Tonight I wanted to go out to a place I USED to love. The ambience, setting, and service have always been great. The food and drinks are also very good! However, I have had the worst evening of my life tonight. My fiance and I go out frequently, and this restaurant is a place we have visited many times. On valentines day 2016, we had poor service and chose not to tip. As bad as that sounds, we feel the server did not give any attention to us, and did not earn a tip. I have worked in the food industry, and if I ever gave poor service, even if not by my fault, I expected little to no tip. That being said, this evening my fiance and I went to enjoy the happy hour. When we pulled up the online menu for $6 cocktails, our server, the bar manager Kelen Wing, told us that was an old menu and he is not in charge of keeping it updated online. He was kind enough to honor the price anyway. However, he was very short, rude, and inconsiderate to the fact that the website was advertising something that was not up to date. He did not apologize, and seemed hesitant to honor the price. The entire evening after that encounter was awful. I had a great time with my fiance, and our food and drinks were excellent. But the service was terrible, our server Kelen Wing did not give us care, time, or support. We asked for recommendations for food and drink, and got nothing. We did not give us much eye contact, and he seemed consumed in other matters, not his guests, myself and my fiance. After all was said and done, we left no tip. This was the second time, out of many occasions at the Beach house, when we did not tip our server. The attitude, service, and demeanor Kelen Wing was displayed was disrespectful and appalling. After we payed out bill and left, we were intercepted by Kelen Wing at the front desk (host/hostess desk). Kelen confronted us about the no tip payment. We attempted to give him our feedback and recommendations, but he asked us to step outside. I was offended, and felt as if he wanted to fight me, or attack me verbally. I was cooperative and agrreed to step outside to respect other restaurant guests. When my fiance and I attmepted to give our feedback and thoughts on why we did not tip, in a civil manor, he legitimately asked us why we did not tip tonight AND valentines day. I was so shocked and offended, that incould not speak for a few moments. Kelen Wing had the audacity and lack of integrity to pull me and my fiance outside of the establishment to attack us about an evening that took place in Feburary of 2016. After many attempts to provide my honest opinion on why we did not tip, and what recommendations we personally had, Kelen threatened to call the police. He stated, "you both have had drinks, and you could all talk to the police about this. After all we are on private property and you are not being cooperative." I was beyond offended, disrespected, and embarrassed at the fact that Kelen Wing, the bar manager at BeachHouse bar and grill, threatened to call the police on patrons attempting to give feedback, which he requested. We were not angry, loud, or disrespectful to Kelen, yet he threatened to call the police instead of hearing our feedback. We were very cooperative and calm, yet he stated the following: "You are on private property and you have been drinking, i can call the police."When we asked to speak to a manager or owner, Kelen stated he is the manager of the bar, and no one else is available. We feel as if we were treated with the utmost disrespect. We felt as if we were targeted for not tipping on valentines day. (HOW THE HELL DID HE KNOW, AND WHAT DOES IT MATTER?) We felt as if Kelen Wing purposely gave us poor service and chased us out of the restaurant. We are shocked, appalled, hurt, and disgusted at the service and attack we recieve at an establishment we used to love. I will tell all of friends, family, and anyone who asks, that the BeachHouse bar + grill treats their guests with poor service, disrespect, and attacks if they do not tip (if they receive terrible service).

Very expensive for what you get. TL;DR: bland oily food and weak drinks. Drinks: Cocktails were very weak, beer selection was lacking. Starter: Salt & pepper wings served with fried garlic and jalapenos...chicken tasted of nothing and the fried garlic and jalapeno topping tasted only of burnt garlic. We also noticed 4 of the wings were broken so shards of bone were embedded in the meat. Entree: I had the seafood skewers; the jasmine rice was dense like they added too much water then squished it onto the plate, the skewers were oily and bland, the salmon did not taste fresh, and the "dressing" tasted like stale sesame oil with a hint of soy sauce. My husband had the Paella which was also oily and flavorless... even the andouille sausage was bland.

Made a reservation for a rainy Saturday night meal. We went here on my wifes 30th birthday, along with her sister and mother. They stated there was nothing extra they did or provide for a birthday when asked; e.g. drinks, specials, etc. Our servers were excellent. Parts of the meals were excellent, some okay, and some not worth it. Most of them enjoyed their drinks, but I dubbed mine the, "10-dollar-disappointment." The booth barely accommodated us four, because of purses, coats, umbrellas; which were not offered to be checked in at the door. Parking was horrible. There is additional parking located elsewhere, which had to be used. I doubt I would go back again unless explicitly asked.

Really liked this place and visited often, but with the change of the chefs the quality of the food has gone down dramatically. After the change everytime we went there, there was always a mistake with our food and the taste of the dishes have completely change (not in a good way). We tried once again today and still the meals are below par and simple requests of the meals (like no tomatoes on burger) were not met. Probably will not be going back, as now the food is just as mediocre as other common restaurants. Really sad to see another favorite restaurant go down hill.

Very, very loud during 9pm Happy Hour. Ears hurt. Happy hour salad was very good! Husband had seafood Tacos, but was not hot, only warm. Good taste, but took 40 minutes to get food despite our waitress letting us know that food will be right out, three times. Generally get brunch from time to time, but wont be making Wednesday night happy hours. I will opt for something lower key and without the noise and lower anxiety level, like a favorite go-to, such as Market St. Grill. Will still definitely have intermittant weekend breakfast at BeachHouse, cant beat the view.

We ordered the pesto manilla clams-many to too large for our preference, the seared Ahi tuna was good, nothing special but good. As main dishes we ordered the house burger with garlic fries and the teriyaki chicken sesame salad, which was very good. The comment on the burger was "All-American goodness!" but the garlic fries seasoned with large chunks of garlic was not so special. Overall we gave this our own rating of 8.3/10

Bar is often filled with fashion-conscious Kirkland people, but the view and the staff and the wait times have never disappointed. Excellent view over the water, good TV placement for sports fans, standard Bar and Grill food in good portions, medium size bar with most of the great views as the restaurant. Small parking lot with an extra one reportedly one block north from the restaurant. I often park on the street nearby.
