat fell off was the larger rib, so if that is the case the smaller ribs should of done the same. Horrible customer service. I was basically told..too bad..sooo sad. Folks need not cook bar b que if they don;t know how to do it right. If I was told when I ordered that you will get inconsistent ribs..that some will be tough and some will be tender I would of never ordered there..my order was to go. YUCK!!!!

This place reminds me of the 1960s-era soda shops. The interior is packed wall-to-wall with car models, photos, etc, with the good, old vinyl fluffy seats along the walls, or wooden chairs around the interior tables. Not pretentious. Essentially, the food is pre-cook, and ready for immediate serving. The beef, pork or chicken fillings for the various sandwiches are in large trays, and placed into the sandwich -- you add your own "hotness" of sauce: either mild, medium or hot. The "mild" was spicy enough for my liking. You MUST get a serving of their "Homemade Baked Beans" -- a very enjoyable taste! Nice place to visit if you are in the area.

Had a gift card from a vendor, when we tried to used it the cashier refused to take it. "I dont know how to take those", didnt apologize until it came down to us deciding to leave then she said "sorry". The lady in front of use had her and her daughter, ordered then when she gave the cashier a $100 bill, "I dont have change for that. Poor lady went around asking other patrons if they had change for a $100. After the cashier saw she wasnt going to leave the cashier opened the other till and made change for her. Wow, not very customer orientated. Will tell my vendor not to buy gift cards from them, try a different, more professional establishment.

Great BBQ, corn bread, cole slaw, beef brisket, pork bbq and everything else on our plates!!! And we are from Atlanta where we know good BBQ. Very, very pleased with the meal and service. The tea was also very good as well! Moist meat and wonderful sauce. We were passing though Seattle and searched Google for something good and economical eating near our hotel. The Cedar River menu looked promising, so we drove by to take a look through the non-descript store front and saw a clean interior with comfortable booths. The staff was helpful during our order and even accommodated an adjustment in our order with a smile. Highly recommended.

The bbq at the Cedar River Smokehouse is great, but not everything on the menu is stellar. Here is my tastes. 1. Chicken, possibly the best meat on the menu 2. Pulled Pork - Moist, smokey and flavorful 3. Brisket - Tends to be dry sometimes but still tasty 4. Ribs - Often dry, not always tender but tasty flavor The Beans are the bomb diggity, with chunks of jalapeno they are not to hot but have flare. The slaw is good also but I am not a huge fan of the potato salad or the macaroni salad.

Had a smoked poke sandwich with mac and cheese. Good texas (spicy/sweet thick red sauce on dry meat) style BBQ. The bread was a hogie roll cut like a hotdog bun, was worried at first, but it worked to hold it all together perfectly. The medium spice sauce had just enough kick to make my nose run. I cannot wait to try the hot next time. The mac and cheese was a touch powderly tasting, but still rich and creamy. I ate everything. Highly recommended. I will be back.

I have been going to this place since I moved to Renton in April. I have always liked the food, my fiance loves smoked meat & this is his favorite local place. I was recently blown away by their service. We found out my fiance has an allergy to milk & we asked them multiple times each about milk in their food, bread, etc. And they were SO helpful and caring. I will be going to this place much more now! Favorites are the brisket and ribs.

Its a bad sign when at 7pm on a friday night and the restaurant is dead. The only highlight was the cornbread, which is a sad thing when youre at a bbq place. The meat was nothing spectacular, and WAY underseasoned. And the sauce tasted like nothing more than tomato paste and vinegar. When it comes to bbq, if Im in Renton Im driving the extra miles to Stans Bbq in Issaquah. I will NOT be returning here.

Beef brisket was cooked to perfection giving it the right texture and tenderness. It had a little black pepper in the flavor and I found that to be unusual but this was the best Ive found in the PNW. Coleslaw was outstanding. Mac and cheese will please many. Service friendly and efficient. Atmosphere appropriate. Beer selection just right. Street parking annoying. Ill be back.

Some of the best BBQ Ive had. That is, when it comes to pulled pork. My go to meal is a pulled-pork and hot link sandwich. With three choices for spice level in your BBQ sauce (Mild, Medium, Hot) you can really customize your experience. The sauce is a delightful mix of spice, smoke, sweet and tang with peppery finish that lingers just long enough.

The food was not good. I had the rib dinner with a side of macaroni & cheese and baked beans. The macaroni & cheese looked like they use Velveeta cheese and had no flavor. The ribs were not seasoned but the baked beans were okay. Overall, the food was bland and I wouldnt recommend going to this place.

I like the beef ribs, called ahead by 20 minutes WAS told my order would be ready in 5 minutes, traveling 18 miles, when I arrive they dont have enough to cover my order, run my card THEN tell me none of my order would be ready for 30 minutes. Im buying a grill/smoker tomorrow, no more holding me up.

Last time I ever come here. Back to back bad experiences. Raised prices, switched to smaller potatoes & I guess no more quality control. Im being generous not showing the pic of the outside of the rotten potatoe I was served w/ a lb of brisket. Apparently excuses are the norm instead of an apology.

This is the only place I sometimes have trouble eating the entire three meat plate. They have juicy beef ribs, excellent turkey, well smoked pork, and a good sauce. The brisket isnt great. If you want great brisket, go to Jacks BBQ. Otherwise, if you want a great deal of some very good BBQ, go here.

Amazing food. Highly reasonable prices. Having worked here I can assure you the food is extremely wholesome. Most everything is made in house, and all of the staff is extremely kind. Please do patronize this establishment. Its probably one of the best restaurants in South King
