Go away Haters! Pattaya slings the best Thai in the S. Sound. Been eating there ever since I was stationed at JBLM in 2008 (their old place and the new one). Nice wait staff, cozy environs and great food. I have eaten there over a hundred (probably closer to 200) times. Nobody gets it right 100% of the time - not even the best chefs or wait staff. It is always the whiners that come out to post their passive aggressive bullshit on the internet. Probably because they didnt have the courage to say anything in the restaurant. I KNOW the staff at Pattaya will fix anything that isnt satisfactory if asked. The only criticism (very minor) is that they are a few bucks more than the other Asian places around. Probably only $3-5 per person. I know the prices because I eat at the 2 Thai, 2 Indian and the Filipino Restaurants that are within 1 mile of my house (including Pattaya). And as far as that cash only thing? I asked them one time and it is because of the credit card fees. They dont get a ton of business because of their fairly hidden location. Any small business owner knows that those fees can eat you alive if you dont deal in bulk. There is an ATM literally 40 feet away in the little corner shop in the same parking lot. Or is it easier to trash a place online because your lazy butt couldnt walk a few steps? I came online to check the hours on Thursdays and saw these last few haters. Felt I had to set the record straight. Hit me up on G+ if you have any questions.

My wife and I, as well as four other friends have been coming here for quite some time and have always enjoyed the food even though the "degree of spice" has always been confusing. This time, they went over the top. Since I enjoy spicy food, I ordered mine without changes, but my wife ordered hers "Mild". It was never explained to us that mine would be made without spices and that they would add spices to hers. When it arrived, my wife could not even eat it because it was too "hot". When we sent the plate back, the lady and the cook were offended and refused to prepare anything else for her. They didnt charge us for her order but told us that they wouldnt serve her anything else because "she might not like it either". I might not be an expert when it comes to business but it seems to me that a little hospitality at that point would have gone a long way to assure our continued patronage. We were so embarrassed that our friends and we agreed to never return to this restaurant in the future. I have recommended this restaurant many times in the past but will now have to admit we were mistaken. The lack of integrity and courtesy far out weigh anything else. I do want to mention that the waitress was absolutely wonderful and we tipped her well. PS - The "Lemon Grass Restaurant" is a great place I am told.

Best Thai food in town... or better! Get the Coconut Ice Cream for dessert. Its homemade and wonderful. Chef Ron is a good guy and makes the best food. Watch out for the spice. You will notice its not a linear scale. 1⭐ is no added spice, but for most people 2⭐ is a fiery death. The scale goes to 5⭐, and then one higher to "Thai hot". I live at 1.5⭐ for most things. If something is naturally spicy already, I go for 1⭐. Also, if Chef Ron is in the kitchen, 1.5⭐ will end up as 2⭐ or higher, so watch out. You can just say 1⭐ and a spice tray, then you can add spice yourself. Its easy to spend $25-30/person for dinner for drink, entree, and dessert, but lunch is way cheaper. My favorite dish is the Traditional Thai Basil, which is not listed in the menu. Its a pile of rice, topped with ground beef, topped with Thai basil. I go 1.5⭐ for this. Pair with Thai Iced Tea and finish with Coconut Ice Cream. It doesnt have special lunch pricing, so youll be looking at around $25 for these three items. The Thai Iced Tea doesnt come with complementary refill, so pace yourself.

4 of our 6 meals were very good. The remaining 2 were slop. 3 of the meals were Boundless Noodles. 1 was good. The service was awful. From the time the first meal came out until the time the 6th can out, 40 minutes had passed. Half of our party was done eating before the other half received their food. This is not because they were busy. There were 8 total customers in the restaurant including us. We were there for nearly 2 hours and none of the tables from previous dinners had been bused. I do not recommend Pattaya and will never return.

They only take cash now, because the owner is a dishonest business person who has several legal judgements against him for writing bad checks, for his food and equiptment purchases, and many others he has ripped off trying to collect their debts. This man is a scam artist at best, the food is not that good, the atmosphere is chincy and cold, and its just not worth eating here. In fact, please dont eat here, I dont like seeing people like this survive in business, its bad for everybody.

We have been here a few times. The service was amazing and the food servings were huge. Our family found this place on Yelp and tried it out. Curry is a must here but everything we have gotten was AWESOME! Not sure of issues that others have had (which I recently read) but they were great to my family and I. During pregnancy and after as well! Hope people arent getting confused with the other Pattaya place either. -Love the service & Food

I absolutely LOVE this place. But the service I just received will make me never return. After being. Brought my food I was never checked on, no drink refill nor asked of my food was ok. Yet I watched BOTH servers check on the other two tables, one large table who got there AFTER me and received all the food before me and I only order one entree!!!

Tried the other one and gave this one a chance. Food took a while to get out. Service was alright. Portions were definitely not worth it for the overpriced menu. The dishes seemed to be individual portion but with family style prices. Food tasted good. Nice restaurant but doubt we will return here.

I used to enjoy eating at this location before they moved to their current location. Their food is ok (only for the standards set by all the "vanilla" restaurants here in the South Puget Sound.) Another customer commented their portions are more individual but priced for family sizes.

Over priced for what you get. Used to be best Thai restaurant around but price has been going up and up. Simple prawn Pattai used to be awesome but we have noticed its been degraded over past few months. Price is higher. Too bad my daughter loves their food. Time to look elsewhere

The dishes Ive had taste pretty good, though not great. The Pad Thai has had quite good flavor every time Ive gotten it, but is basically dripping with oil. I dont expect health food, but the amount of oil is definitely excessive. The prices seem high for portion size.
