Absolutely Loved Q in Midlothian. I can safely say that its the best BBQ Ive had out of a restaurant (non competition) outside of Kansas City. Nice, big, and clean restaurant with very high quality food all around. Tuffy Stone has a winner! I got the three meat combo with ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. The chicken is a mix of white and dark meat and it is chopped into bite-sized chunks. It had tons of great flavor with a nice smokiness and great savoriness from the rub. The pulled pork was also very enjoyable. It was chopped/pulled into large pieces so it still had nice texture and was cooked to perfect tenderness. The flavor was good but is really improved by adding just a little of the hot sauce (which isnt very hot at all) and a little of the vinegar sauce (it has garlic and chili flakes in it). This combination really served to elevate the flavor profile. The star of the plate was the ribs. They were, in my opinion, perfect. Perfectly tender but not falling off the bone. Really balanced flavor profile of savory/sweet/smokey/tang. They were moist and succulent. For sides, I got the mac and cheese and onion rings. Both of which were excellent. The mac and cheese was especially great with lots of creamy gooey flavorful cheese. My only regret is that we dont live closer! Cant wait to come back! Also, if anyone is wondering, Tuffy is a great guy and we have seen him a couple times on the BBQ Competition circuit as my wife and I are KCBS Certified Judges.

Wish I could give a better review. The restaurant was clean and the service was good, the food....ehhh, Ive had better! I ordered the 3 meat meal and according to their hand written sign, they were also serving sliced brisket and burnt ends. Tried to add those 2 meats only to be told they were out (well then take down the handwritten sign), so I ordered pulled pork, regular brisket and ribs with baked beans and braised greens. I get my meal only to find sliced brisket which was not a problem since I really wanted that to begin with. The brisket and the ribs were probably the best part of the meal. The pulled pork tasted like it had been roasted in the oven then put in the smoker the last 45 mins of its cooking time. The flavor was weak with very little smokiness to it at all. The beans were kinda bland but the braised greens were ok. All of the bbq sauces tasted alike, I really didnt see too much of a difference. The cornbread muffin; Ive had better at a hosptial. I was really hoping for a better flavor, taste and experience.

I first learned about Q when watching season 1 of Barbecue Pitmasters. I had already been to several of the local barbecue joints but was surprised to see one actually competing on television. I took my family to the restaurant for dinner one evening and we were all very impressed. Weve been back several times since that first night. The pulled pork barbecue sandwich and the ribs are my two favorite items. Q has some of the best ribs I have ever tasted. They are always tender, juicy and delicious. There are several trophies and awards prominently displayed that serve as a testament to the quality of the food. The staff is always friendly, prices are reasonable, the place is clean and the food is delicious! One of the things I value most in any restaurant is consistency and Q never disappoints. Each subsequent trip is as satisfying as the first, if not moreso. I have already referred several of my friends and family and would highly recommend anyone with a taste for barbecue give Q a shot.

With the addition of Q Barbeque to the Midlothian VA restaurant scene, gone were the days when you had to go to a dark, dirty, hole in the wall and eat off of paper plates to get good barbeque. Now, at Q Barbeque you can enjoy excellent barbeque in a clean, modern, and fresh setting with excellent choices of beer or wine to complement your meal. There is nothing bad on the menu, or at least we cant find it if there is. The meats are fantastic and the sides are almost too good. As hard as you might try, youre going to eat more than you meant to, and enjoy every bite. It can get a little crowded during the lunch rush, but in the warm seasons there is a nice side patio outside. I have grown accustomed to often grabing a lunch or dinner, and have used their catering service for a number of my events. I also see it as a strong vote for Midlothian neighborhoods that a Nationally renown barbeque cook (as seen on TLCs BBQ Pitmasters) has set up and maintained shop here.

ive never written a review before in my life (honestly! I know everyone just says that....), but I really like the ribs here. Its the only thing I tried, so I cant really comment on the rest of the menu. Its not your typicaly bbq joint. It looks like a chain fast food kind of place, but dont let that deter you. Im a huuuuge fan of ribs and this is probably one of the best ribs I have ever had. Im no expert, but my taste buds and tummy were happy! So, even tho this place doesnt have that same kind of "bbq" character that you expect from more "traditional" bbq places, its legit...and it seems very new and very clean! In this area, Ive also been to Buzz and Neds, and I have to say I like the ribs here much more! I also cant comment on price. I dont really remember. But I dont remember it being unreasonable at all.

I recently worked with Q Barbeque in Midlothian on a rather large catering order for an event with my company (approximately $700 of BBQ, sides, etc.). Zekia (regrettably, I may have misspelled her name) was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was patient, understanding and kind enough to help me make multiple trips to and from my car to ensure everything in our order was correct and packaged to where it would arrive safely to my destination in its original container and not all over my vehicle’s interior. She also asked great questions to ensure we had everything we would need to make the event a true success. I would highly recommend this location (great food and exemplary service). Go Q Barbeque Midlothian!

My daughter and I took my Mom to Qs bbq for her first visit today. Weve eaten at Qs several times in the past. Our food... always delicious! In fact, we all agree that the ribs are some of the best...they are meaty with great smokey flavor and tender. The collard greens are delicious also, slightly heavy on the vinegar but still great fresh flavors. The Customer Service at this location always exceeds my expectations. We met one of the Managers Shawn, he is Knowledgeable and courteous with his additional food recommendations. We look forward to our next visit as a family and perhaps even utilizing Qs catering services in the near future.

You wouldnt think of it from the location but this is definitely the best BBQ around. I used to go to somewhere close by or to Buzz and Neds, but now that Ive found Q there’s no reason to go anywhere else. Their meat is extremely tender and juicy and the flavor is perfect. I love getting the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and adding some of their spicy sauce (although it isnt needed). Their sides are perfect as well, especially the onion rings. Mmmm... now I know where Im going for dinner tonight ;) The only thing that would make it better is if it was closer to the West End, but I’m just happy it’s in the area.
