Today, Jan 20th, we went to the Pax Ale House for our first, AND ONLY, visit. Our burgers were average but the fries were just horrible. I specifically requested that I receive hot, fresh fries with my burger. When they arrived at our table, they were, at best, barely warm wilted and it was obvious they had been sitting in a warming tray prior to coming to our table. I mentioned it to the young man from the kitchen who delivered our food, he said he would bring out a fresh order. The fries he brought out were in much the same condition as the previous order. When a restaurant is not crowded, there were about nine cars in the parking lot, one would think the kitchen would prepare the fries at the time the order is placed. And since, it took a bit of time linger than usual for our order to be delivered, there was plenty of time for fresh fries to have been freshly made. This facility has been open long enough that they are certainly past the “shake-down cruise” mode and should be delivering a quality product to the table. We saw nothing which would make us return.

This is me and my husbands second time coming here. I LOVE the food. Very flavorful and fresh. The first visit we tried what seemed like ALL of the beer. It was fun trying the different flavors since were just used to Budweiser. This second time was absolutely amazing. I wanted to watch the NASCAR race but I not the staff knew what channel it was on. Our waitress Ashley scrambled to find out what channel it was on and after some research found out but realized that the remote wasnt working so the team banned together and and got the race of two different tvs for us. Ashley suggested some great options for our drinks and appetizers and she was just and all around AMAZING server. Thank you to Ashley, Martha, the manager, and the rest of the team (sorry we didnt get the rest of your names but it was the bartender, hostess, and I think another server) for a great second experience. We will definitely come back!

This place seriously rocks and is now my favorite place to eat and chill. The atmosphere is really cool. You can go here to just chill and watch sports with friends, or enjoy a business event happy hour get together, or go on a romantic date. The beer, wine and liquor selection is on point with tons to choose from. To top it all off the food is the best in the area!! I have gotten a different dish every time and have never been dissatisfied. This is saying a lot for this area. Its next to impossible to get it all but for once this place has accomplished just that! To die for food, great alcohol selection, and a cool place to hang out! Thank you Ale House for getting it right!

Horrible service. Walked in with my friend yesterday at about 7pm. The place was dead. The hostess sat us at a two top next to another group. Not once, did any waiter or waitress come to our table. We literally had a waitress look at our table confused like she didnt know what to ask or say. She then walked away. After 15 minutes we just left. The same hostess that sat us noticed us leaving and just gave us a stupid look. Half if the wait staff was literally meandering around with nothing to do. Avoid this place.

The wait staff was very nice and attentive. I ordered the patty melt well done. It was cooked appropriately. The burger was ok. It lacked flavor though. The beef you could tell was good but I think that they would do well to season their beef. The fries that came with my meal were not good. They were soggy and soft. The fries for all 4 of the orders at my table were the same. I will give another try, but 3 stars for now.

My sorority sisters and I held a meeting followed by dinner at the Pax River Ale House on April 30, 2017. The staff was extremely professional and very nice. The manager, hostess and staff checked on us multiple times accommodating our every request. With the size of our group we were able to try various menu items and drinks; all of them were delicious. I look forward to visiting again.

One of the newest spots in Pax River, and it is still working out the kinks. Outside in the packed parking lot the overbearing smell of grease permeates everything. First impression inside are that the slippery floors are a liability. The best feature is the robust selection of draft beer. Many of which are local breweries. Looking forward to this place maturing over time.

For what appeared to be your run of the mill "Ale House," I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the end of my meal. Service: excellent. Beer/ale section: excellent. Food: NOT the normal, "bar food" I expected.Eclectic, interesting menu, freash, creative specials and really good quality. Best food around Lexington Park...

first time here and was very surprised at how nice the inside is. service was great. Rae did a great job as a waitress. I had a buffalo chicken pizza that was terrific. the wife had a burger and was pleased. buffalo wings appetizer was very tasty as well. also tried a flight. decent selection and variety.

Was plenty of food for the money (burger and pizza). Food arrived quickly and looked as good as it tasted, probably the best selection of beer around as far as quantity. The better half and I will most likely go back.... At the least it will remain on the list of options in the area.

I enjoyed it, Lexington Park doesnt offer much in the way of restaurants or even palatable food, so this was a pleasant surprise. I would have given them 5 stars but the horseradish was watered down to the point of being tasteless. Other than that, good!

Had shepards pie nothing like I have ever had the gravy and mash potatoes were off. Will probably never eat there again. Everything else on the menu is just basic bar food nothing special 72.00 for 4 people little up in price. Waiter was nice though.

Our waitress was lovely and very good , however they were out of a lot of the beer we wanted and some of the food.The kitchen staff need work, there were four of us and they bought our food out one at a time with about 15 munites between each plate.

Absolutely brilliant place. Great selection of Ales and food. My favourite must be shepherds pie. The only place in the area that serves it. Plenty of seating and spacious car park. Staff is very nice and helpful. Prices are very reasonable.

This is our 4th time here and we keep trying different items on the menu. We havent found anything we did not like. If your really into IPAs, you will enjoy their selections. The food is moderately priced and portions match price.

Good beer selection (multiple crafts with a lean towards the mid-Atlantic region (but a few outside like Rogue and Ballast Point). Food was upscale bar food and done quite well. Reasonably priced for a nicer place like this.

Great service, the staff was very polite and courteous. A fresh and modern look. Plenty of beers to select from. Food was fantastic as well. My favorite starter was the onion rings, and entree was the savlouki chicken peta.
