The place is real down to earth and has reasonable prices for such a unique spin on an otherwise common dish. Well, not unique for a place like Australia (meat pie shops are everywhere)... but definitely unique for South Seattle. Bottom line, the meat pies are fresh baked and the quality is consistent. I respectfully disagree with another reviewer "Jules" on this place. Ive been on multiple long-stay business trips to Australia, and for someone who had a meat pie for lunch maybe twice a week, these pies are authentic to the name. Also for what its worth, every meat pie place in Aus claims to be the best. All differ in slight ways (types of cheese, ingredients)... its all about the individuals tastes. Mine was not overbaked or chewy, it was a little round piece of "simple ingredients heaven". I make the lunch time trip every two weeks. Great service, though the reason for only 4 stars is because there is very little "eat-in" space. More cozy than cramped. On sunny days there is a nice updated park with modern art just across the street to sit and enjoy the pie. All in all, meat pies probably arent going to win the "best culinary experience of the year" award... but its definitely got a working-class simple soul-food nostalgia to it. At last, dont be afraid to try the pastries. Light and flaky, and not overwhelmingly sweet. They are almost better than the pies!

My fiance is from Australia. He just immigrated here this month, so ofcourse we were super excited to see this bakery! I have been to Australia a number of times in the last few years and ofcourse the first thing I do when Im off the plane is grab an Aussie meat pie. Upon entering the shop we see that you can get Aussie goods that you cant buy in grocery stores here, ok thats a bonus. But the pies are no where near the standard of what you would consider the best aussie pie. The crust was chewy like pizza dough and was severly over baked. The steak and cheese pie that I ordered was not up to standard, and the wrong cheese was used as a filling. I could not finish this pie, the flavor was bland and the crust (which is suppose to be the best part) was just awful. The sausage rolls were very dry and overcooked, the Lamingtons were not anywhere near what I have had in the past. So dissapointed, looks like Ill still be making these at home since I cant get a good Australian pie anywhere on this side of the ocean.

This place has got Australian food right. Forget about servers with fake accents, chintzy dundee decorations, and fancy fried onions (I honestly dont remember ever going to a steakhouse in the 15 years I was in Australia), the quintessential quick Australian meal has got to be a good savoury meat pie (ketchu-er, tomato sauce optional)... and maybe a sausage roll to follow it up. If youre ever in the Burien area and fancy a bite to eat youd be doing yourself a huge disservice by not dropping in on the Australian Pie Co. Expats in the area know this place is legit. The only thing missing is the rugby on the telly. Protip: Get some of their frozen meat pies to go.

OH. MY. GOD. THESE PIES ARE AMAZING!!!! The guy who helped was super informative and enthusiastic. The store was clean and the smells were worth paying for in themselves! I officially have a new obsession. I had the chicken and asparagus pie and it is legit perfection. Im a pie crust snob and this pie is hands down perfectly perfect perfection. The crust is flaky, yet chewy, and doesnt get overwhelmed by the filling (which is seasoned to perfection and not overdone in the slightest) and its got the perfect size and sturdiness to eat by hand without making a mess. ITS PIE-FECTION. Support local businesses!!

Drove to this little shop from federal way after buying a groupon. Love this meat n potatoes type of food. Tried several pies and took some frozen ones home. Prices seem very fair. I was expecting the meat to have chunks, but its more of a very fine ground beef in a gravy with mashed potatoes on the top. Almost like a shepards pie with pie crust. I probably wont make a trip back down for the pies, but if Im the neighborhood I may swing by. Wouldve given four stars, but the staff texting on their phones while taking my order wasnt the best experience.

I LOVE this place. They have great hand pies with a particularly fine dough . They also have large family sized pies for dinner. In addition, they carry British specialty items here as well. My favourite is Kidney if they have it - otherwise Beef & Mushroom, but they also have chicken and veggie options as well as other beef varieties. You will also find Sausage Rolls. Reasonably priced, a hand pie is about $4. Last of all you will find LAMINGTONS here - which is white cake dunked in chocolate topped with shredded coconut. SO GOOD!!

Their crusts are tasty, the insides are a little too salty for my taste, and their prices are great. I tired 3 of their pies and they were pretty good other than the extra salt. Ill have to come again and try the desserts, they look amazing. Google maps took me to a back road to get there, I drove around the block to find the front entrance, located across the street from a park next to the Burien library.

Passed by this place with my boyfriend and decided to go in on a whim because we had never heard of it before. So warm and delicious. I cant speak for authenticity since we were new to the pie game but if you want to try something different, arent opposed to pot pies definitely give it a try. They are small so its easy to get one to try it but youll fo sho want a 2nd.

Love it! These pies are more like hand pies than traditional american pot pies. I would compare them to piroshkies. Extremely reasonably priced (dare I say cheap) and quick. You can even get a bunch frozen and take them home to bake fresh yourself. Also, the only stores Ive seen in the greater Seattle area that consistently carries Tim Tams. Amazing.

The closest to a good kiwi pie you can find. Too much Aussie gears and they were out of lemon lime and bitters, but they did have ginger beer and some bundaburg so my wife was happy. Great price great food. We live an hour away and have to visit at least once a month. Now if we could find a nice kiwi fish and chips shop....

I dont generally eat this kind of food as i dont like a lot of pie crust/flour however I wanted to give this shop a try since its new in the hood. I have to say i will forgo my food preferences once in a blue moon to eat here. I tried 3 different pies, and there were tasty. The fruit pie could have more filing though.

My favorites are the beef, cheese and bacon pies and the chicken and asparagus. My kids love the BBQ chicken pies. Amazing place. Very nice and welcoming. In good walking distance in downtown burien area. Kid friendly and always a joy to go there. Reasonable and delicious! Oh my goodness everyone should try!
