Food was good but the host (old lady with glasses) was rude. Other than this one person, they were all nice and thoughtful. I went with my service dog and he wasnt wearing his vest (its not required by law). I was trying to explain that his a service dog and if I could sit at outside patio, but soon as she saw my dog and yelled at me "no dog!" I told her my dog was a service dog, and she said "thats not a service dog." I told her that I could show get a paperwork (I didnt have to show her the document but I had experienced this before). She just ignored but finally led me to the table outside. And then she threw the menu on the table, my dog automatically jumped and tried to see if she threw something harmful to me. She yelled again "dog stays under the table!" I told her that I understand the dog stays under the table but he was trying to see what you threw at me. She just walked away. I was so humiliated and upset why I decided to come this restaurant. But other hosts and waitresses came apologized about her attitude. They brought cold water to my dog. When I left the restaurant, the cashier was asking if everything was good. I told her about that, she said they allowed dogs but they had to stay under the table. I didnt see her when I left the restaurant. But Im going to file a complaint of discrimination to Department of Justice.

My family an I went in. Now it was four adults, and we had 2 kids all together 10 and under. The waiter goes we cant split the checks between 6 ppl. Now tell me do you expect kids to pay their bill hell no. So when our waiter split the checks he ripped the receipt out of my hand. He was the absolute worst. He was real jittery like he was on something. Not friendly at all. When you asked for something he basically punched the register. He said my family made his job more difficult. Mind you all he does is bring food. Then when we spoke to the manager he was the same exact way. Basically didnt care, said that we cant split checks between 6 ppl. We were so nice an everything. But they all were not. Except for one girl who brought us a towel cause we spilt some syrup on the table. The food is super good, decent prices. But the people that serve your food are rude. Dont care if your reading anything they just rip stuff out of your hands. If you go, just tread lightly to your waiters an waitresses.

This was conveniently located across the street from my hotel, and even though my hotel had a restaurant, I had heard wonderful things about this particular place so we decided to try it instead. We were immediately greeted by friendly personnel, and seated with a full cup of coffee within less than one minute. The service was friendly, on point, and super fast. The food came out quicker than expected. The portions were huge, I did eat everything on my plate, but I was good until dinner. Even the children size plate had a good amount of food. The waffles were perfect, light and airy with just a touch of sweet, I needed no syrup, the fruit that came on top of my plate was a perfect complement. The prices were on the slightly higher end of the spectrum for diner food, but very reasonable given its location in the resort town right across the street from resort hotels. There is no way youre leaving hungry. Definitely worth a repeat trip.

As you can tell by the pictures, this is breakfast. And how! Im going to level with you... theres no dusting of rosemarry sage in the omlettes. The home fries arent cooked in duck fat. Its not that kind of place. This is hangover food. This is, "I just woke up at my friends house/ hotel/ gutter in Virginia Beach on Sunday morning and Im starving." This is, "my family eats a ton, Im not cooking, and where can I take them?" Its not expensive. The portions are big. The food is hearty. Its not gormett, but it beats the ever loving pants off Dennys. Waffel House isnt even factoring in here. Service was okay. Food is decent. Not the best place ever, but its clean and for the price... you wont leave hungry, and I doubt you will be disapointed.

horrible service. they tried to make me and my friends pay more. when we asked to speak to the manager, the waitress said that he was in the back. 10 minutes later, this man who was in the bar the whole time comes to us and says he was the manager. clearly the waitress lied about him being in the back. when we confronted her about it, she tried to make up some stupid excuses. i ended up not ordering anything because i would not support them being treated like this. very unprofessional also the waiter was old and crusty. it must suck being a highschool dropout and having to work at an outdated diner for the rest of your life well into your 60s *shrugs*

While on our honeymoon the week of July 14th, we decided to have breakfast at Sunnyside Cafe ~ Would Highly recommend to anyone. As soon as we entered the cafe we were greeted at the door the staff was very friendly and our waitress was outstanding in service and personality and that means allot to me. We had the Mexican Omelet & the Spanish Omelet, out of this world since we dont have this back home. The fluffy pancakes are to die for, sure better than any IHop or Dennys that we eat back home. Dont second guess eating here, it is worth your trip. Hours I think were from 7am till 2pm. This to us was a 5 star meal.

$16/person with 10% coupon for breakfast it had better be outstanding. The first problem we had was upon arrival. They opened 10 minutes late while we were waiting outside. Waitresses walking around with coffee pot ignored every table but their own. This is sort of unusual for a breakfast joint. My coffee cup was cold/dry before our waitress came back. Food was dry. Eggs were undercooked for one plate and overcooked for benedict breakfast. Almost like they swapped plates. Finally, I wanted coffee to go. There was a charge...

I have lived in 8 states and traveled to most of the rest of them. When I have the chance I try new Breakfast joints and get one of two go to favorites either country fried steak and eggs or corned beef hash and eggs. Today I got the latter and it was almost the best I have ever had. The service was crazy fast for NOT FAST FOODI wont bore you with my background but trust me when I say this place was fantastic!

One of my favorite breakfast spots. I always get the Sunnyside Benedict. They have the best feta cheese Ive ever had.....idk if they smuggle it in or make it fresh but its unreal good. They have a huge selection, its a tourist spot for sure, but that doesnt mean it isnt quality. I frequent it during the off and the on season, theres never a wait when I go and I enjoy sitting on their patio in the summer months.
