[To the person from Texas] For Central Virginia, this is pretty good in a Sea of very bad food in the area. If they truly made authentic SoCal or Tex-Mex style Mexican food (Abuelita (grandma) cooking at a little stove in the back) unfortunately the local customers in Virginia would not eat it. You see, in this part of Virginia, they think TacoBell IS Mexican food. The service is great and you do get that wonderful family run feeling we are used to in the Southwest. They also have low-priced lunch specials twice a week and very loyal customers. P.S. if you are looking for "authentic", dont eat the "Asian Food" anywhere until you get to DC lol !!

Disappointing. We went a while ago and it was really bad. Service was slow, the salsa was too spicy (and we didnt have water), never got our queso, normal food EXACTLY like every other Mexican place. You can get the same stuff for a lot less (and better service) at Mi Casa. We tried it again, and same story. We were waiting forever to get refills and had to ask, salsa is a bit spicy (I dont mind, but I can see how a lot of people wouldnt like it), slow, somehow made a bland chimichanga, I give up.

As a traveler and diner, this was a satisfying experience. Not fancy, not complicated, nothing but straightforward Mexican fare with a good selection of adult beverage choices and very tasty entrées. We did not order starters or desserts. Staff was warm and welcoming, not saccharine-sweet but genuine. Ambiance is low-key and down to earth, the other guests seemed to be having a good experience, too. We will definitely be back.

Solid Mexican food served with a smile. Our party of five enjoyed our reasonably priced lunch entrees. We chose the place because of the 4.8 stars. Not sure it deserves that high a rating but the place is clean, decent and welcoming.

Fresh, delicious food every time, served by friendly and helpful staff, owner usually is there. Our favorite restaurant by far, we drive an hour to go and would drive even farther to get his ceviche dish, "Botana" Mmmmmm!!!
