The service here is horrible. Not only is it slow, the waiters and waitresses seems ill equipped to answer even basic questions about the menu, and the managers are among some of the most rude Ive encountered in the service industry. On a recent visit, the server fumbled through splitting the bills for our table (come on, individuals meeting for dinner isnt really that uncommon of an occurrence these days), and asked to run our cards three separate times. When we asked to speak with a manager to understand why our cards were being run so many times, the manager didnt really seem to understand what was going on, talked over us, refused to answer our questions, said the conversation was taking up too much of her time, then insulted us by suggesting that the reason we were upset over our bill being incorrect and rung multiple times was because we had too much to drink. When we suggested that a little contrition would go a long way here, she said she didnt know what the word "contrite" meant and asked us to leave. Fitting. Ill never be back.

I applied for a hostess position in "Capital Ale House"on Cox road. Both managers I spoke with told me they needed one. After compleating a test today(math questions and personal questions) Ive been told to go look for something else cuz I was not good for them.I asked for explanation what was wrong cuz I thought I had a right to know but there was none.I speak 3 languages fluently, have a Bachelors degree and have a great personality too.But you know what thats all b.s.What their system thinks-thats what they trust. The answer "yes"or "no" is given by the computer. How ridiculous!!!.....Or I am not good for them because I am a foreigner and they are simply racists!!!!!

At 1:30 pm my wife and I went to eat here. After being seated we are told by the hostess that they are all out of Brunch items which supposedly goes to 3:00 pm. Then the waitress comes to take our drink orders and when she returns we are told that they are all out of 8 different main items, french fries, and ranch dressing. How does a restaurant miss manage so bad as to run out of a large portion of their menu items befor 1:30 pm? The only reason we stayed and ate there was because we were starving. We have eaten here before and it was good but this is completely unsatisfactory! It is highly doubtful that we will come here again.

Its not bad. We typically come here for drinks and apps and its a good place for that. The calamari is really good, the mexicali and thai chili wings are good. They dont have the biggest selection of cocktails, its much more of a beer place (as the name suggests). Theres a lot of seating, and their endless mussels on Thursdays are pretty fantastic as well. That said, service can be a little slow sometimes and the prices are a little high for some of what youre getting, but its open late, so if youre looking for a late night hang on a weeknight, its not a bad pick.

Great beer menu. Food is terrible. In the last 3 years I have tried the 3 Richmond locations. Today I ordered the Prime Rib special.I have never left satisfied at any of the locations. Todays was Glen Allen It never saw the oven. It came out cold. The cooks never used a thermometer only pulled it from the fridge. Why today are second class food establishments buying pre-cooked items from food service vendors and hiring people that that have no culinary experience. Even Mac Donalds trains there staff with proper temps

I use to go on Mondays for the dollar burgers which I think are a great deal. Majority of the servers ignore you even though theres hardly anyone else in there eating. Crappy service means crappy tip in my books. I guess enough people have left crappy tips in the past so theyve now changed how they tax you. You use to get taxed on burgers being a dollar but now they tax you based off what the meal would cost without a discount. So now the servers can continue to be crappy but someone there will make more money off you.

In the last 3 times I have been there 2 of those experiences was horrible. First we waited forever for someone to even come to my table. I had to end up going to the desk and getting help. The next time I went it took forever with the food because I believed the server didnt put the order in. He never came back to check on us. I finally got a chance to stop him as he walked by to ask about the food. He went to check and it still wasnt done with resulted in me and my table getting up and leave.

This review is for their brunch. Overall I have always enjoyed a good beer in the patio here. Lunch and dinner menus are usually quite good. Brunch on Saturday morning at 11 am was kind of weird. We were wondering why no people here. I guess the brunch experience opinion has spread. The menu is quite limited and not too tasty. Only one omelette option and the other bfast dishes were over seasoned and the fruit was old. Scones were pretty tasty though. A bit disappointing.

Waited for food for 50 minutes, LUNCH!! on Saturday. There was 10 people in the place. Only ordred burger and salads, NOTHING SPECIAL! Waitess was nice. NOT her fault. But she should have told us that it was gonna take that long. Manager did discount it after a complaint but was not even aware of of what was going on with the place. NOT GOOD MANAGEMENT!! Will never ave to worry about me spending my hard earned $ IN there again.

I have eaten here almost a dozen times over the last year. They have an excellent GF menu and understand Celiac concerns. Ive never had a gluten reaction here and the food is terrific. I normally sit at the bar, so I cant comment on table service but the bartenders are top-notch. One of my favorite places in the Richmond area!

Lots of beer to choose from. They set up their ten-page beer menu on Mondays, so if you wait towards the end of the week, you might not get what you want--but they have plenty of substitutes! Food is alright, but dont have high expectations. Also, check on for nightly specials like Dollar Burger Night or Steal-the-Glass Tuesdays!

Excellent food with great service! Started with the cheese curds. The sauce was amazing! I had the blacked prim rib and loved it. My buddy had the flat iron steak and loved it as well. Oh yeah, lots of beer to choose from. I was also impressed that our waitress knew about the beers and was able to offer some suggestions.

The food is amazing (though pricey for some) the beer menu always changes which is nice so you get a new feel every time you go. The only thing I dont like about the place is the atompshere at times feels unwelcoming and the waiters and waitress arent always the best(though thankfully this hasnt happened in a while).

Great beer selection. Food is good. Bartenders lack the people skills to make you feel welcome they are like high school students that dont know how to interact outside of texting. I will go back just dont expect a warm welcome an personable service if you do.....at least at the bar Ive never sat at a table
