You Had Me At Aioli! I dont know how the humble town of Renton became blessed to have Michelin Star Chef Marcus Olsen open up a burger joint, but Im so glad we did. Having recently bought a house in Renton, Ive driven by the hole-in-the-wall location of Burger Addict several times and finally stopped in this week. When I started reading the menu inside, I knew this was no ordinary burger joint. Top sirloin steak from a local hormone and pesticide-free farm is freshly ground at this restaurant every single day. Everything is made fresh … from the fresh cut real-potato fries to the gelato shakes (he even uses my favorite baking chocolate Ghirardelli) to the insanely gooey delicious (and patented!) burger addict cheese. But time stood still for me when I saw the freshly made gourmet parsley aioli and garlic aioli. Clearly, this is no ordinary burger joint. Your burger will take time to prepare, as all truly honest wholesome food does. So take a seat, relax and try not to have your mouth water while the incredibly delicious aromas of perfectly cooked meat invade your senses. I had a wonderful chat with Chef Marcus while I waited. A successful international chef who’s worked in London, Paris and New York, he has a true passion for perfectly prepared food with fresh ingredients from natural sustainable sources (yet none of the arrogance you may expect from such a renowned chef). So how was my burger? Well, it was extremely hard not to touch it while I drove the car home. When I finally bit into it, my first thought was “Burger Bliss” … you can truly taste the sirloin steak … the cheese was divine … and that garlic aioli made my toes curl. This was no ordinary burger; it was a masterpiece. I always order burgers well done and to make a well done 10 ounce burger juicy is a true test. It was all that and more. Chef Marcus certainly has a winner here … and it couldn’t happen to a nicer person. I will definitely be going back as I’ve yet to taste the freshly cut fries or the gelato milkshakes (freshly made gelato every day). I hope everyone takes the time to patronize this restaurant as we are oh-so-lucky to have a chef like this in our humble midst. Bravo to you and your crew, Chef Marcus! I wish you boundless success and am so thankful you’re here in Renton.

Do not go there. i used to work there. I would not eat anything i did not prepare myself. Almost everything on the mnenu is a lie. Most of what you are paying for, you do not get. The owner, Marcus, doesnt pay taxes. He took out child support from my pay, and did not send it in. I almost went to jail for nonpaymet. That i did pay. On numerous occasions he told customers to get out and nevere come back, rather than giving them what they paid for.Beef trimmings from Cash n Carry. Not top sirloin. Not black Angus. Not GMO free. The Burger Addict Cheese is Monterey Jack from Cash n Carry in tukwilla - that cant be found anywhere else? Hundteds of places buy at cash n Carry. White onions, not Walla Walla. Usually Oregon or Washington potatoes. But I am from WA. So good. Beef is ground daily. With flies landing on it because the kitchen is so hot and disgustingly dirty. Black mold in kitchen. I was hospitalized because of black mold. There are no truffles. You are paying a whole lot for a drizzle of truffle oil. No truffle cheese for that horrendously expensive burger. All those burgers are severely underweight as there is no scale to check them. The chicken is not sous vide and is often weeks past due date along with the salad ingredients. The fake hollandaise has raw egg yolks a month old. That could really make you sick. The Vegan can be weeks old too. Not vegan. Fryer oil is black and a month old. The bun has eggs. There is almost nothing on the menu that is not a lie and taking advantage of consumers by someone who claims to be a chef. Listen to how much they talk. If the food is good, you dont have to convince people of it. You are paying for Top Sirloin when you get beef trimmings from Cash n Carry. That is what is left over from the nice cuts of beef you see in the store. It is not from Monroe, unless Monroe is a person who works at Cash n Carry. It is not 100% Angus. Ask Cash n Carry where it is from. You are quite likely to get sick ordering there. You are paying about twice what your burger is worth. It isnt even chuck roast. I know this. I worked there.

This review will cover 5 orders/trips to Burger Addict. The food: Top notch, grade A, amazing food! The Service: Absolutely terrible. Deliveries are never on time (I live less than 3 miles away). The shortest amount of time weve waited on a delivery is around an hour and a half. The longest was about 2 and a half hours. Both times we paid full price and got to hear about how busy theyve been or how customers simply dont understand what they do. They always apologize as they accept full payment for the cold meal that is wrong 85% of the time. We decided to pick up our meal most recently, which led me to write this review. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, so we waited twenty minutes before driving down to pick up our meal. When we arrived we paid, and tipped before being told it would be another 30 minutes because the computer had crashed and they didnt have our order. Even with caller ID, which I verified they have, they did not call to let us know they didnt have our order. They simply waited for us to arrive and asked us to wait another 30 minutes while they made our food, which when we got home we found out was not entirely what we ordered. If you walk in and have a burger, I dont expect youll be disappointed, the food is wonderful. But do not expect good service, reasonable delivery times, or to always get what you pay for.

I DONT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT. HAD THE POTENTIAL TO BE A GOOD BUSINESS BUT THE OWNER COMPLETELY AND I MEAN COMPLETELY DIMINISHES THE EXPERIENCE. HE IS RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND CAN NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP. WHEN YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT AS A CUSTOMER, INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MAKE THE SITUATION BETTER HE MAKES IT WORSE. HE MAKES THE ISSUE EVERYONES BUT HIS OWN. DONT OWN A RESTAURANT IF YOU CANT TAKE OWNERSHIP. I READ A REVIEW ON YELP ABOUT THIS PLACE AND A CUSTOMER WAS A LITTLE UPSET THAT THERE FOOD CAME OVER AN HOUR LATE BECAUSE THE DELIVERY DRIVER WENT TO THE WRONG PLACE. THE OWNER MARCUS RESPONDS TO THE CUSTOMER BY SAYING "I RESEARCHED AND THERE ARE LITERLLY 943 CONDOS/APARTMENTS IN THE AREA AND FURTHER MORE YOUR ADDRESS DIDNT COME UP IN GPS." WHAT KIND OF RESPONSE IS THAT TO A CUSTOMER? YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO AT LEAST SAY IM SORRY ABOUT THAT, WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT. YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO COMPLAIN BACK AT THE CUSTOMER. IN MY OWN EXPERIENCE I WENT IN TO SPEAK WITH THE OWNER MARCUS OLSON AND HE IS COMPLETELY IRRATIONAL, VERY EXPLOSIVE, DOESNT LISTEN TO ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY. INSTEAD OF ACCEPTING THAT HES WRONG HE DOES EVERYTHING TO MAKE IT APPEAR AS IF YOUR IN THE WRONG. I KNOW THE FOOD IS SUPPOSED TO SPEAK FOR ITSELF BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE MANAGERS ATTITUDE IS HORRIBLE AND IT WILL BE AMAZING IF THIS ESTABLISHMENT SURVIVES.
