This review is not about Laurawoods Beer. That topic can is a personal choice and one that would would simply be an opinion and not necessarily helpful to a review like this. This review is to point out the excitement that I and many others had when we heard this place was opening, only to be completely let down by its employees. I would not write this review if we had only one instance, but after many visits within a few months it is fair to say that a fair judgement can be reached. It saddens me to see a place like this with promising beginnings turn into something that many of us will no longer consider when heading out. The staff simply doesnt care what you order, and when you do they seem annoyed by ones questions. There are many other restaurants nearby that are better suited to grabbing a beer, eating dinner, and hanging out. The best part is, those other restaurants will be excited to have you be their quest, even if it is for a short while.

I was in the group with Jennifer below and as she said, the service was AWFUL. The waitress was never around, our food took forever (it wasnt busy at all) and messed up when it came to the table. I ordered a sandwich and asked for no onions. The sandwich that came with my fries had onions, another sandwich my friend ordered with soup did not so we switched sandwiches. When I told the waitress what happend (she didnt want to give me more fries that i had ordered) she told me I didnt ask for no onions and was very rude about it. Obviously she got the "no onion" part because one of the sandwiches did not have them and I was the only one that asked for no onions. So she did hear me she just accused me of not telling her. And the "free"cake was a joke. I threw mine away it was awful. Im only putting one star because I cant put zero stars. Not sure if I will ever go back.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new place, when we arrived we were quickly seated and our orders were taken. He got strawberry lemonade that tasted like crystal light. I ordered a drink off the cocktail menu called Huckleberry Pres. it was advertised as huckleberry infused vodka with fresh lime juice and sprite. The drink was not good at all, it tasted nothing of huckleberry it only tasted like lime juice soda. It has so much lime juice it was hardly drinkable with lime pulp in it. The lime on the top of the glass was brown. We both ordered smoked salmon Alfredo. It came with two large pieces of garlic bread which were good. The Alfredo was good, very creamy. The smoked salmon was almost sweet which gave the whole plate a weird flavor. It wasnt my favorite but I would go back to try something else. They had a very diverse menu and the service was great.

Very poor service. We waited for 10 minutes before anyone acknowlaged we were even there. Once our party of 5 was seated we were interupted by one of our three servers, quite rudely. After that when I tried to order a beer she said "what" and walked away. Then we meet our next sever who is obviously annoyed with having to do her job. When yet another server brings our meal, he sets it down and says "alright" and walks away without so much as asking if we needed anything else. They said they were slammed but there were only 4 other tables, and staff was just chilling around at the bar. It was Sunday and painfully obvious everyone there hates their job. Managment needs to do something here. The food was good. And the beer was good. If you have hours to wait.

After reading the reviews we were skeptical about going. We had several people tell us they had good experiences, so we decided to give them a try. I dont know about other people, but we had excellent service--from the time we walked in the door until we left. We had the beer sampler and decided what beer we wanted. The beer was very good. We each tried something from the menu. We were NOT disappointed. With the Sampler, two beers, and two meals, our total was about $40. The other nice thing was that it wasnt so noisy we couldnt talk. A lot of places are too loud and you cant carry a conversation. We will go back again.

Ive been a customer since you opened. Lately the daytime service stinks. Seems to be no teamwork. We ordered our beer and took forever to order our good. Wasnt the bartenders fault. He was running his ass off. Patio was busy and every booth in the bar was filled. Couldnt help but notice 2 women doing very little. One was worried about wrapping silverware the other just standing around. Btw only one table to be services on the other side. Seriously thinking of moving on to a new pub. One more competitive. 5 stars to our waiter Todd,

Wasnt too impressed with the service, especially with being a server myself. There was a group of 8 of us. We almost felt rushed by our server like we had came 10 minutes before close or something but we still had 2 hours left. When our food actually came it was cold. My mom ordered a Gyro and it was Hamburger Meat not Lamb like it should of been. I think our server came around and refilled our waters like once. He wasnt very personable. My southwest chicken wrap was good, just wished my fries wouldnt have been cold. :/

I come here usually once a week and it is fantastic. Laurelwood provides a friendly atmosphere and wonderful beer to go with the great food. There are 7 beers always on tap which provide a good variety, but there are always a few seasonal beers written on the chalkboard. Over the past year they have changed the menu twice, and every time there has been a new favorite of mine. There are daily specials, wing monday (50 cents each), and happy hour daily 3-6 9 to close (3 dollar pints). What is not to like.

We brought in a large group and were disappointed with the service. Its one thing when a place is packed, but when your server is hanging out at the bar chatting with other staff members ... a poor review is in order. When youre getting an automatic 18% gratuity, I guess there isnt much incentive. Nice selection of beer and an interesting selection of entrees but happy hour food is mediocre. Perhaps smaller groups will get better service. I wont be arranging large group gatherings there again.

Walked in without a reservation and we were seated right away. We had three kids between us and were thrilled with the kids area- train table, dinosaurs, legos, buckets of crayons- amazing! The kids were content to play while we ate. The food was great. We all ordered very different dinners and several appetizers, everything was great and everyone was happy. My husband has sent several people down there since and we will be going back next week! Our kids cant wait (ages 1, 2 and 5).

This brewpub has great happy hour grub and different outstanding brews every few weeks. Dined here maybe a dozen times over the last year and keep coming back. The place gets busy in the evenings but the servers are always hustling and friendly. The building is unique with high ceilings and lodge-style architecture and decor, outdoor area, quiet private booths as well as tables in the open that tend to have more activity and noise around them. Love this place :)
