Grape Vine is a wonderful restaurant, with a friendly staff of servers and absolutely amazing food. If you are looking for delicious quality Greek/ Italian food look no further. This cozy little restaurant has a nice little bar if your looking for a cocktail, a beer, or even wine/sangria, plenty of comfortable tables for different party sizes, and even banquet rooms if you want to reserve a classy place for a large party or reception. They even have a projector of beautiful countryside montages at the front desk and feature classic jazz tunes from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and the like over speakers throughout the restaurant. I have tried several dishes from here and they are all A+ in my book including the Chicken Parmesan, the Veal Cannelloni, and one of my all time favorites the Chicken and broccoli fettuccine alfredo, not to mention the gourmet desert items! The general manager Mitch Trak cares immensely about all of his restaurants patrons, as hes often right out front near the hostess or bar to greet his guests. There are very few establishments anymore where a GM makes an appearance to customers, usually hiding in an office somewhere, so this is something special I happened to notice. If you havent eaten here yet, you are doing yourself a disservice as the Grape Vine restaurant rivals any Greek/ Italian fine dining in the area.

Our experience at Grapevine was great. As soon as we walked in the door, we were genuinely greeted by the host. Our server, Brittany, was very attentive and pleasant. The manager, John really made us feel welcome. In addition to the good customer service and the relaxed elegant atmosphere, (accented with the lights along the drapes) the food was wonderful! The portions were reasonable and left my wife and I satisfied. We didn’t have to wait long for our food nor did we have to flag down our server, because she always made herself available. My wife had stuffed shells. It has been nearly 20 years since I had a Gyro, and the Gyro “Yi Ro” Platter I ordered brought back to memory my first time eating lamb in India. It was a-w-e-s-o-m-e!! My only regret was not being able to finish it all because I was stuffed! Highly recommend this restaurant. We plan to go back soon.

The Grapevine is one of the warmest and welcoming restaurants that I have ever dined in. They are very hospitable, the minute you walk in they open the door for you. Then the host had us seated in the perfect spot. The whole staff was checking on us and our drinks were never empty. Dont even get me started on the food, we started with a Greek salad that was so fresh and that came with this amazing vinaigrette house dressing. I ordered Chef Michael’s Favorite it was so delicious I had to order a to-go one for my boyfriend. Then lastly I ordered a Tiramisu because it was mouthwatering after I saw it when I walked in. Our server was so nice and was on time with taking our orders and took good care of us. Also the managers John and Mitchel came by and checked on us. I will be back very soon!

Diners whove gone once "daydream" about the authentic carefully prepared fare at this moderate west end Greek/ Mediterranean restaurant where the flavorful small and large plates are so inventive, theyre unlike any other; a beautiful, clean space featuring candle lit dinners and a private banquet room to accommodate parties large and small. Furthermore delightful well trained staffers further ensure it earns "must-try" status. Ive personally been coming to this restaurant for seven years and the best part is knowing that each time I go the experience will be the same as last time and I wouldnt have it any other way!

Both my husband and I eat frequently at The Grapevine Restaurant (in fact, we were their very first customers when they first opened, and we regard them as our second kitchen). Their staff are always excellent, and there isnt anything they will not do to make our dining experience the best it can be. They also have some signature items on their menu that are worth recommending, the most popular being Mother Marys pasta dish. Their homemade rolls (made daily) are mouth watering. The Grapevine is a family owned operation, and a rarity in todays world. I heartily recommend them.

What a gem! Was visiting the area and in Short Pump with the vast majority of "big box" restaurants to choose from, most with mediocre food and loud dining rooms. Asked my wife to find a local restaurant, independent owner type, and we thankfully found The Grapevine. We were greeted as welcome guests, shown to a very nice table in a nicely appointed dining room. I could tell this is where the locals come. Restful, quiet, and most importantly, excellent food! The chicken parm was excellent with enough to share. Try it, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome!! DELICIOUS Greek & Italian food, delicious thin crust pizzas, homemade daily rolls served with this yummy dipping spice, and the staff and management is really something to rave about. You dont get that attention to detail from management in any corporate setting. Very clean and elegant, with 2 gorgeous banquet rooms and a small (but very nice) full bar. Ive also seen their food truck out at local events in the RVA area serving up Gyros and Falafel, as well as american classics like a Philly steak & Cheese, how cool! A must try!

This place was recommended by the father of one of the waitresses. It has great ambience, great food, a great wine list, great desserts and a great friendly staff. I highly recommend this place if you like Greek food or Italian food, they do both there. The only negative is that its some what a little pricey with entree, appetizer, wine and dessert. And thats for two people. My wife and I made our dinner early Valentines dinner. So overall a great experience, but I wont make it a habit all the time.

wonderful friendly staff--everyone greets you--management comes by a few times to check on you--waiter was awesome--and all staff is very attentive--food was amazing--prices a little high, but you get a big portion so Im ok with that. I had the Mediterranean sample platter for my dinner (dolmades, hummus/pita, huge chunks of feta cheese and olives and more) since Im vegetarian and had a little bit of everything--my mom had the eggplant parmesan , and it was cooked so soft and delish. Definitely recommend.

I went for the first time to this restaurant over the weekend and truly enjoyed the whole experience. From the cozy atmosphere, to the nice and attentive staff, to the delicious food! My boyfriend and I ordered the combo platter as the appetizer, and the Chef special spaghetti and the Veal Picatta as entrees. It was very tasty and the portions are big. We ended up bringing lots of leftovers back home, and couldnt resist ordering some baklava and tiramisu for dessert. Were definitely going back!

We went to Grapevine this past Sunday, 10/9. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was quiet and the service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive, prompt, polite and helpful. We were passing through to our destination and only staying the one night. We picked this restaurant at random based on the reviews, and we are so glad we did. Definitely worth the 5 stars were giving. If we are back through this way well stop again.
