Dirty and disgusting!! My husband and I visited this location this evening, 9/8/2017. Upon entering, the front counter was unattended, and someone eventually arrived from the back of the establishment to take our order and money for the buffet (we stood at the counter for roughly 5 minutes). The cash register area should NEVER be left unattended. Over half of the dining area was cordoned off on the back right-hand side, so that left very minimal seating area for customers. EVERY SINGLE TABLE WAS FILTHY, COVERED IN FOOD AND DIRTY DISHES! If wed not have already paid $26 for two people to eat, wed have left without hesitation. The entire time we were there (roughly 30-35 minutes), no one came out to clean anything up.. one table near the doors, remained completely filled with dirty plates, roughly 25 plates stacked and filled with food. My husband and I cleaned food and what appeared to be dried on salad dressing or pizza sauce from one of the tables closest to the salad bar for our seating on our own accord, as should have been done by those working there. Food was hard and mostly cold, as if it had been sitting in place for several hours, definitely not even close to being fresh (this was around 7:30-8:00 PM on a Friday night!). People who had left shortly after wed arrived, leaving plates on the tables, again those tables were never cleaned off, and the staff watched the ladies leave. As my husband and I left, we cleaned off the table that wed used, so that there would be at least ONE clean table for others who may have come in after wed left. Wed not eaten in a Cicis location in quite some time, and this was our first visit to one of the local Cicis since weve lived here in the Colonial Williamsburg/Newport News area for almost 4 years. And this will be our last time patronizing this Williamsburg location!! One would think, that being in a high traffic, tourism rich area, that the establishment would be clean, staff attentive & performing their duties, and food fresh, but sadly this location was not as it should have been. I am highly disappointed in this particular location of one of my familys favorite restaurant chains. Sadly, if I could give this location a zero rating, I would. With our visit this evening, and the condition in which it was in, there needs to be a complete revamping of staff, training on proper work ethic, cleaning/sanitizing tables and all that goes into working in a food establishment (I am a previous restaurant manager, so I do know very well how operations should flow) and a visit from the City/County Health Inspectors office. With the condition of the dining area, I didnt dare visit the restroom facilities, for fear that they would be far worse than the dining area itself. I am very disappointed with this location, and will vehemently urge all of my friends and co-workers to dine elsewhere.

I consider myself to be a regular here due to my job nearby in Williamsburg, and I absolutely love it. Before I begin my review, I would like to point out that this is a franchise store and not a corporate store, so they dont have the $5 buffet, or any other promotions offered by Cicis. With that in mind, consider yourself warned. The pizza is great as always. I usually get the ham pizza because for some reason the cheese blend they use is just YUM! I also like their macaroni & cheese pizza too. Availability of pizzas is random & sometimes they can be slow to put more pizza on the line-up when business is slow. The place is usually fairly clean but it depends on how busy they are. The staff are pretty cool, and Ive never had a bad customer experience with them. One time I was in the restaurant when the power went out during a thunderstorm, and the staff remained calm & professional throughout the entire ordeal. MY ONLY GRIPE rests with the GAME ROOM. This is the glaring feature that is sincerely lacking. First of all, the change machine is always broken, which is pretty damn inconvenient, and NO, you cant get change from the cashier. One of their arcade racing games (Crusin Exotica) has a loose steering wheel making it difficult to control the vehicle onscreen, and the other racing game (I forget the name) is stuck in demo mode where the steering wheel steers from left to right all by itself, and when you try to actually play the game, IT STAYS IN DEMO MODE, so in order to drive straight you actually have to fight the steering wheel from turning. One of the arcade guns on the shooter game apparently doesnt work according to my friend. Now I dont know whether they actually own those machines, or whether they contract that out to a company, but regardless, some of their arcade machines are BADLY in need of maintenance. Overall, its a fairly decent CiCis. On days when Im not working, my friends & I do occasionally make the 45 minute drive from Denbigh to eat here because we love CiCis so much, and its the only CiCis left on the Virginia Peninsula (Newport News location closed down years ago & Hampton location got shut down by the health department in 2012). If youre a huge fan of CiCis like I am, then you wont be disappointed.

Ive been to a few Cicis in the DC/MD area, and they all have a large selection of pizzas. The food was fresh, although it was clearly buffet style by the visual quality. Some of the pizzas had toppings and cheese pushed to the side, slices thrown on top of other slices, and there was only about 6 varieties of pizza. This location that I visited while on vacation is DEFINITELY CLEAN AND CONVENIENT. Let me say that again... This location is clean, and convenient! The staff was friendly (or at least the only girl who was working the register was nice and someone who looked like a manager was cracking jokes and laughing with other staff in the kitchen). If youre in Williamsburg, love pizza, and dont want to go too far... I suggest and recommend. Cons: the pricing seemed a little steep. At home in DC, Ive paid for my wife, two children, and I, and our bill is never as much as it was here (almost $15 more than weve usually paid), the selection of food was lackluster, and the visual quality was low Pros: its pizza and everyone loves pizza, cheaper than the average restaurant, all u can eat, clean, enough seating, definitely cheaper than what I paid at the parks (over $100 for cups, entree, side, and a dessert at Busch Gardens... Do the math)

Tonight our family of four (all ages 16+) had a poor experience at this location. The restaurant was clearly understaffed; there were two cooks, one cashier, and one busser to be seen amidst a very busy restaurant. There was no Coke or Cherry Coke (out of order). There was no sweet tea made, the root beer was out of syrup, and there was no ranch dressing available whatsoever. The cooks were having a very hard time keeping pizza coming, and variety seemed to be very limited. It was also pretty disheveled; the pizza bar was dirty, lined with trays, plates of food that people had eaten off of, and even a napkin that appeared to be filled of mucus or some other unidentifiable substance. Not at all worth the $44+ we paid for our meal. As someone who worked in a restaurant for several years, I could tell that the staff was trying hard to keep things together; unfortunately this appears to have been a leadership issue. Wouldnt recommend this location.
