We will not be returning. Asian 1 gets 0 stars from me on this review. Its a shame too. We have gone here for years and loved that the food was fresh and could be made gf. The last few visits, the food was not as good. Within 90 min of eating dinner last night, I was ill. I had the pineapple fried rice. The pineapple tasted like it may have turned. Everything else tasted good, but the texture indicated it was not fresh. All was mushy. This was fried rice and it was not fluffy. It looked like overcooked risotto. The cucumbers were dried out. The shrimp tasted ok, but the texture was mushy, like they were old or undercooked. The chicken was dried out, like it was old or overcooked. Because the food has not been fresh, (which is what we loved in the past) and the quality has clearly declined and because I became ill (and still am sick) immediately after, we will not return. It should also be noted that they were not busy, but service was subpar and the bathroom needed attention. Disappointed.

This is our new favorite stop while down valley. We are ethnic foodies and they do very, very well. Happy Hour prices on food and bev. are fantastic--you dont even need a coupon. I cannot wait until they have sushi while I am there. They only have the sushi bar open certain days. 1st time here, my mussels were kind of cold, but I didnt even mention anything because they were so good (and we have our own restaurant!) Do yourself a favor and give the place a try--kind of off the beaten track location, but easy enough to find if you know where you are going in the area. Yum! )PS: unfortunately the service is not consistent. The time of day we go there are two or three tables at most. Yet, all we hear is the servers chatting away by the bar, rather than taking care of the customers. We have actually had to go get them at the bar twice for a drink or something and there they were TALKING---only complaint. That sucks.

Everything was great! The staff was very nice and courteous, they were always on time and didnt take too long. I was going to take a picture of my food but I was too hungry and it was too good that I totally scarfed it down. The food was really good, very nice for splitting because you get big portions. I split my dish with a friend and both of us were very full afterwards, it was enough for both of us. Anyway just a good place to go and hangout with friends if youre feeling some Thai food. The atmosphere is great too, one thing though, its always a bit cold inside so have a scarf handy or a sweater because Im always freezing when I come out from there, but its not a big deal just a little heads up for you.

Usually this place is good but now Ill never return. I ate here on the 9th around 8pm. To start out with we requested vegetable only no meat on our dishes and they included shrimp and chicken in them. When I told them they made a mistake they could not accept accountability and said thats how it comes. Even though we had requested no meat. The staff were rude and snobby. The food tasted like garbage even after they corrected it. They took one item off of the bill. Now the next day I feel sick and shaky and I have constant watery bowel evacuation. Im now extremely dehydrated and weak. I will be contacting that skagit health department. This place needs to be shut down.

I stopped here for dinner with my family while we were passing through the area. We were just hoping for an edible meal and were all very surprised at how good the food was. We had Spicy Noodles, Pad Thai, Pad Ke Mao, and Pad See Ew and they were all fantastic! My Pad Ke Mao is probably the best that Ive ever had! The food is obviously fresh and the portions were large. I could tell by the proportions of the ingredients that they were targeting people who preferred eating healthy, but it certainly didnt take anything away as far as flavor or satisfaction. Even though this is an hour from home, we may have to make this a regular stop as often as possible.

If you want more grease and salt to clog your arteries with, go to McDons or the "Chinese food" down the street. If you are willing to shed some of your primitive American palate and taste....what was that? Vegetables? Real chicken? Woah, good food, view of kitchen, nice environment, eat here on a weekly basis (I do) and dont listen to the one star Emo fools who got themselves sick to justify their hurt feelings (really dude is that a Hitler cartoon? Hitler was a piece of s***, so are you).

Watched everyone else around us get served while we waited despite having arrived well before them... not that it matters but we were the only Hispanics present. Just food for thought. When our rolls did come out they came out 1 at a time 5 -10 mins apart. She got hers first i got mine 2nd. Terrible dinning experience. Ill just make a sandwich and eat it in a parking lot next time we leave base.

I work here in Mount Vernon and have been going to Asia 1 since 2013. I absolutely love the food! I havent been going lately because the last few times the food has been very dry and not as flavorful as it was before. I ordered the Pad Thai which is one of my favorites there apart from the yellow curry. I am thinking of giving it a try again and am hoping it will be better then my last experience.

Hit and miss. Sometimes its wonderful, I cant imagine why I dont go more often.. Then the next time I remember- because my meal always tastes different. Ordering by how many stars is super inconsistent, as the last time I went I ordered spicier than usual, and it was pretty bland. Ive also been in there a few times that the food took a ridiculously long time.

Our service totally sucked the last time we went. All the servers ignored us when we asked for something, the place was not even busy and the service was very slow. On top of that they got the orders wrong. Maybe because they are not new anymore their service is going down hill? However, the food is so yummy, it might be worth the abuse for some people=:)

My family and I eat at Asian 1 weekly it seems. The food is awesome. The sushi chef is very friendly, and puts out top notch items. I really look forward to eating here, it never is boring. The way they prepare your food, and cut the carrots all very nicely done. I have not had a service problem, and would recommend this place.

Had the prawn Pad Thai. Although I wish they had put a couple more prawns in it, the food was wonderful. My server, Madison, was very friendly and just present enough for my mood. I came in after working many hours in the hot sun,about 7pm. I enjoyed the decor; great place to take a date!
