Slow service and okay food. My husband and I had dinner at Narai for the first time and I found the service to be very slow and poor. After we were seated it took awhile for our server to take our order. We ordered an appetizer to share, beverages and entrees. After about 10 minutes our appetizer arrived and tasted pretty good (fried spring rolls). After that we waited another 10 - 15 minutes for our entrees arrived, long after we had finished our appetizer. At that time, we mentioned to the server that we had not received our drinks. He asked us again what we had ordered and said he would return with them shortly. Then we ate our entrees. We had both ordered our food with Medium/2 spice. My husbands food was spicy, but mine was completely mild, with no apparent spice added. After we had both finished eating and set down our forks and were pretty much ready to leave, our server brought us our beverages. My husband asked for the bill and the server brought it shortly after, but never came back to take our payment. Eventually my husband went up to the counter to pay (maybe thats expected there, it wasnt clear and the server didnt mention anything). If either the service or the food was better Id try again, but I was underwhelmed by the whole experience.

We like Narai, but were vegetarians and eat alot of tofu there---in literally every dish we order. I have found out that the tofu they use is NOT ORGANIC, which unfortunately means it is almost certainly made from Genetically Modified soy, as nearly all the soy in the U.S. is GMO. We are so disappointed, because this will mean we no longer get to make it our go-to Thai restaurant, unless they can make the switch to organic tofu. GMOs have just become too problematic in terms of our health and the health of the environment....that its not a sustainable or healthy choice. I encourage Narai to seriously consider the health of their customers and our farmlands and farm workers, by switching their source to organic. It may take a bit more research, but I know there are reasonably priced sources of organic tofu, especially at the wholesale level, and it would mean just pennies per dish, to make the change. WE hope they will, so that we can return to one of our favorite restaurants!

<3 <3 <3 Food was always delicious here. Ive not have a dish I didnt like and I tried to try a different dish each time I come. It is nice for them to have vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, no wheat, no soy + blah blah blah! as an optional on their menu (Im not a vegetarian or a vegan but I know it is a pain in the rear to have to remember which dish can be made to be vegan, gluten free, soy free, wheat free and so on). The waiters and waitresses there are friendly but when you see one or two of them running around trying to serve a whole restaurant full of guests and does not have time for small talk or you had to wait awhile for your food to arrive, BE PATIENCE! Good tasting food takes time to create and you are not sitting at the fast food drive through. I will definitely go back and referred all my family and friends to give them a try : )

I have been to Narai many times. Whenever I dont feel like spending a lot of money and am in the mood for very good thai food (always), I head to Narai. The staff is extrememly polite and QUICK. They dont mind making changes to menu items and they are very good at explaining the food. If you are planning a trip to Narai, I highly recommend the fresh spring roll (I like it with tofu) and the meal that is very last on the menu. (I can never remember what its called.) I always get that with half chicken and half tofu. SO GOOD! I am a big believer in supporting local buisness, so I not only do I always leave Narai satisfied, but I feel good about the money Ive spent. Its great food for very reasonable prices.

We were a bit iffy. My boyfriend and I wanted some food. But being a Sunday everything is closed. A few place were open but they were greasy looking. So we tried here. We did not know if our plates would be a handful or the quality would be worse it. But we went for it. We posted a pic of two dishes in one pic. We loved it. And the price could make a few more bucks if u raised each dish by 2$ it be worse it. We were here for over an hour enjoying ourselves. And the customer flow was amazing a full house and Togos constant. Try this ask the waiter if u dont know dont get the bamboo dish its just bamboo and little chicken. Thanks to the waiter for the help. We will ba back!

Best Thai food in Olympia hands down! The peanut sauce is worth the trip alone. Phad Thai is delicious, generous portions. They have no to low carb options that dont allow you to feel like youre missing something. My favorite is the Rama noodle salad (e.g., is not a traditional american salad) noodles are perfect - the steamed vegis under a bed of noodles toped with prawns and peanut sauce. Ive tried most everytging on the menu, but for a perfect lunch or dinner - wonderful. Waitress remember your order when youre in hurry at lunch. Nice atmosphere. Important to me, the restrooms dont have that sickening rose airfreshner smell!!!

I had the pleasure of bringing my girlfriend here for the first time and we were extremely pleased! Finding a place where she can eat out is unfortunately difficult because of her broad food allergies. However, to our delight we discovered they offer gluten free and vegan options! And also wheat free choices as well. The atmosphere is pleasant, tastefully decorated, the Middle Eastern music was subtle and relaxing, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time and highly recommend!

For Asian cuisine in downtown Olympia, this is one of the places you must try. More consistently good than many restaurants in Olympia, Narai offers a wide menu and, although Ive visited many times, Ive not found anything I didnt like - a lot. Try the pumpkin curry. And they do tofu right, so you shouldnt fear selecting tofu, if youre pursuing a plant-based diet. Theyve a few tables for larger parties, too (8 or 10).

We ordered the Pad Kee Mow and the pumpkin curry. Both were outstanding. We go to a lot of Thai restaurants and this is definitely one of the best. The service person was fantastic and so was the owner who waited on us the second time we went. We had clear noodle stir fry and narai stir fry noodles. Again they were both excellent

The food is good, one of the more expensive places for Thai food in town. The service has gone downhill in recent months, unfortunately. We went there a couple weeks ago and sat for ten minutes without being acknowledged by the guy there who was the server. So we left and went to Mekong.

I ordered the Pad Thai and while it was a bit sweeter than what I am used to it had a wonderful flavor and was a good portion amount. The service was excellent and even though it was busy we were served quickly. Decor is interesting....a mix of traditional, Christmas and kitchy. Perfect!
