After hearing from one of my friends that this place had excellent sandwiches, I decided to take a visit and see for myself. In short, yes, they do. The food was excellent and I also recommend giving them a try. However, I have to knock off a star for service. When I first entered, I was the only individual in line. There was someone at the register inputting data or what have you. I stood there awkwardly for a minute or 2 before she even acknowledged my existence, which was done by asking a passing employee, "Can you take his order?" There was no "Hello sir, Ill/well be right with you," or anything of the sort. With that being said, the other employees were indeed helpful and kind. It is unfortunate that the first person I encountered on my first visit happened to be uninviting. Again, the food was fantastic, and I cant wait to try other items on their menu.

Had lunch here today (8/12). Ordered, got my chips and drink and waited for my buzzer to buzz. 10 minutes later still nothing. Everyone that had ordered behind me in line already had thier food. Talked to first person at counter and gave them my name and asked where my food was, recieved the following answer, "I dont have your food". Paid, ate and left. No apology, no Im sorry sir we forgot to make your food, just I can ring you up was the only response. The only reason Im giving any stars is because the food is good.

A must for fresh food in Norfolk! This is a local chain that has amazing fresh sandwiches, salads (that are generously portioned), teas, drinks, etc. The peach tea is a MUST try! They also have gelato, sweet treats, etc. The only downside about this place is that its SUPER crowded at lunch, which makes it hard to find parking and takes a little longer to get your lunch. However, you know when there are a lot of people, you found a good place.

Food is good but the wait is rough. Lunch is busy and the wait is usually bit longer than it should be, but thats fine. Today I ordered a sandwich just after 10. Apparently I was behind a catering order. Twenty minutes later I asked and they hadnt started it yet. Ended up telling them no thanks. The staff is really nice, it must be some kind of procedural problem. Its disappointing as the kid and I can walk there.

Nice little eatery with take out. Soups & salads, mostly what one would consider lunch items that can double as light dinners. My curried chicken wrap was excellent, my Brunswick stew, while good, could have done with 50% less salt. Great whole grain bred with flax seeds. A small yet diverse local beer , wine & cheese selection. Google said they close at 7, but door says 8. Ill be back.

Trying to have that farmers market/fresh vibe but the food just does not deliver, especially when it is severely overpriced. The "special" bacon wrapped meatloaf sandwich lacked bacon completely and the meatloaf reminded me more of corn beef from a can. No meatloaf here, just beefy mush scooped on a piece of bread. The best part of a $8.99 sandwich should not be ciabatta bread.

Went in on a Sat afternoon. Nice decor. Sandwich was tasty but a bit pricey. Ordering was confusing - have to go around back to order than come all the way around to pick up. Nice folks waiting cleared up confusion for us. Place wasnt too busy but it still took about 15 mins to get our food. Would eat there again if in the area.

By far one of my favorite deli style eateries. This location boasts an open floor plan with a central located counter offering multiple seating areas while still having plenty of room to display additional merchandise. The menu is sandwich heavy with a plethora of vegetarian options and a more Mediterranean feel.

I stopped in to see what all the hype was about. I ordered a "half Lynnhaven" for $7. What I got was a kids meal sized sandwich that I ate in 3 bites. Literally 3 bites. Ill be going back to WaWa where at least I can say for $7 dollars Im satisfied. What a joke. I wont waste any more money in this place.

Good sandwiches, if a bit pricey. Would recommend going for lunch and then enjoying things like hot cider, gelato, or some of the fancy snack foods they have on display. The parking is a little awkward. The location is a bit out of the way if youre not an ODU student or going to/from the naval base up Hampton

Great sandwiches and nice counter people. It does seem to take more time to get food than you would think right, but the food is worth the wait. Good ambience, too - nice music at the right level. Better sandwiches than other sandwich shops, if a little more pricey.

We went in for lunch, and they handed our meal out to another person with the same name. Upon realizing the mistake, the manager Meghan refired our meals. We got it freshly made again within minutes. Thank you for amazing hospitality and the cookie!!

Tried a few items from the menu and they were all very delicious. We had the white chili soup, prime rib and beach sandwiches, tried some gelato and walked around to see what other goodies they had. Really great choice for a fresh brunch.

Old dependable. Ive never had a bad experience here and the food is usually worth the price you pay. They also carry Boylans soda which is just ++++. A few quirks and hiccups here and there, but overall solid place for grabbing food.

Taste (all of them) serves the best sandwiches in the area. I have a soft spot for this one though. Always seems more homey and welcoming than the other ones. The staff is fantastic, and they really do let you taste like... Anything.

I love taste. I frequent the restaurant often. I have had several of there sandwiches and have not been disappointed. Their soups and stews are also excellent, especially with the right kind of sandwich and beer or glass of wine.

Food is really good. Parking is AWFUL during anytime between 11 and 2, and the wait is ridiculous during this "lunch rush." Also, dont try to order anything even one minute past closing time. Seems like staff couldnt care less.

Just moved to Norfolk and was told to go here. A little too hippie for my taste. Reminded me of Panera in that its overpriced and hipster. My BBQ sandwich was good, my wifes sandwich was ok... I want a fan of the bread.

Food was pretty good. I had the pork belly sandwich. I expected it to be fried pork belly but instead it was shaved meat from the pork belly area. No complaints really other than it was more expensive that anticipated.

Great little place for a sandwich, they serve some good bears and have a good wine section. If its your first time, i suggest you tell them its your first time so they can tell you how things work, very friendly staff
