Cant believe the rating I read here! The first order that came up was chao mian. It was hardly warm and all broken pieces like in picture. It totally looked like leftover. Gross! Next was pad thai, fish and BBQ chicken. Each dish was like premade and served at order. The last one BBQ chicken even came sizzling on an iron dish. But the chicken was nearly warm again. Its a restaurant serving fast-food but pretend to be made as ordered. The price wasnt nice either. My fish of $14.99 was a hardly warm pre fried tilapia. Not tasty at all. When I asked the waiter: did you actually brake the noodles to short pieces before cooking? He said he didnt know about that one and hurried away. The waitress took my whole plate of spoons and forks away (we were using chopsticks). I said can I keep a fork.... PLEASE...She simply didnt hear me as she rushed away, even though I said louder and louder and she was less than two tables away as I finished. I need a knife and a fork to cut my large BBQ chicken into bite size....

I love Thai food and try all restaurants I can, so my feedback is based on all this experience. Its time Hood River got a Thai restaurant. If this joint is run well, it will do well. Here is my feedback based on one visit. 1. The service was slow and Ive heard that from others. 2. The prices are definitely competitive. 3. The portions are smaller than average, so the unit cost is not as competitive. 4. The green curry was good - not bad but not excellent. Id get it again and I give it a 3-star ranking. 5. My friends dish was served cold, the tofu wasnt fried completely and the rest of the dish could be much better. I give it a 1-star ranking. The average is 2 stars.

I work in Sandy and our office frequents Thai Home almost on a weekly basis! If you are looking for the best food in Sandy, Thai Home is the place to go. The service is always great and timely. The food is so amazing. I am a Thai food lover, and this is one of the best in the greater Portland area. My husband always gets the pad thai or the yellow curry. My favorite is the eggplant basil or the sizzling spinach! The food is always fresh tasting and not oily like alot of other Thai places. The harden rolls and peanut sauce are my favorite snack! We love Thai Home in Sandy and highly recommend them to all the food lovers in town!

My wife and I just got back from Thailand a couple months ago and we were jonesing for some Thai. After going to the movies with my parents and grandparents, we went out for that food at Thai Home. They were kind, helpful, and prompt with their service - but the food just didnt do it for me. I didnt like Thai Home very much I think. There was just too much sugar in their pad Thai - and their crab and cheese wan tons were pretty bad, too. I didnt hate it, though. Its the kind of thing where - if someone wants to go there, I will and perhaps Ill try something new - but I wont be the one to bring it up.

Have been here several times and every time the food has been outstanding, The service is quick but not attentive, I feel my drink should just not ever go empty, my wife and I would gladly spend 10-15 dollars more a visit in drink sales if the focus of service was there, I truly believe it is a culture thing, I have never had excellent drink service from an Asian restaurant, I suppose they do not understand the place drinking has in American culture. The people that work there are however very kind, considerate and appreciative that you are there. If I forgot to say it, OUTSTANDING food..

I love the Spicy Fried Rice and Spicy Noodles. I love so many other things but always fall back to those two because theyre so good! I always have a Thai Iced Tea also. The soup they serve with lunch and the spring rolls are amazing. At lunch I usually order the Spicy Noodles lunch special and either add extra chicken for $1.00 or get a side of rice and take some home. So good and very friendly staff. Its such a small place and theyre usually busy so expect a small wait but it will be worth it!

This is my favorite Thai food restaurant! Pad Thai and spicy noodles with chicken are great, as well as the pineapple curry. Friendly service, decent portions, competitively priced, and tastes great. The lunch specials are the best because they serve this DELICIOUS soup, along with a spring roll and tapioca desert. Weekends and evenings are busy and this place is small but the turn over time is pretty quick. Highly recommend.

Coming back from the mountain one time, me and some friends stopped and had dinner. AMAZING. This is probably my favorite thai place and Ive been to upwards of 20 thai places in the portland area. Although its not really in portland, if you;re ever craving some thai food on the way to or from mt hood, go here you will not be dissapointed. Great service, they even gave us free dessert??? Very Authentic

10 star rating! We LUV their food and so does everyone else! Sometimes theyre crowded and sometimes is a little wait, but not too bad, but well worth waiting 10-15 mins on their busiest days. But no matter how busy, its ALWAYS great. always delicious and very tasty. Wishing they could open up a bigger place or perhaps open up a 2nd one on other end of town...betcha theyd still be super busy even then!

Me & my husband really like this place. The service is always good. I usually get my favourite sweet&sour with shrimp,he gets a pad woon sen, both dishes are delicious and fresh, definitely not bland! Even though they dont look big,but we always get some tapioca pudding for free, which completes the meal perfectly. Never left this place half-full. I am definitely going to try more dishes!

Hands down the best restaurant in Sandy. Food is always fresh, authentic and plentiful. The family and friends from Thailand that own and operate the restaurant are the most amazing people. They are very kind and caring and their love for people, food, spirituality and culture transcends itself in the delicious cuisine they love to share with Sandy.

Nice service, but food Reminded me more of Chinese food then Thai, pad Thai seemed to be made with cheap sweet and sour sauce n otherwise void of flavor. My ladies dish was better. Fried spring rolls were very tiny so mostly bread, sent back they happily took off bill. Been to about 20 other Thai places in Portland, would not go back here.

We went to the Mt. Hood area for our honeymoon, and on our first night we decided to eat at Thai Home. We were so impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. The portion sizes were a little small, but it tasted great. The homey feel and the quick service definitely makes it a place I would recommend to anyone.
