I should have done this after the first 15 times I visited the restaurant but I wanted to get a few of my friends and colleges to visit with me to make sure I wasnt getting wrapped up in the hype of a new place. In all the times that Ive visited and all the folks that I continue to bring with me, I am proud to say that Bartaco is officially my favorite restaurant! This is echoed by quit a few of my friends. There have been several occasions where the staff has worked with us for lunch time or dinner time meals, quick meeting areas, and evenings out with friends. I have to give a HUGE shout out to Emma Murphy! She always comes by to great my table. You can see the way she interacts with the crowd, customer and staff alike. Shes amazing!!! Even friends that have gone back without me have commented saying how wonderful their return experience was. I must say that I will continue to return with friends until I leave the area or Im told that Ive eaten to many tacos!!! Thank to all the staff and who ever decided to bless Reston and NORVA with a Bartaco!!! -Brian Williams

Went for a quick drink and a couple of tacos. The tacos and the margarita were both delicious with bright flavors and balance. The service however was a little confusing. They have plenty of workers to handle a relatively slow crowd at the time I was there. Good thing! But all those workers seemed to be busy doing things other than serving customers. It seemed like an exercise in inefficiency resulting in 5 people at the bar with 3 bartenders and somehow no ability to actually get service. But they are obsessed with shaking the drink shakers... for.ev.er. The tacos are small but well made, and sat at the service station staring at me while the bartender was busy, you guessed it, shaking a drink shaker. The Margarita was served in a low ball glass which is not a lot of margarita for almost 11 dollars. So, mixed review. They need to revisit their service model and also try giving a little more bang for the buck. But the tasty little tacos are worth another visit and everyone there seems nice and friendly.

Ive eaten at BarTaco numerous times for lunch and dinner and though dinner can get a bit hectic and the wait times might be a bit longer, the food is well worth the wait. Tonight I finally broke down and took my 18, 13 and 12 year old and BarTaco didnt disappoint. They enjoyed my favorites (pork belly and oyster taco with quac and chips and plantains to start) along with a variety of other tacos. They told me it was tough for them to pick a favorite but they understood why this was my "go-to" spot near work. Great food, awesome staff (Mario at the bar and the manager Dominique are always there to greet me with a smile and to ensure each visit is memorable) who are sure to take care of you and a perfect little "beachy" atmosphere right in the middle of suburbia. Theres nothing bad to say unless it was that I hate not having such easy access when Im not at work. (More locations please).

Birthday? Bartaco. Work anniversary? Bartaco. Happy hour? Bartaco. Just want a nicer lunch? Bartaco. This place is my go-to. Its got a nice location and covers your parking cost if you bring your car during paid parking hours. The tacos are super delicious and they have a lot of options. The drinks arent anything too special but theyre definitely not bad. The service is hardcore friendly. I only once wasnt happy with my experience with Chance, because he didnt seem interested in our table and used my taco tokens (I had got them previously) on the 2 cheapest tacos we bought, when we had bought 8 higher priced ones. That was on my birthday too. That said, still 5 stars for always making delicious food and the rest of the staff are always on point!

I would give the food 5 stars. The food came out quick and everything was so delicious. I would have ordered more food, however, the ambiance of the restaurant was horrible. The music was so loud, I felt like I was shouting to talk to my friends and not to mention the seating is so close to everyone, I could literally reach over and touch the tacos to the table next to us. The seating was so close when I tried get to my seat, I knocked over the utensils to the table next to us. ( Im sorry, Im pregnant and require a little more space). If you want to have an actual conversation with someone I would not recommend this place. I would order the food to go and eat it outside because the food is the only thing good there.

You cannot go wrong with their Baha Fish Taco. It. Is. The. Best. The chop salad is also outta this world!! And...they have a great bar with friendly bartenders who treat mixing a cocktail as an art and not a task. Love me some big block cocktail ice cubes too. The facility has a nice atmosphere - eclectic music mix played at a decent volume and interesting decor that instantly makes you feel like youre somewhere other than a restaurant within an outdoor shopping mall in Fairfax County. It will get busy there and rightfully so - I recommend going early (and often!). Cant wait to go back and thankfully parking at RTC is not an issue because I can walk there - BONUS!!

Bartaco is a great restaurant with good service, atmosphere, and unique food offerings. The tacos are great (although small and expensive) and are offered with many different fillings from fish to falafel to cauliflower. The combinations are truly unique and surprisingly tasty. Service is great as well, though this place can get PACKED after work hours and the noise level inside can get very high. I prefer the seating outside. My go to order here is an order of 6 tacos (chicken, fish, and falafel) along with the phenomenal guac/chips and the corn appetizer. If youre looking for a unique twist on tacos, bartaco is the place to go.

Was not expecting great Mexican from a chain in the suburbs of D.C., yet this place was still massively underwhelming. Atmosphere was fine, and the staff was very nice and attentive. First off, ordered a michelada. Something was missing, so a bartender took it, tasted (with a straw), and spent a few minutes fixing it. It was still below average. Ordered guacamole and chips and they bring the chips out in the form of whole tostada shells. Its not the hardest thing to break them up...but why? Just use chips. One of my side dishes was missed on the order so that ended up as dessert. Food was salty and still somehow flavorless.

I really enjoyed BarTaco! It had everything you could want. Good drinks, good food, and not a menu that you have think what is good or not. The focus is on fresh taco with a little Asian hint. The only down side it that the tacos are small especially for the price. I ate 4 with a app and dessert and still was hungry. Dont get me wrong they all were good but the shrimp I was expected fry shrimp but yeah. Its a fun place, fast, and great with friends! Definitely go if you dont mind shelling out $3-$5 a taco. (The duck and pork belly were my favorite!)
