We were at the beach and wanted to get a quick bite before we go on our way. The place was busy and we didnt feel like walking down the strip anymore so we stopped in, what a mistake let me tell you. The waitress was absolutely horrible. No service whatsoever...we had to ask for drinks to be refilled after initially having to wait more than 5 minutes to be even served. We ordered one of their California style (whatever that means) pizzas and oh my was it bad...the crust was way overbaked and the topping seemed to be of poor quality. It was absolutely horrible. Poor service, poor food, bad atmosphere...kinda felt like food at an amusement park gone wrong...not even mentioning the horrendous prices. Will never be back !

We went to this dough boys location tonight and we are very disappointed. The hostess sat us and we waited 15 minutes for a waitress. We were on the patio outside on a dead end and the waitress kept serving the table next to us. Finally I got her attention and asked if she knew who our waitress was. She replied, "I dont know. They keep seating people and not telling us." I asked if she could find out who our waitress is and she rolled her eyes and walked away. After her rude response, we decided we no longer wanted to eat at this restaurant if this is the attitude they treat their customers with. We then biked down to 17th street Dough Boys and were very satisfied with the service and our food.

First off when we walked in the place was FREEZING! Second of all when we sat down we had to split up a party of 5 into 2 tables. We asked for a cup of coffee fresh brewed, the server didnt even know how to even brew a pot of coffee. I didnt get coffee I got water with a splash of coffee flavor! The food is OVERPRICED yes its on the boardwalk of VA Beach but to pay 14.00 for a pizza and then 2.00 per topping is crazy! The dough isnt fresh and the kids meal was crap! My child was still hungry! The server also put his tip on the bill for us of 20%! We were a party of 5! The menu stated parties of 6 or more will have gratuity added! I guess the server could not count!

Its kind of spendy, but the dough was great. The dough was crispy on the bottom of the slices. The sauce was tasty and the cheese was premium. The topping were good too. Theyre inflexible on half pizza with different sauces. Maybe just the location. I sat right next to a sign that said "locally crafted draft beer" and there was one beer on draft and they served it in a plastic glass. I give them 5 for the pizza, but the slow time to make the pizza, inflexible half pizza choice, a norm everywhere, and the one beer, which was good, but plastic glass and only one selection with a sign promoting the one, makes them lose a star.

From the moment we entered the door, the hostell made us feel welcome. Even though the restaurant was full to the maximum, the hostess offered to get us drinks to help out our server. Once our server, Michael, got to us which was only a few minutes after our drinks arrived, he was so gracious and attentive. One of our children has a mild allergy and he was certain that the foods we chose for him from the menu would be safe. It was wonder to see how the entire staff worked to make sure the restaurants service was a success. W will definitely come back to Dough Boy. Thanks for being such a grea server, Michael!

To start off the service was spectacular! Our waitress Sara was extremely attentive and always came to the table with a smile ! I had the large chef salad which was delicious! The shredded chicken was different but very tasty and I enjoyed that there was enough for every bite! My boyfriend had the cowboy stack burger . Which he loved. It was cooked just to his liking and the mixture of the bacon, onion rings and cheese was incredible. The place is very clean and the mural on the back wall is very neat and appealing to the eye. Whoever is running this place keep up the good work! We will be back again !

Let me start off by saying our waitress Briana. Bri was a real joy and a wonderful face for your establishment. NO JOKE on that. She was fun and entertaining. Now for a comment on your portion sizes. Wow. Thats what I have to say about that. Definitely worth the price and then some. The music! Yes! Thanks for taking me back to the 90s when it was real. It was awesome and I appreciate the nostalgia. I have finally found our kick ass pizza and chill place to fill my gut. Thanks for being here !

This place is a waste of money.I spent almost $70 here and still left here hungry. The pizza family deal $30 which they claimed was a large 4 topping, that pizza came out to the table looking like a small and a taste similar to CiCis pizza.Wings were $10 for 8 and they were smaller than your pinky finger.The tea tasted nasty,and the fixings for the chicken parmesan sandwhich were dried up.The little place already small and it was crowded, dont know why tho.I will neverrrrrr!eat here again

We come from an area of many and wonderful pizzarias and wing places, so we can be hard to please but we were so surprised. The crust is different from ours, but we loved the crispiness and a very good dough flovor as a hint of olive oil? the cheese was the best past for me a ricj and full flavor. My husband said "Im sorry were not staying another day, just so we could come back." Our watres, Chelsea B, was attentive and enthusiastic. Good Job Chelsea.

My overall visit was ok but one thing didnt sit well with me the guy alex or something like that was very unprofessional and made a mockery of the establishments he disciplined a member of the waiting staff in front of us customers theres a time and place for that like the back area or in a office or something i felt like it ruined the atmosphere shame on you Alex good pizza tho ill stick to the doughboys near 17th street this visit was in late July btw

Ordered the wings and beer - Wings werent sauced enough to deliver that flavor and the celery sticks were stiff. Also had the Vienna lager on draft, which is a malty beer, delivered with no head in plastic style pint. Better off ordering bottles. For me would be a 2.5 but will give it a 3 star rating because, perhaps, maybe the pizza is out of this world as other reviewers suggest. Staff was courteous and professional - Kudos there!

Wife and I shared the Mediterranean pizza with pepperoni. Didnt necessarily have the highest expectations, so cant say we were entirely disappointed. Crust was decent, but the cheese was subpar, and toppings were flavorless, indicative of low-quality, frozen ingredients. All in all, it wasnt gross, but Im not planning on eating their food again. Interior was typical, and the employees were nice enough.

My husband and I walked into Dough Boys Restaurant for a snack. The waitress was pleasant and prompt. The dining atmosphere is good with a clean area and classic music. But best of all was the cheese fries! Perfectly seasoned and cheesy good! I think the cheese fries are the best fries in Virginia Beach. I think that the cheese fries at Dough Boys are possibly the best fries I have ever eaten!
