My boyfriend and I were very excited to explore the menu at Park Lane- we had received several recommendations from friends to eat here. The restaurant has such a charming atmosphere and the bar area is extremely eye catching. The outdoor seating was just quiet enough and the tables werent too close together. The wait staff was all friendly and didnt berate us with check- ins. I wish I could give this restaurant 5 stars, and honestly, if the food wasnt horrendous it would get a 5 star review. The rotating tap selection is fine- nothing to write about. We ordered the breaded onion and mushrooms to start and the breading on these things alone could have fed a village. It was like they wrapped a carnival funnel cake around each vegetable. We attempted to dissect the vegetables, but after a mound of breading on our table, we deemed it no longer worth it- practically inedible. I ordered the corned beef sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the London broil. The corned beef was tough, but the bread was not soggy and the sauerkraut was tasty. It wasnt a bad sandwich- just a little salty for my personal taste. The London broil is where the 2 star review is truly justified. My boyfriend ordered medium rare and they served some pieces raw. Nothing else to say about that- they simply served raw meat. The presentation of the meal didnt help- a lump of mashed potatoes in the middle of the plate soaking in the run off from the broil is not exactly enticing. I would not recommend this place to anyones dog. Maybe some of the other entrees are where Park Lane truly shines, but I am not convinced it is possible.

Exactly the kind of place I was looking for in the area. The staff was on point ad polite. We sat at the bar and the bartenders wasted no time greeting us offering the drink and food menus. Great selection of beers, beers from several countries including your standard domestics. I would have to say the drinks and bar would be 5 star but when it come to the food, dont get me wrong, the menu looked delicious. Everything look appetizing. I ordered a burger, topped with corned beef and beer braised cabbage. I ordered the burger, medium-well. It took a little longer than expected to come out. The burgers presentation was okay, maybe too much lettuce, the burger was burnt and crunchy which took away from the toppings. Every bite, I could smell the burnt burger. The last thing about the burger was it was 3/4 the size of the bun. When I finished the burger, I had a few bites of corned beef and cabbage left. I was thinking I should have ordered the corned beef a d cabbage meal vs the burger. I didnt send it back or complain because of you couldnt cook my burger right the first time I dont think you can do it right the second time. Hopefully I can get another chance to visit a d try something different because everything on the menu looked delicious, but looks can be deceiving.

Park Lane Tavern is simply AWESOME!!! I have had the opportunity to taste several of their dishes. They have both children and teen menus which is great. The fish and chips taste very crisp and flaky. The menu is perfect for people who want to have flavors. What I mean is I had never had apples and cranberries with chicken and would have frowned before eating it here. The fresh taste and complimentary flavors I still remember and I tried that two years ago. Today I tried the french dip sliced prime rib with caramelized onions (extra tastes even better) simply put it was well worth the price. For a side I had pan seared green beans they tasted fresh and went well with the French Dip. I was also able to taste their burger with baby Swiss, bacon, caramelized onions (which did hit us for an additional $2.00) tasted char-broiled to perfection. Their root beer is a must! It tastes freshly made. Overall, we always receive great service and enjoy it every time.

While sometimes Id think that I should only give 5 stars to places I often frequent, I cant deny that all of the times Ive come here with friends have been excellent. Prices are mid to high for all of the craftbeer, but youd likely expect that already. That beer selection is quite expansive too and the bar staff generally knows the proper way to pour each of them too (e.g. nitro, ones w yeast sediment at the bottom that needs to be hand warmed and rolled around, etc). The wood decor is nice and unique too, however its still a very far cry from a typical London/UK/Ireland pub or tavern (trust me, Ive been to quiteeeee a few), but hey, were here in Hampton so I cant complain about that experience difference too much.

Great bar in the middle of town center. If you go Fri or Sat make sure you get there a little early to get a seat. When we went with 8 people at 330pm on a friday the manager asked if we would be done by 515pm since they had a reservation coming in. This is the first time I have had this happen anywhere, so that was a little weird. Luckily though I waitress was wonderful. We ended up staying till 10pm and decided to move out side to one of the fire pit tables, so it didnt really end up being an issue with the reservation coming in. It can take a little longer for drinks to come out due to them only have 2 behind the bar I saw. Though over all its a great place to go and have a few drinks with friends

The worst thing for me is the service at the bar. I have been here several times and every time I have been the bartenders do not suggest any drinks, check with you once and never come back and are poorly trained in making drinks. The food is so-so with nothing to write home about. They have a great whiskey and bourbon selection but dont have a drink menu to offer ideas on how to use them. Its like you can order your drink straight up or you better have your own recipe to give them if you dont want it that way. I suggest firing the whole bar staff and starting over with some fresh faces that are properly trained and actually seem interested in helping their customers.

Four of us had the house specialty fish and chips. The portion of fish was huge and the steak fries were ok, even though they were a little on the cold side. The fish was cooked very well, crisp batter and flaky fish without being greasy. The service was....ok. I did have to ask for a refill of my drink and it felt a bit like I was inconveniencing the waiter. That was a little irritating. Typical pub atmosphere, lots of beers on tap and drink specials before 6pm. Kid friendly restaraunt which offered tween portions which is the first time Ive seen that. Worked out perfect for my kids. We would go back again when we are in the area.

A bar that has developed the local feel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and bartenders are well versed with the beer selection and sprits. Park Lane has a more mature feel, not to be miscontrued, there is always a festive and joyous feeling. A good mix of regulars and people stopping by after work for a cold drink and some hot food. The food is quite tasty, from the fish and chips to shepards pie and well cooked salmon. The selection of beer is what park lane is all about. Add in the friendly pub feel, thats what makes first time visitors into regulars.
