Went to AJ Gators on a Saturday night to meet up with some friends. We sat out on the patio. There was a live band playing who sounded pretty good. There was a class reunion going on too so it was pretty packed. We were still able to find seats in the corner which was more than fine with us. The service was slow which was to be expected. I ordered a fuzzy naval (hardly no alcohol) and my boyfriend ordered a beer which came fairly quickly. We also ordered potato skins for the app which we specifically asked to please bring BEFORE our entrees! I ordered the french dip sliders off the app menu for my meal and my boyfriend ordered the BBQ platter with potato salad and onion rings and two waters. We waited and waited at least 40 minutes. We were talking and having fun so the time passed by fast but at one point I looked at my watch and thought "wheres our food!?" Our plates come out. No silverware, no napkins, no water, no ketchup NEVER GOT OUR POTATO SKINS!!! REALLY!? My food was stone cold and bland. His BBQ was like something that came out of a container from Food Lion. Nothing special at all. We didnt complain. We didnt really expect much from a sports bar with a very limited menu. Our server was excellent! Very nice and apologetic. I didnt blame her because she was busting her butt the best she could. Poor thing was slammed! I just had her take the app off the bill and she was still tipped very well. Now the kicker: we were there for 2 hours. In that time we saw three HUGE water bugs and I had a small roach crawl on my shoulder. Im cold natured so I had a sweater hanging on my chair. The roach crawled up my sweater and onto my left shoulder. I guess I dont need to explain how grossed out and pissed I was. The fact that my friends had to keep killing roaches where we were sitting is both unacceptable and disgusting!!! Time to call pest control!!

This place is close to where we live so we really tried to make it our regular hangout. Food is just OK, they always seem to drop the best things off the menu for some reason. Most of the staff is a little cold an impersonal, polite but not friendly or welcoming. It is nice to hang at the small outside bar or on the patio in the summer and we try to go on the rare occasions when they have live music outside. It would be great if they would re-configure the dining area a little so they could have bands on the weekends. Dont bother with the "Gators Card", its worthless...I have like a million points and never get anything free/discounted. We were really excited about a new neighborhood hangout when it opened but after a promising start its been a disappointment and we usually go to other, more friendly ("Cheers"-like) bars in the immediate vicinity.

We have been to this location several times and the service is ALWAYS terrible but after tonight it is on our "no go" list. The bartender told us to have a seat anywhere so we let her know we were taking a table on the patio. The table was filthy but I saw a waitress going around and wiping off tables..she completely ignored our table. Several waitress brought food to other tables, but no one even bothered to acknowledge us. We waited for about 15 min and when two women came out and sat at another table near us and were immediately greeted by a waitress, we left.

Food was quick and OK potato salad was awful wings werent hot good flavors tho they did give us their home made potato chips which were great the major issue I had is our server made us feel rushed as if they were about to close or wanting us out that is the main reason for the 2 stars over all not a bad place but could be a Lil bit more efficient with food and customers

Food was good, came out quick. Had an opportunity to speak with the manager. Courteous to the employees and customers - two thumbs up for that! Always enjoy eating out and when you can find a place that has decent food, service, and atmosphere, it is rare - this AJs does it for me!
