Once again, we have been disappointed by the management of this Red Bowl. At one point, we had stopped going there because we had gone on Mothers Day a few years back and management decided to capitalize on the "holiday" by having an outrageously priced menu to order from. We left, vowing to never patronize Red Bowl again. Well, a couple of years passed by and we decided to try it again. For the last year, we have eaten there at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. Until yesterday, when we decided to stop in and have lunch. We placed our order and then the waitress disappeared for approximately 10 minutes. When she came back to the table, she informed us that the owner said we could only order off from the dinner menu, even though it was a Wednesday at 12:30 in the afternoon. Apparently, once again, the owner/manager decided to jack up the prices of the meals in order to capitalize on the fact that it was New Years Day. So they lost our patronage for good this time. They were making a ton more money on our eating there once to twice a week than they would have made off from this one meal. Interestingly enough, the manager happened to be conspicuously absent during both of these incidents. I guess he didnt want to hear from his unhappy customers. Poor business practice on their part. Theres a saying out there, an unhappy customer will tell 10-15 people about their bad experience. I will definitely discourage anyone who asks me from eating there.

Abusive. They continually skimp on the meat while overcharging for the meal. They double stick you on quantity and price. My wife and I are done trying. Times are rough for businesses but price gouging while cheaping out on the portions is all about greed. My wife ordered the bourbon chicken and I ordered the Orange beef to go. By the time we got home and started digging in it was like a treasure hunt for her to find any chicken and the beef wasnt chunks but rather razor thin strips that were double breaded to the point it took two, even three bites before I saw meat. If you order pork fried rice at an additional charge they charge 2 bucks extra for the pork. Thats more than the rice alone and they hardly put that much pork in it. Its like the boiling frog theory with a lot of restaurants nowadays. First they reduce the portion, then they increase the price, then they reduce the portion some more...and it just keeps on going. I rather limit my dining options than become used to businesses taking advantage of trying times.

First smaller restaurant that could figure out the GoPlaySave (formerly CitiPass) e-coupon on my smart phone. Went at lunchtime. Very functional asian fusion. Much better than standard cheap chinese in the strip malls or food courts, worse than pei wei or pretty much any other sit down asian food place. We had the mumbler for our waiter. My friend who joined me couldnt understand a word he said. I had to translate, but he got our orders dead on, and was quietly efficient at refilling drinks. You dont get a lot of food, but the food tastes good. The spring roll was cold and tasteless, but the rest of the meal was pleasantly hot, full of flavor, and enough. I was on my way to a 3 star review, and then I tried to use a GoPlaySave e-coupon on my smart phone. Red Bowl is the first restaurant that took the phone, understood how to use the coupon, handled it all for us without any questions, comments, or confusion. They need a 4th star just for that.

This is my first time reviewing a restaurant, but I had to do it after reading the reviews about red bowl. My daughter and I are visiting from out of town and came to this site to find a good chinese restaurant close by. After reading the reviews - even though they were mostly positive - the negative ones left us a little leery. But being adventurous and in the mood for some Chinese food, we decided we would try red bowl. We are soooo glad that we did. The restaurant was nice and beatiful; nice atmosphere (you can actually have a conversation); friendly and great people, and service, and that the food was absolutely delicious! If we lived here, we would definitely go back - again and again. The Royal Dish was yummy.( just the right amount.) Have the banana spring roll for dessert - the perfect ending for a great meal. Highly recommend.

Ill be honest, Their food is great but sometimes its different the way they cook. I think it depends on the chefs the way they cook the food. But over all its not bad at all. The best food near in triangle mall. About the sushi, They have BoGo (Buy one Get one) so base on my experience, It is fine their Sushi is not comparable to the Japanese Sushi Restaurant. But the good thing is their Sushi Chef is entertaining especially every Monday. The small guy is fun! They entertain us very well, Nice sushi chef and the way he handle is so great! I love it! Not good sushi but they have a nice sushi chef! So i will recommend you guys come every Monday if you wanna enjoy your Sushi Experience in a Chinese restaurant! Im sure i will be back here every Monday!

I always visit Red Bowl when I visit my daughter, who lives in the area. I found this establishment to be phenomenal. I have sat in various areas and the service is always GREAT! The food is superb, the service is fast and the manager, Han is very personable; he often greets his patrons. I have observed him inspecting the food presentation before being placed on the tables. When we sit at the bar area, Sevi makes sure we are accommodated. His professional, yet kind persona guarantees an enjoyable dining experience. I recommend visiting Red Bowl if you want a comfortable, soothing ambience; great priced food and drink selections that tantalize the taste buds, and a manager/employees who genuinely care about your dinning satisfaction.

I really want to like this place but. .. We have been here 3 times. I like most of the appetizers but the entrees are inedible. I ordered chicken stir-fry and the sauce was wrong and the chicken was overcooked and tougher than shoe leather. Told the waitress and I didnt eat it and still got charged for it. The next time I tried beef. I figured that I could order it cooked the way I want it. I ordered it medium rare and got well done shoe leather. Very poor cut of meat for steak. Also had the Mongolian beef which was inedible. It is now off our list. Too bad. Nice decor and atmosphere. Having had a restaurant of my own, it is a shame that this place will soon be out of business if it keep going the way it is.

Party of 4, ordered 2 plates of coconut shrimp. Each of us tried a shrimp. None of us liked them. Asked the waiter to take them back. The waiter told us they would have to charge us for one order because 4 pieces of shrimp out of 8 total were consumed. The truth is, I didnt actually eat the shrimp, i had to go to the bathroom to spit it out into the trashbin. Two more of us only took small bites out of the shrimps. We were still charged for an entire order of shrimp. Not a good way to do business. Overall, the waiter was friendly and professional. The management is poor. Some of the sushi was ok, some was sub-par. The coconut shrimp was yuck. I would not go back. Poor communication, poor management.
