I fell in love with Red Robin decades ago in Central California when I was returning from a camping trip and very hungry. I thought burger I had (now called the Royal Red Robin) was one of the best I ever had in my life but wrote it off to being very hungry. However I have since eaten at more than a dozen of their locations and always had a great meal until this recent experience at the East Hill location. I was there on a Sunday Afternoon arriving with two others at about 4:30. The restaurant was not too busy at all. The waitress greeted us by saying she had been there since 9:00 am and was exhausted. Not good I thought. We gave her our three orders, two of which were identical as my grandson (a huge varsity offensive left end) wanted to try the same burger I had told him about. Then we waited. and waited, and waited. After about 45 minutes the waitress dropped a basket of fries on the table and refilled the ice teas. After another 45 minutes the food showed up. An hour and a half for three burgers. Waitress blamed the kitchen. However the plates were too hot to touch and the tops of the buns were dried out so clearly the plates had sit under the infrared warming lights for a long time waiting for her. By that time grandson was ready to eat the napkins. Other than the buns being dried out the burgers were okay but the third burger, a california chicken, was not. Due to the long hold under the heat lamps the the lettuce and tomatoes has fused into a glue with what purported to be quacamole but apparently served out of a can since I was offered a taste and it had the metallic bitter taste that canned quacamole gets. All in all, the sandwich was so slimed out, grandma didnt want to eat it and even her huge hungry lineman grandson refused to finish it. At that point I was so frustrated that I just wanted to get out and so we left cash to cover the check and tip and took off. I heard once that they use that store for training. Not sure if that is true or not but clearly there is a serious lack of training and QC efforts at that location. It is the closest RR to me but never going back.

Sad to say....but Red Robin, youve really gone down hill!! Not only in quality of food, but also in customer service. We visited the Kent, WA store on 8/12/15; got there about 8:30pm, not crowded at all. 1) Ordered appetizers and they came out in a timely fashion 2) main course took about 30-45 min. 3) Hamburger that my husband ordered was completely cold....it looked like it had been cooked earlier in the day, microwaved and then the cheese and condiments thrown on there. Then our friends burger was served the same way. Additionally, my son asked for cheese on his fries, which it was obvious that they just threw on a slice and barely even melted it. Yes, I understand, plastic American cheese doesnt melt very well, however, presentation and taking the time to make sure it IS melted does help. Additionally, we never got asked if we wanted more water, wine, or drinks to be refilled. We noticed that we were not the only ones around us sending food back either. The family in back of us did the same; sent their food back, then I saw the wife scraping off her cheese from her burger, which obviously tells me that she must not have ordered cheese on it. We also got to enjoy watching a couple of young ladies, probably teenagers, who seemed to be waiting for someone they knew who was working there, crawl all over between booths and sit on tables, etc. We didnt get out of there until 10:30pm...there was no need whatsoever for it to take that long. So to say well never be back there is an understatement. It is too bad that your company has slacked off on its expectations of your quality of food and service. To be honest, Wendys does it WAY better!!

I am so angry after my visit earlier today with my mother. We went in for a late lunch at around 3pm and say in the Bar which was empty besides 2 other tables. The gal that helped us was ridiculously fake nice which annoys me because I have been in the industry for 15 years. I can spot them. Then she takes our drink order which was only a come and my mother ordered coffee. It took forever to get her coffee then when she did it was cold. It took her forever to get a hot cup back to her. We 9not decides to eat there because my m9m wanted to buy gift cards for her grand kids. I told the server and she said she would get them. I just went down and grabbed them and she activated them. We shared a burger and fries and our bill for food was 15.00 and some change, when my mom got the bill the server added the cards then automatically added a 20% tip at over 13.00!! Are you kidding me??? She asked my 89 year old mom if thr tip was ok. My mom had no idea she added it. The bill came to over 79.00 after her b.s 13.00 tip on a 15.00 food order! How dare you take advantage of any customer like that let alone an 89 year old woman, and think u should get a tip on gift cards!???? I am furious and disgusted at this establishment. I had to have it reversed by the manager or whoever was at the Bar. How dare you automatically add a tip like that on a bill! Shame on you! I will be leaving more reviews about this until I hear that this person or persons responsible gets this crap fixed!

This shouldnt even be able to be given one star! SO DISAPPOINTED. Worst red robin experience Ive ever had, and I have been to a lot of red robins. Usually my favorite place to eat! Service is very slow. Waitress was rude and never ever came back once to ask about food or refill our empty cups. The girl who sat us had an attitude. My boyfriend and I both had burnt burgers, and we just dealt with it because I had already asked for new water when my lemon had red dye all over it and did not seem fresh. When I asked for a new water the manager said oh it was probably just a sprinkle, but I still wanted a new water. He seemed hesitant but then brought me a water. Never came back to check on us. Only one person helped us after everything and he was great. Thank you Niko! I will never be returning to this red robin again. Needs new management or something.

Terrible service that left us frustrated, not an experience I will pay for again. Asked for water when we got in and 4 more times, no water was brought to us until we were paying the bill! Asked for utensils 3 times, never got them! Asked for napkins 3 times, didnt come until we were already finished with all food. Food was disappointing, burger patty was thin and burnt, not the "some pink" I asked for. And waited nearly an hour for it. Cancelled second round of beers due to long delays and being done with the staff failing. Server mentioned hes taking the beers off the bill, sounded like as an apology for their failures, they were comping our first round. Nope, turned out he felt the need to tell us he took off the second round we never got, and cancelled. First time Ive felt the need to write a review because it was that bad.
