Let me start off by saying how much it pains me to write this review because BonChon is seriously my favorite chicken place and one of my favorite restaurants in general. That being said, Ive had only one experience at this location and it was horrible. My girlfriend and I used to eat at the Fairfax and Centreville locations at least once a week and the quality and service at those locations were so far above this one youd think this one was some Chinese knock-off. First off, I called 2 and a half hours ahead of time to have a 3 part order (large combo, small wings, seasoned fries) ready for pickup at 5:00 for a small party we had. I showed up at 5 past, and waited an additional 15-20 minutes for our food. What was the point of calling ahead? After getting our food and returning home, we realize theyve neglected to give us our small order of wings. I call back to tell them, initially wanting to just ask for a refund for the wings, and Im told they cant do a refund. "Can you come back and pick them up?" I told them no, because I was hosting a party and had guests. I asked if they could deliver them (a service they offer) and they said ok. An hour and 15 minutes pass, and I call back to ask if the order has been sent yet. "Oh yeah, I remember that," was the response I received. "Uh, Ill see if I can call the credit card company for a refund." Right. Anyway, I have yet to see a credit on my card and if I dont by tomorrow Ill be calling them back. I will gladly update if they rectify the situation, but until then I cannot recommend this location. Stick to Centreville or Fairfax.

From all the Bonchons we tasted this one was the least tasty. We ordered Bulgogi Bibimbap, Combo of wings + Pickled Radish and Coleslaw sides. The food appeared too soon (5 mins or so from the ordering) to be cooked freshly and properly. Wings require double cooking (which normally takes about 15 to 20 mins) and the dryness of the meat made us think they were just microwaved from previous day cooking. Bibimbap though brought out hut even after waiting for us to finish the wings didnt have that golden crust on the bottom of the rice which is a big NO-NO for this dish, because the whole point of the hut stone bowl cooking is developing this feature in the dish. The radish was fine and the Coleslaw had the same taste that most of american food chains offer (which is not the case in other Bonchon locations we tried). The service was polite and efficient, and the place was quite clean. It wasnt awful but far from the standard we expected from many meals in this wonderful Korean chain.

Would love to give this place 5 stars, but as some others have noted, the service can be less than stellar (no pun intended). I think they mean well, they just havent managed to put together the staffing team they need. Having said that, I think the food is awesome. Ive loved everything Ive had there. Im particularly addicted to the Bulgogi Sliders. Also, the Salmon Avocado Ball is tasty, although super rich. Ive resolved my dilemma about dealing with the service by just calling orders in for pickup & eating at home... something Im going to do momentarily, in fact. mmmmmm.....Sliders...

The chicken is great but this restaurant is not. They charge more than other locations and the service is sub-par. Walked in for a carry out order and they said it will take 20 mins. Went grocery shopping and came back 25-30mins later and they were still not ready. They asked what we ordered and then said it will be 2 more minutes... And kept saying over and over until about 10mins later they finally had it ready. Also they only had one table of customers during this whole time... Not sure what was holding them up

This location just opened a few short months ago and theres a lot of staffing issues. Theyre still in the process (it seems) of trying to get the right staff in place, waiters dont know the menu, options or much about whats being offered accept their fried chicken; so consider that when selecting this restaurant. Parking is VERY limited as theres a gym and another popular restaurant in the same complex. All that aside, the location is clean and the food is what youd expect from this chain.

The food is good but I agree with the other reviewers who had difficulty with the customer service. In particular, they said our carry-out order would be ready in 35 min. So I showed up after 40 min, just to be safe. I ended up having to wait another 25 minutes once there. It was clear that they hadnt even started the order until I arrived. Too bad because like I said, the food is good. Wish they had at least offered a coupon to try to make up for the extra wait time.

Just like the one in leesburg the food is good but the Service is not, I ordered a takeout of wings with rice and when I checked back home, surprise! No rice, I called right back and all they said is that they wont charge me for rice next time...there is no charge for rice!

BonChon is the best fried chicken Ive ever had. Seriously this place is awesome and if you havent tried it you should, get the soy-garlic strips! The spicy is good too but really spicy.
