This is the only sushi place on Bainbridge so they can basically do what they want. They used to have a good gluten free menu but changed the vinegar the used in the rice to something cheaper that isnt gluten free so nothing is celiac safe anymore. They have limited open hours. You usually have to book in advance by at least a day. One time I showed to see if they had seats at the bar and they were very rude when I said I didnt have a reservation. The place is also overpriced. It gets 2 stars because the atmosphere is nice and they have a good drink selection.

Cant say the food wasnt good, but for a Japanese restaurant its rather average. Service is a bit slow, but hey, its on an island, what the rash. We often get a special hand roll for desert, we described all 4 ingredients in Japanese and English. It turned out to be the first Japanese restaurant we visited in US for the last 15 years that we couldnt get the roll.

The sushi is very good. Try the dragon and BI rolls. The spicy tuna roll is tasty too. My husband and I have eaten both in the restaurant and had carry out. Though the service was good, I have to say I did not like sitting at the table in the area next to the front doors. It felt like we were sitting in the foyer.

Five stars for lunch, four stars for dinner. The food prepared throughout the day at SuBI is very high quality, but the lunch menu is something special, both in terms of choices and value. Eat lunch here first, then go back again for dinner when you just cant stay away. Which is likely.

Noisy, rude service, and very mediocre Asian food. Bainbridge deserves a good sushi place, but this isnt it. Ill never go back. There are plenty of great options for Thai and Indian on the island so look elsewhere.

Overall I like their sushi. Not really any other option except the lovely ladies at TC who also make a pretty passable spicey tuna. Service was fast, I love sitting at the bar!

My 9 year old loves this place. Great Bento boxes for kids, and very child friendly. Theres lots for adults to enjoy here too. Always a fun time, and in a great location!

If you want good sushi with quality fish you need to go to Seattle. I grew up and Bainbridge and there hasnt been good sushi here since B.I. Sushi House closed.
