The cashier was nice. The interior is very nice. We placed our order and sat down. Immediately, we heard the most inappropriate language coming from the open kitchen. We were the only people there at noon, so that should have said something. The language persisted from the cook, who was on the phone the entire time. I went and spoke to the manager and told him we were not going to sit and listen to that language with a 3 yr old in our group. He continued doing what he was doing and never said a word. The cook then started yelling on the phone and the language continued. We got up and headed to the register to get our money back. The owners son followed us to the register, cussing and screaming at my son in law the entire time that if the F word offended us, then we needed to get the F out. As it turns out the manager/owner had his family working there, so both of the employees were his sons. The one who followed us to the register then continued to engage my son in law and myself in a confrontational manner. When we got outside, there was a large party of approximately 20 people who had just arrived to eat there. As we went out the door, the son followed us and started listening to the conversation that the waiting g party had with us about what was going on. As were explaining what happened, the son got into the conversation and started being confrontational with the other party. The food was not cheap by any means, and we went out of our way to travel there to eat. I would not go back on a bet!

My wife & I visited this location yesterday for lunch, we live about 20 miles aways. What a neat facility, very clean and well done place, you order at the register, they give you a number, and bring your food out to your table. Ill say straight away..the burgers were Fantastic, we Loved them. They were cooked to perfection and had great taste. And they have an interesting selection of burgers. My wife had the Hawaiian burger cooked Medium, she Loved it and it looked pretty good to me too. It was a nice burger with ham and a huge pineapple slice. I had the Reg Aspen Bacon Cheese Burger, with lettuce, tomato, onion, & mayo, cooked Med Rare. As a side we had the fresh cook chips, was a good portion size, and they were very tasty too. Now to my complaints; 1) the menu is very hard to read, its sort of small and scattered looking, makes the eyes jump all over the place. Im perfectly ok with ordering up front, but please provide a sign board with the menu on it. Theres actually room for one up behind the cashier. 2) No Mushrooms. Whaat ? Seriously what kind of burger joint doesnt have mushrooms ? I had my heart set on a gourmet mushroom burger, what a major disappointment. The offer sliced Truffles for $9.99, which is more than the burger itself cost. So only two complaints is pretty good. I would absolutely go back, if we were in the area. Overall we were very satisfied with our experience.

Great little gem. The atmosphere is very relaxed with subtle but fun decor. The folks working there are kind and well mannered. The mens restroom was clean. FOOD: as you probably guessed they specialize in burgers....and they are very good. Being in Oklahoma the past few years I have become a burger snob and they meet my high standards. Bacon was thick cut and cooked just right, onions were fresh grilled, and the bun was top notch, brioche, buttered and grilled! Sweet Potato fries are really good and the spicy honey sauce is awesome on them!!! They have a few dessert options, I tried both of the brownies they have and they were awesome...if I had to pick one I would go for the cowgirl...but both are tasty. They have sweet tea, its not quite as sweet as I normally like it but it was pretty good. The owner came out and spoke with us and was really nice. They are kid friendly and have a small kids menu. The kids cheeseburgers are served on sourdough bread which is a different twist. They also have some outdoor tables with large umbrellas. All in all a great experience with great food! I look forward to being back...oh and they may seem a bit far of 64 but its super fast cause there is no traffic. I will visit again. :-)

This restaurant was incredibly delicious and such a welcome change of pace from road trip fast food! Its quite spacious inside, impeccably clean, and the food is fresh, delicious, and homemade. It seriously looks like youve stepped into a cabin in Colorado, which was a nice play on the location. I am actually a vegetarian, and their veggie burger was divine and full of flavor. My partner ordered the Hawaiian burger and my daughter got a grilled cheeseburger. (it was huge!) Their homemade potato chips were hot, fresh, and crispy. The owners and staff were accommodating and incredibly friendly. I was seriously shocked that this tiny VA town had such a perfect stop. Its well worth the couple extra minutes off of 64. The service was also very quick. I wouldve waited longer for quality food like this, but we didnt have to! Bravo to this place!

I live very close (about 5 minutes away) and I will NEVER go back to this place. The wait staff was actually very friendly, thats the only good part. The food is not just EXTREMELY overpriced, but its nasty also. Everything tasted like salt and like it was cooked on a dirty grill. If you are willing to pay $8 for a mediocre burger, then this is the place for you. I also ordered the chili, brussels sprouts, and buffalo cauliflower. I actually ended up throwing all of it in the trash, even after I paid a small fortune for it. Just go to the Asian place down the road, or even the dairy queen is close by. 1 star

Wow what a cool place ….Aspen Burger Company in New Kent is a homerun. From the friendly staff to the quick service and a made to order delicious, juicy, cheeseburger with a bun that didn’t fall apart. Love the place. The sweet potato fries was it good compliment on to the cheeseburger. I also tried the buffalo cauliflower. I never thought cauliflower could taste so good but the light breading and buffalo sauce really made for a tasty side I highly recommend Aspen Burgers for its delicious mouth watering, crafty burgers. Make sure you try out buffalo cauliflower, your taste buds with love love you.

As I got in I thought, "what a nice place" and took 2 pix and posted them... that was before the owner engaged me kinda rude after I finished my food; she and her family runs this place, but they are missing the hospitality; I work in this area and I was in my lunch break she didnt apparently like me hanging around after I was done, even though I wasnt there for more then 45 min... Food is overpriced but Id say pretty good; cashier was nice! (the only reason Im giving 2 stars)

Food is great. Price is reasonable for gourmet burgers, which is what your getting here. Make sure you tell them how you want them grilled... MedWell = no pink. Sweet potatoes fries are the best Ive had anywhere. They also have some really good salads for the vegetarians in your life, Ive tried two so far, and brussel sprouts for an added veggie. Inside is spacious, has two seater tables up to picnic style tables and you can select your own music on the Rokbot system.
