Large, no make that huge, inventory with such diversity of types of...I do not even know how to begin to write this review. One really must experience Sunrise Market. I went to the store on recommendation of a friend who enjoys cooking even more than I do. I planned on getting only one bag of frozen Korean dumplings and kimchi, but ended up sitting down to make a list of items I "needed" which quickly caused my shopping basket to overflow. My wife and I ate several great Korean meals over the next few days and I am returning to Sunrise Market with a more comprehensive list only 6 days later even though it is nearly a 2.5 hours drive for me one way! Items I can quickly recommend are the bulgogi beef (already thin-sliced, flavored perfectly and can be cut with a fork), kimchi that comes in a large bag, variety of types of dumplings/pot stickers, sushi and sushi rolls to name but a few of the "necessities" I grabbed on my poorly-planned-by-me initial visit. The folks who work here are friendly and will gladly offer cooking tips and suggestions. I really wish I lived closer to the market. You will most certainly enjoy your visit to this market. Be sure to grab a cart right when you enter the store. Youre gonna need it! And, of course, it really would not be a good idea to arrive hungry and best to allow plenty of time for your first adventure here.

I really enjoy this market. There are so many Asian-cuisine necessities that can be found there. I was slightly disappointed to see they sold potstickers, and a few different cuts of pork, but no ground pork to make the potstickers with. It worked out, I got the more normal American foods at the normal grocery store, but I love having this market in my backpocket for dinners. We do stir fry and different Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese dishes, so this restaurant allows me to go, in person, and buy the ingredients to give my dishes authentic flavor! The prices, for items I can buy at the normal grovery store, are decently lower as well. I think its definitely worth a trip if your into making Asian cuisine, even if you just enjoy the American Asian cuisine, is a fin trip. Also, the staff is always friendly and helpful!!

We love this Asian grocer because it has everything Kings Market sells, and then some. We typically shop for most of our stuff at Kings, being it is much closer and more convenient for us but whenever we need a little something extra like fresh meat (beef or pork) for stirfrys or specialty imported beer, we head to Sunrise. They even have a little cafe serving hot prepared foods and a cold case with a delicious selection of salads. It would be cool if they added in a fresh salt water tank for live lobsters/crab in the future!

Im actually really impressed with the selection of items they have! Dry goods are great and also a big selection of dishware. Produce section is very small and dont have a good turnover so they arent all fresh. But I love that they carry specific Asian veggies like obo, variety of bok choy and leafy greens. Plus, a large amount of basil for less than $2! Prices are probably on average 50¢-$1 more than prices in Portland stores but Im glad to have a store like this in Eugene! Has own parking lot for easy access.

There are many Asian markets in Eugene... THIS is the ONLY one you need! HUGE selection of foodstuffs including home made deli treats, gigantic frozen section, fresh produce, an entire aisle dedicated to sauces and more treats than youll know to choose from, cooking utensils, Asian videos, Asian medicinals... No, my friends... Sunrise Asian Market it top-notch. The kind of place youd expect to find in a much larger city. And the prices beat the other ones as well!

Hands down best asian grocer in town. I give them 5 stars because they have hot and cold deli cases, and hot steam buns generally in stock. I typically buy cultural foods for Japanese, Hawaiian and Filipino cooking. This is the place to buy Korean pepper flakes for kimchi.Sunrise also has tons of kitchen gadgets and dishes. In addition, I have seen more and more organic options including some of my favorites: sushi rice, coconut milk, tea and soy sauce.

Absolutely the best Asian market in town. Prices are extremely reasonable, produce isle is dangerous for me because I want it ALL. Variety throughout the place is mind boggling. I come in for one thing and leave with a box load because everything is so reasonable. I have to be careful about going in hungry. The owners are THE sweetest, most friendly folks you could ever ask for.

There are many different varieties of food at Sunrise, but one thing that might be concerning is the cost of some of the popular produce. Its a little over-priced compared to other asian stores in Portland and Seattle, but its excellent quality and very fresh. I recommend this store over Kings and many other asian stores in Eugene.

The owners and employees are MUCH friendlier than at Kings Asian Market. Its MUCH cleaner and doesnt have cluttered isles. They speak clearer and are much easier to understand. They are more than willing to help and offer recommendations. AND they have a much larger varity.... Many at a lesser price....

Cutest little Asian market. So nice that I dont have to go all the way to the Portland Uwajimayas for some good kimchi or miso. And their instant ramen section is a college students dream! Staff is always pleasant to work with. Selection is insane for such a small store. I love this place!

Has a great selection of all sorts of Asian products - frozen fish, sushi supplies, and ready made food, dry goods, snacks, a hot deli, and my favorite, excellent produce! I mostly eat Japanese food but they also have many other countries food. This is my favorite grocery store in Eugene!

Sunrise provides a variety of Asian, and Pacific Islands groceries. If youre looking for shoyu, portuguese sausage, or mochiko flour this is the place to go. But beware the prices of importing are extended to customers. So bring your shopping buddy to stop you before the bill does.

Great food! Great options! Good prices. They used to offer cheap produce but prices have gone up, and now many things are bundled so they are more expensive. I love the deli case. BTW, the hours listed are not correct. Call before you go to make sure they are open.

Best prices on coconut milk in the city. I respect them for keeping prices low despite the exotic nature of their wares. The owner is an older man whos tired of answering stupid questions from students about where to find stuff. The girls are all really sweet.

Its no Uwajimaya, but its the best weve got locally. The staff are very friendly and they cram a lot in a very small store, but prices are a bit steep on some items and their produce unfortunately just doesnt see enough turnover to really remain fresh.

Pricing and selection are top notch. I buy many home staples here exclusively due to the price and availability. Also love all of their kitchen gadgets and storage options. The deli is delicious and offers some great take home options as well.
