Amazing fresh bread and nice variety of bread options. They have a gluten free room where they can prepare gluten free foods separately. Sandwiches any way you like it or choose from their selections. They offer a house dressing on most sandwiches and its the best dressing youll find. I had the Virginian. It was delicious. The prosciutto and peppers mix well with the ham and turkey. And the balsamic sauce was the perfect flavor and perfect amount. The pickle is crisp and delicious, not your soggy over marinated store type. They offer Rte 11 chips, which are a Virginia company and have the best variety of flavors. Outdoor seating is available, but there are plenty of indoor seats. If you are in a rush, you might want to call in your order. It can get crowded and busy. Staff is helpful, nice. And there is a nice selection of beer, coffee, chocolates, chips, and jams to look through while you wait.

The shop is interesting, and has plenty of tasty items that would do well in a gift basket. The menu has a lot of choices that lean towards the sandwich/salad sort of menu. The options are downright mouthwatering, they put plenty of meat and fresh ingredients in good bread for the sandwiches. The only thing that keeps them from 5 stars is that my sandwich came with a vinaigrette on it, and had far too much, so the vinegar completely overpowered the other ingredients. After I soaked up what I could with a napkin, it was a good sandwich that would have been great. It is a great place for a quick lunch, or for a take out work lunch.

Carla. I love Carla. She runs the show and is a bubbly ray of sunshine who greets everyone that walks in the store. After 2-3 times she will know your name. Great food, consistent food, and variety is their middle name (Taste Variety Unlimited). The only thing I miss is the Cheesapeake Sandwhich. If they would bring that one back my life would be complete.

Love Taste! It is my absolute favorite sandwich place. Everything always fresh, always yummy. The sandwiches are pricier than others, but not only are they better, they are BIGGER- and I find that I fill up on half a sandwich, or a cup of soup and 1/4 of a sandwich. If you enjoy good food you must try this delightful sandwich shop, it will not disappoint!

If you have ever had lunch in France or Italy and want to close your eyes and transport yourself back, do yourself a favor and order the Commonwealth sandwich. You can tell they take pride in the ingredients they use. They also did a great job catering our wedding rehearsal dinner. We are moving to Ohio and will miss this place dearly.

This is THE BEST place for sandwiches. The northender is my absolute favorite, but all of their sandwiches have fresh ingredients, awesome condiments, and amazing bread. I get the multigrain as much as possible. They also have a great rewards program.

I specified no cheese on my sandwich due to food allergies and my sandwich came out with cheese on it.. I think the workers need more training as food allergies can be life threatening, thankfully mine is not that severe

So disappointed, I frequent the Taste in Greenbrier and the food is always fresh. Ordered the Northerner, BBB read is soggy, potato salad is warm. Wont be going back to this location.

My experience was not as good as previous visit. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was extremely limited. It was all placed in the center of the sandwich.
