Took my sister-in-law and her kids as well as two of mine to find out for myself if gelato exists in RVA...and I have to say: YUM! We were able to try a few flavors before making our selections and I will say that just made my decision harder. Delicate flavor with just the right amount of sweetness and the perfect hint of pink color, the rose gelato was my favorite that day. Lemon and mint pistachio were two other popular ones. Definitely worth the visit!

I am very disappointed because the prices are very deceiving. My friends and I went here thinking it was still $1 scoops, got there found out differently, we thought no problem, the prices are still reasonable. Wrong!! The prices they charge are per scoop and the menu does not reflect that, nor did the staff inform us. Ended up paying about $7 for 2 medium scoops. The gelato was good, but way too expensive! We are under paid college students geeze!

This is now my favorite cafe in RVA! You cant beat the prices, the atmosphere, the location, and the amazing food! The gelato flavors are wonderfully unique, and the grilled cheese and tomato soup are INCREDIBLE! If you have a chance, you have to be sure to meet Barbara and the entire team! They will make you feel at home, and welcomed, in an instant. I cant wait to go back!

The gelato is excellent with a bunch of odd, but amazing flavors constantly being created and added to the case. They will let you try them all too! The coffee is good and the food is good as well, though the food can take a while (cause its made fresh). The atmosphere is cute and homey, and very welcoming. I adore this place and hope it remains a Richmond fixture!

Delightful and comfy neighborhood spot! I wish we had taken a photo of my rosemary brown butter with caramel gelato and my boyfriends chocolate hazelnut before we ate them up. The service was friendly, Id like to see how the day crowd is compared to the Sunday night we went. Well be coming back again to try more flavors!

Warm and old-fashioned Gelato parlor/cafe. Ive had Gelato in Venice and this is every bit as good, plus the owner is a ray of sunshine. Go visit and try the Gelato; youll be hooked. Go visit and hear the story; youll be telling your grandkids about the little corner shop in Richmond that still has a piece of your heart.

Its a great place for some ice cream on a hot sunny day. It doesnt have that modern touch but it sure does have a classic theme. My girlfriend and I went there for ice cream and it was so delicious that she tried another one. I had a latte and it was great! I would recommend this place for any occasion.

Wow. Words cant describe how proud I am of the owner Barbara and the work she puts in here. Shes up and opening shop before daybreak and stays up til 10 to close shop. Oh, and did I say shes 80? The gelato is incredible and the vibe is wonderfully charming. 10/10 would go here with everyone.

Just discovered Spotlight with my wife while doing a small food tour around Richmond, our home town. The gelato here was outsanding - very creamy with lots of flavor. And, the owners were wonderful and inviting. This is our new favorite place and I could not recommend it more.

Its a bit pricey but I loved their Irish cream with chocolate bourbon sauce gelato. They also had a delicious hazelnut flavor I adore. Very stylish place. It has cute Christmas decor at this time of year, particularly the colorful lights on the outside.

This was such a sweet spot, NO PUN INTENDED, for a refreshing cup of gelato. Dont forget to ask to speak to the owner, and make sure to take a seat and sit a spell because her stories are worth the time; and the gelato is tasty as well!
