Although I tried to temper my expectations, Travinia was an incredibly disappointing experience. My wife and I went there on a Monday evening. The place was nearly empty, but tons of staff were on hand. Yet we somehow got a waiter who knew almost nothing about the menu, and seemed to be generally lost. I dont blame him. As the evening progressed it became apparent that the entire establishment is grossly mismanaged. For starters, they need a new menu layout. Its like someone loaded up a shotgun with menu items and sprayed it onto one giant piece of paper. Its overwhelming, especially when the server returns every 30 seconds to see if were ready to order yet. The wine menu was overpriced for the available selection. We finally picked the Chicken Marsala, partly because we both like that dish, and partly because it seemed fairly safe (the vibe I was getting about this restaurant was not great). Well I was wrong. The Chicken Marsala was not safe. The chicken was served in three large pieces with some melted cheese, Marsala sauce, and mushrooms on top and some buttered angel hair pasta on the side. First let me say, the melted cheese made no sense at all. It conflicted with the taste of the entire dish and added very little good flavor. The sauce was nothing spectacular, though it could have used more. The chicken was awful. It was slightly too tough and there were tendons throughout. The choice of buttered angel hair pasta also made no sense. It was too dry to enjoy completely by itself, but it didnt taste right when mixed with the Marsala sauce. Perhaps there are other dishes on the menu that do not disappoint, but the Chicken Marsala was truly awful. The entire experience was, honestly, embarrassing. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and a decent location. It has a pleasant layout with good decorations. Maybe the evening we went was a flop, but it was enough for me to decisively say I will never return there again. I dont expect I will ever visit any of the other Travinia locations either.

First let me say Im not a complainer and usually I only take the time to write good reviews. Second let me say that the food was DELICIOUS. However my experience at Travinia was definitely NOT a good one and I would NOT go back. I went to dinner with several friends on a Saturday night. We did have reservations and were seated upon arrival...thats about when the wheels came off. The service was terribly slow, the first wine glasses that game to the table were warm, the second set were filthy....marked with fingerprints and goodness knows what else (didnt wipe off with a napkin!). They took my flatware after the appetizers, then brought me a salad and walked off leaving me with no utensils to eat with! After repeated requests for additional flatware we finally got some. Our group ordered wine (white) which took FOREVER to get to the table and then it was warm! Just getting our water glasses refilled was an ordeal. The whole experience was just not enjoyable, AT ALL! I certainly dont blame our waiter. While he seemed a bit out of it I believe he was just totally overwhelmed with being responsible for too many tables (the place was packed). He apologized repeatedly for the slow service. I do place blame for a lousy experience, dirty glasses and slow service squarely on the shoulders of the management. In defense of the management they did not charge us for the wine (3 bottles) and 8 desserts...but that is NO WAY to run a restaurant! Hopefully the management of Travinia will "up their game" as the place has potential, but for me Ill never know since I wont be returning.

We only went for dessert last night so I may go back for dinner and rate them again. The restaurant is very beautiful and romantic. The front desk greeters all smiled and chatted with us which I enjoy. They seated us promptly. Our waiter was also friendly and prompt. The cappacino machine was broken so we ordered coffee which was very strong but pretty good. My husband ordered tiramisu and I ordered crème brulee. His tiramisu was good but didnt really have any coffee flavor, tasted like a crème puff. My crème brulee was crisped perfectly on top but was not well executed inside. I make fruit tarts at home with my own custard so I know what went wrong. It had the texture of what happens when you dont whip your eggs into the hot milk fast enough. It gets a cottage cheese texture is the only way to describe it. It tasted good but thought I would let the owner know if they read this that the execution of technique was poor so they can correct it. It still tasted good and we didnt complain because the overall experience was still fun.

Visited restaurant for lunch May 3. First time there. Very attractive build-out; modern, but warm-loking bar. Our server was a polite and witty young man. Thats the last of the good news. My companion wanted a bottle of pinot noir on e menu, but it was unavailable. "The wine list is being reorganized," our server said, the first apology. He brought something else. My other companion asked for a cappuccino. "The cappucino machine is broken," was the second polite apology. On Saturday, in the middle of the day, in an "Italian" restaurant, the cappucino machine is broken. We ordered eggplant parmigiana, by this time expecting to be told that there wasnt any eggplant or pasta available. Well there was, worse luck for us. Barely-hot pasta, with very little sauce. No salad. Two tasteless eggplant patties that probably came from Costco. I might be being unfair to Costco, actually. I will add that the tiramisu--it was on the menu, and they had it--was good. But I wont go back there and wont recommend the place.

We had a business luncheon at this restaurant and the food was alright but the service was so bad I will never go back. Our lunch took 2 hours and it wasnt because we were lingering. It was entirely because the servers and the kitchen were so slow and disorganized that they couldnt put out a complete tables worth of meals. We were seated 10 minutes before any of the servers even visited our table. After that the kitchen ground the entire meal into intermittent waits for apps, entrees, and desserts. The whole meal was ruined because no one knew what they were doing. I emailed the manager and they chose not to respond. They need a manager that can snap that place into line. The decor is charming and the food was alright but the horrible service was enough mark them off my list for good.

The server got the appetizer wrong , despite me asking her how long it takes for an appetizer to get ready, after bringing the wrong appetizer , she corrected the order , but took the one she brought back , despite seeing my hungry son eating from it, because the kid was hungry. She then offered us some bread , seeing a table that came in after us and they were served bread right away. And they even got a second one. 30 minutes and still no sign of our appetizer , as we watched the table near us getting served and re-served. Overall not a very pleasant experience on our first time giving Trivina a try. The table that was getting the nice service got their food sooner than us despite the fact that they arrived much later than us
