I love the creme brulee cheesecake. I LOVE the bloody mary bar. Everything else about this place sucks. I used to be a waitress, so I understand that mistakes are made, but I have a tolerance for mistakes and Bellytimber surpassed it. On two occasions while seated at a virtually empty bar (with perhaps 2-3 others seated at the bar) I have had to wait extraordinarily long for my food. During neither occasion was the restaurant packed, busy, or even halfway occupied. The second time, it was admitted that our order slip had been dropped and an egg w/ bacon and a side salad took 1 hour and 7 minutes for them to send out. They comped me a 2nd Bloody Mary. Nice recoup. Except... because I had moved from the bar with my friend to a table with other friends, they needed to close out the tab. They swiped my card, I never signed. The understanding was that they would void it at the end of our meal and charge my friend and I separately. Which they did. But they also left the initial charge (his order + mine) on my card, despite that they handed me a refund receipt. Im not even sure how that happened. I am in the process of working that overcharge out with my bank and the restaurant, but needless to say: dont go here if you value prompt and professional service. The cheesecake aint worth it, and the rest of the food items are overpriced (except for the A La Carte stuff.)

good vegetarian/vegan options. great atmosphere and moderately friendly staff. ... tends to be a long wait for food, even when the restaurant is empty. the price was perfect, until we saw the portions. they are small (even for me, and i eat like a bird). the small amount of food they give you is, however, very tasty. i suggest the sweet patater tots and small order of perogi. the small order or tots ($4.50) gives you about 10 or so, which are about the size of a hershy kiss. it seems higher grade dining than "bar" dining....Id place it more like cafe style that happens to have a bar....small, decorative portions, lighter fair....not the bar burger/fries/beer/wings type of place at all. overall, i probably wouldnt go back. im glad i tried it though.

Stopped in to have a few drinks with friends. I wound up having to leave immediately after getting my first drink and setting up my tab. The man that took my order had gone to the back for something, so I closed out with another lady behind the bar who had a bad attitude from the start. I got my bill and and the total was much higher than what 1 drink should cost, so I brought this up to her, and it apparently had to require her yelling at me and accusing me of lying. Ive never had any issues at a bar before; but I dont go to places near campus much, so maybe thats a part of it.

Waitstaff was not very friendly; two sandwiches and an omelette didnt make it to our table until 35 minutes after we ordered and we were never once acknowledged by our server or received an apology for the wait. The place wasnt even half full so I cant find an explanation as to why we were treated as if we were an inconvenience to the restaurant. The food is consistently excellent, but the servers need some re-training on customer service. I might order to go, but will never sit down in the restaurant again.

If Im going to pay an extra two dollars for a side salad, I would prefer it not to be just six small leaves on the side of my plate with a big side of dressing. Also, the sandwiches arent what they used to be. The bird n bean is smaller than it was before and the guac tasted AWFUL. I had to scrape it off. Come for the pizza. This place has become more well known as a bar than as a local food joint.

Drinks are good, bartenders are great, but probably some of the most incompetent & careless waitstaff I hve ever experienced. Was charged for more than I ordered drink wise and was then grabbed at the arm by my server in front of my friends to pay a tab that had already been settled. I used to frequent the establishtment but now am never going back.

This used to be one of the better spots around town. Something changed over the past year or so. My last 3 meals were genuinely inedible. They offered refunds or "re-makes" each time(I declined), so they are not stingy. But, they are a far cry from the Bellytimber I used to know and love. Very disappointing to see yall take that nosedive.

Stopped by for an early dinner with my wife and 2 year old, the wait staff was great, atmosphere was welcoming and we loved the decor... They have those old fashioned fans that run on a long belt and the murals are very cool! The food was a few notches above the standard for the area, keep up the good work!

The food quality, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere at Bellyimber has gone down over the last year. It use to be great food. The last three times I have gone have all been bad experiences. I do not recommend eating here. It is a good place to get a beer.

Waited over an hour and a half for delivery. Called restaurant twice. Contacted Eatstreet and was told the restaurant never notified the drivers that my food was ready. Highly dissatisfied and frustrated! Horrible service and complete waste of time

So sad they closed....but so excited. The owners will be opening a new restaurant. Ive heard some scuttlebutt about it....I cant/wont say anything other than it should be awesome. Patrick and Randy rule, and this should be really good!

I love this place! The food is good and fun, the servers are usually pretty great though the food can take a little while (not their fault) - but hey - this isnt freaking Fridays or apple-bees - they have to actually make your food!

I love this restaurant. It is very down to Earth the food is great and it represents Richmond well. The waiters/waitresses were very considerate. I highly recommend this place for a nice lunch when you stroll through the fan!

Amazingly friendly staff and a very clean place to eat. Brunch was delicious with reasonable size portions and good mimosas. This place gets crowded so expect a 15-25 minute wait during peak times, but the wait is worth it.

Gave the bartender a twenty for two $3 beers, told him to keep two dollars for a tip, and didnt realise until later than the bastard gave me $4 in change. Wont see me there ever again, and Ill tell anyone to stay away.

As a guy thats lived in the area for 10 years i will never go to bellytimber again for what they put the whole neighborhood through on saturday with this outdoor bass a thon that went on from 1pm until midnight solid.

Awesome service, great food, good menu, and cool decor! Well be back again even though Richmond is a 30 minute drive. They have a decent beer selection but could stand to get a couple more stouts or dark ales.

Quite good food and a solid beer selection. Also for some reason turns into a really intense club on weekends. Tends to be a little loud even when not in club mode. But always has solid food.
