Food wasnt bad - but service was awful! This was my first time going to Flo, and I have been to more than a fair share of sushi places. The sushi was amazing - and presented very well. When it came to the service, it was awful and the worst that I had in a very long time. We were with a party of 8, and had two seperate servers for each side of the table. The woman that was in charge of getting our drinks took over 20 minutes to get us water... we all ordered a Sake Martini, as well - which took an additional 15 minutes. When we ordered our food(appetizers, soups, salads, sushi and meals), everything came out at seperate times for each of us. Normally, everyone should get their appetizers at the same time. The people in our party that ordered soup, didnt even get spoons, and by the time we flagged down our server to get one, their soup had gotten cold. Salads were served without forks... We were there for an hour before we got our sushi appetizers which were then served at the same time as our entrees. The server was rude, and seemed like she didnt care about taking care of us. When we finally got our bills(which was the only thing they did in a timely manner), we realized why they didnt care about the quality of service they were offering because we were charged a 20% gratuity, that we were not told about. I normally dont care about paying grat, but with how awful the service was, they didnt deserve a $26 tip on my $134 bill. I will not go back to this place, unless its for carry out. I would not recommend this place to parties over 4, either.

The attention to detail, the customer service, and freshness of sushi at Flo is unparallelled!! I have been going there for 5 years now and nowhere else compares. I feel that the owner and regular servers are family - and Im not Japanese. This is the place to take your out-of-town guests for a perfect evening - or just take yourself on the night when you need a treat. And yes, worth every cent. Also, one reviewer described the decor critically as "hospital cafeteria" - I honestly dont know what he is talking about - the warm yellow walls, original art, and flowing water fountain are the PERFECT sushi decor...and something I would be thrilled to find in a hospital cafeteria!

This is the by far my favorite place to go for Sushi in Bellevue. I come here all the time, and I have never had a meal that wasnt excellent and beautifully served. The salmon nigiri is my favorite. it is simply "melt in your mouth fresh" and delicious every time. I could eat this every day. They have a really good happy hour, I love the Seattle roll and the Washington roll, oh and the Spider roll too. The service is terrific, they are friendly, attentive, and gracious. Yes they do get very busy, so I try to call ahead for a reservation if its during peak hours. I love FLO!

Very solid sushi restaurant if one is unable to travel to Seattle. I think the options in Settle are better in regards to price and taste. The wait times can get a bit long before food is served as well. Regardless of all of this, my two experiences here have been fantastic. The sushi was very delicious and the ambiance was more quiet and relaxed rather than the more bustling nature of sushi bar styles (though they also do have a sushi bar). Reservations were very easy to make so great if you want high quality food within a reasonable period of time.

This place serves the best sushi Ive ever have. Every time I eat there its wonderful. I have only gone during happy hour during the week. I drive all the way from Everett, Wa to eat at Flo. The prices are amazing during their happy hour, and I havent seen better prices anywhere. Ive spent more on sushi at the grocery store and gotten truly terrible sushi. The people are always nice and attentive. Service and food delivery is fast. Its always fresh and plentiful, no skimping or old fish here. I always tip big and leave stuffed and happy!

This is the best sushi in Bellevue and perhaps the best overall Japanese restaurant as well. Ginza is good. I love Sushi doesnt compare. But Flo Sushi Restaurant is sometimes considered the most expensive, but its definitely the freshest, nicest sushi restaurant there is. You can tell the difference just about the second you walk in. The lunch can be a lot cheaper as well, but just as good. Great stuff all around. I wouldnt call it special occasion dining, but it is good. Definitely.

Ive eaten at many sushi restaurants. This place looks nice but the pros stop there. We came at lunch and it was full and had to wait 10 minutes which they told us would be a 5-10 min wait. The hostess/owner was not pleasant or helpful, even denying us to sit at the sushi bar because there were apparently not enough servers to assist a full sushi bar. The sushi tasted very salty. Fresh, but salty. Our server was very nice, and the food came out quickly. So quick, pretty, salty sushi.

I went to Flo December 2008 and had an amazing meal. The special soup with leaks and puff pastry was divine. My companion had the ribs for dinner, and the tender meat fell easily off the bone. I enjoyed the sole which was excellently prepared with some fingerling potatoes. The serving sizes however are on the small size, and a bit pricey. I think the cost of the food just reflects how high of quality and fresh it is. but the price of the excellent food is worth it. Excellent.

I absolutely loved the ambiance of Flo Restaurant. I didnt get a chance to try the Sake, but there was a very large and appealing variety. The flavor of the seaweed salad and spicy tuna roll were great, and there were gluten-free options for my gf friend. I was a little disappointed at how small the tuna rolls were, about the diameter of a nickle, and I ended up with a really bad stomach ache that night. If it wasnt so far, Id definitely give Flo another chance!

My wife and I ate here while visiting Seattle last week. I ordered sushi and it was pretty good, with a little twist: they made it spicy with what seemed like salsa and not the spicy mayo normally on sushi. We also ordered udon but were a bit disappointed because it didnt come in the normal broth--instead, the little broth it had was really thick and had a heavy teriyaki flavor. We would consider going back, well just know not to order the udon again.

The waiter accidentally knocked a full glass of beer down on my trousers/sweatshirt. They said sorry maybe 10 times - and as our food was just served we decided to eat it. When the bill came, the only discount offered was a new beer ! After complaining they took 12.50 of the price - I would have expected a free meal after that !

We eat here several times a year and it is always great. Food is superb as is the service. Owners are usually one site so things really click. The preparations are varied and interesting while the fried items are quite light. Usually order several smaller items then share. A go to restaurant for authentic Japanese and Asian food.
