Ok place as there is limited choices in the area. Food is ok; prices reasonable . This was our second visit this month. Rentals at the naval resort are clean well maintained and the gals at the front desk were helpful and very nice. Great view and location to beach is a plus. All around 5 for the resort. The windjammer however is a predominantly local hangout. Dont expect immediate service and DO expect to see and witness endless chatter with the friends and locals that frequent this bar. It is clear guests are not the priority. Bartender this weekend really needs to focus more on the patrons than sitting and talking with friends at the bar. If my employees at my bar ever thought it wise to run my business this way they wouldve been gone within a weeks time. Poor management at this spot. Its a shame as it has good potential. New construction is apparent and looks like they are expanding. Looks good so far and great decision but unless they change the staff it will not matter. Lots of bar games available but dont bother asking to use the virtual game console (Wii) as they only keep it on one game with the option the locals set. We couldnt believe the response we received when asked to use it. I could understand if the place was busy or full of patrons but in the two hours we were there no other guests entered that place and the same people remained. This spot if marketed properly and more inviting to those not living nearby could be a gem. Bottom line if youre under 50 and not local expect mediocre service if at all. Expect employees to gather behind bar to chat and expect to be treated like your business matters not. Take the short drive with a DD and head to Mill 109 or Green Lantern instead. Better atmosphere and youll be welcomed properly.

Windjammer food is 2 stars because they can make a decent burger and good pizza for cheap. Other food is one star. They dont follow their own menu. "Roasted vegetables" = only green beans but more than 1 bean. "dinner roll" = squashed dinner roll fried in old deep fat dyer grease(very bad). Certainly Not what was advertised. The hotel/inn room itself was excellent. A 5.

We had an absolutely amazing time. Thanks to all the kelpers and the family that are the patrons of the lounge. Our lunch was fabulous and the karaoke after parade party was wonderful. Clearly you people know how to have fun.....we will be back. Cheers

No one came to seat us and when we finaly got our food it was not bad, but not worth the price. Further more, the staff was not well groomed at all
