We go here for a beer, lots to choose from on tap, bring your growler. Thursdays there may be some pickin and grinnin. It is a small eating area and it can be a bit tight and when full very loud just with the conversations. Very good food, pizza is great but a bit pricey. In the warmer evening there is front porch seating and if it is cool out they do have a propane heater

My family just had a great dinner at Southwind. We loved their pizza, appetizers and pie. Southwind is "slow food" in the sense it is all homemade -- the pies are excellent. Lots of yummy microbrews too, which I guess are not homemade. We also enjoyed the live music. I recommend Southwind Cafe for Dinner... try it on a Thursday or Saturday evening too for live music.

Tonights entree was overpriced for one crabcake on wilted spinach; they could have included in side for $17. Had to actually have dinner when I got back home. Very disappointed as other visits were good, the new menu was limited, and I doubt Ill ever go back....such a shame.

This place had really good food, but the owner was very unprofessional as he was openly chastising someone who brought a complaint to him and he was very rude to the women who worked for him. The atmosphere would have been great if not for that.

The best pizza in the state of VA , hands down !! The ingredients are the healthiest and most natural. Friendly staff and a welcoming environment set this place apart ! We eat here every time we come to town.

There is always a little of a wait however it is all ways worth it. The food is great and a really good beer selection. If in the area and dont mind the wait it is the place to go.

Nice surprise. Lobster roll was amazing and my wife said the chicken salad sandwich was the best she has had in years (and she orders chicken salad every where we go)

Do not order the caesar salad. It was nothing but a big pile of lettuce, a teaspoon of parmesan, no crutons, and a thick dressing. The pizzas werent great either.

Great local eatery in Mathews...wonderful food, beers on tap, and super friendly people! They have so much more to offer than pizza, but that is pretty good too.
