I made a reservation for my girlfriends birthday for 5 of us. We waited 20 minutes before the server decided to drop by. We waited to order another 15 minutes to order a second round of drinks... my girlfriend went to the bar herself and of course the bartender was rude. then we had to ask for menus, " oh, they havent given you those yet?". we ordered appetizers. were finished eating appetizers and literally no one to order food from. At no point were we checked up on, asked if we wanted anything else... drinks water more food nothing!!. This is the second time ive bin here and the second time ive been treated very poorly. Im begining to think you guys have an issue with NON-WHITE people as I have heard this from others as well. Never again. NEVER!!!

When my family and I first walked into the restaurant, one of the first things you notice is the tattered furniture, which immediately reminded me of Food Networks "Restaurant Impossible". So, we were a little worried. The service is great here and the food is delicious, however after we first went we all got food posioning and were very ill. The food was so good we thought it must have been from other food we ate that day. So, we went back. Unfortunately, we all got badly ill again, this time it seemed worse than the last. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this after eating here. The food is so good, but I am scared to go back. :(

Been here many times...Slow for a friday. Open Table had reservations at 6 or 7 30...Empty tables, No one at the front desk. Waiters good... Rest of help surly, no eye contact, no responce to tanks yous, surly . drunks at the next room were not admonished...many left and/or commented on the noise. Food portions small. mine was cold and raw in the center...Fish spectial. from now on...back to Panama Hotel, san rafael. We come from napa (small "n" emphasized.... Obviously very dissapointed...Feels like the restaurant/franchise has been sold, new management...whatever...MANY other places in the area to put up with "D" quality & service.

We have been here years ago and one thing I didnt forget were their mussels - to die for. So when we drove past we had to try again, and again they didnt disappoint. We love to sit at the cheft table and watch the action - and although that was not normally set up for lunch, they accommodated our wish without any fuzz. Thanks! The *Sake Steamed PEI Mussels w/ homemade spicy coconut curry sauce* didnt disappoint this time either - amazing! We followed with *Alaskan Cod Fish & Chips w/ blue cheese coleslaw* and *Steak Frites w/ Jack Daniels sauce* - both yummie. Unfortunately, there was not room left for dessert... ;o).

This is one of the best restaurants in Novato. They have a great happy hour featuring a variety of martinis and half-priced apps and pizzas. While the Wildfox has great food (steaks, pastas, burgers, pizzas, etc), where they really shine is their dessert menu!! Butterscotch pudding, chocolate molten caramel cake, homemade toffee ice cream, and there famous sundae towered with roasted marshmallows are just the start. Make sure to save room!! Also, everyone raves about their brussel sprouts.. I dont like brussel sprouts, but apparently these are the worlds best!!

Cindy, We had a similar experience, It seems we were there at the same time. Im hoping it was just the wrong time to go. I just found your rating, as I was looking up the number to call them and report the same thing.. and so here, I respond to your post. We had a delicious appetizer and have been battling from it for a couple of days.. Had a great time there, drinks and crab cakes were super yummy. unfortunately....they tasted better than they felt, we think maybe it was the sauce we dipped it in, cuz hubby ate more of it than I did..and is worse off.

Under staffed for this price point. Lunch was full, bartender was working hard as can be but overwhelmed. Bartender servicing tables, drinks, bar food patrons. Celebration wedding spot in the summer. Staffing unacceptable. Asked 3 times for bread finally went in the kitchen to fetch it myself. Food was good.

I eat at the Wildfox quite often, its a great place, atmosphere is nice, food is pretty good, its a perfect place for lounging at the bar or taking a large group of people (but of course less people is good too). Its an all around good steakhouse, love their wasabi mashed potatoes and horseradish mashed potatoes

Eh...this place is OK. Better than average food, but the beers were ice cold. I ordered the southwestern chicken salad with an order of fries. Everything tasted fine just nothing that would "WOW" you. I wanted to rate it 3, but I bumped it to 4 because I enjoyed my beers here.

Kids meal cones with dessert but not a drink. They charge 2 dollars for Apple juice and fill the cups up a quarter of the way. And no refills. Servers look down on you and give you the feeling that you are wasting their time if you dont order a drink. Terrible experience

Our party of nine thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. The only problem was a mixup, they forgot to bring my dessert! All was good at the end. Will return and will recommend to others.

Took my girlfriend here for a late dinner. They were very friendly to have us and very prompt to serve. Loved the service, loved the food, loved the environment. Prices run in the mid-to-high range. Will definitely come here again.

Love this restaurant / bar for Happy Hour and dinner. There is usually a wait, so a reservation is recommended, but youll be glad you did. Ive never had a bad meal, and never left hungry. Great for birthdays, date night, lunch.

The food here in surprisingly good - the whole chicken tastes unbelievable. The servers are very friendly and make good recommendations. Its family friendly but for the most part its quiet enough to enjoy a good meal as a couple.

Terrible meal and worse service. We sat with our overcooked flubbery steaks for 30 minutes with empty drinks and no check. We finally just left after being abandoned by the waitress. They deserve zero stars. Avoid avoid avoid!!

Average food. Snuck additional money onto my credit card as a service charge. Only discovered because I happened to check my statement and receipts. Dishonest and thieves. Do not go.

Very friendly, fun, the meal each time was excellent, the vegetables as the meat (also fish) were very good, the wine and cocktails were delicious, well I will be back again!
