Pomme feels like a french restaurant, it is charming and cozy. Dinner howerver, is hit or miss. I ordered Entrecote (a generous rib eye) which was done very nicely with truffle butter; however the simple side of piped sweet potatoes was a stingy portion and the vegetable not worth mentioning. My partners veal, was very average and "trop petit" for a dinner serving priced at $29.00. The Bread, a hallmark of France, served gerously everywhere, was not so here. Pieces of baguette were dolled out by a server girl with tongs and were not worth asking for seconds. The salad and soup we ordered were very nice and had great fresh flavors and our desserts (chocholate mousse cake and cheese plate) were very good. Our waiter seemed nervous and inexperienced, but other staff seemed competant. Dinner for 2 with tip $177.00 One should expect more for the $$$$

My husband and I ate there for dinner over the weekend and were more than impressed with the place. We had been driving through the countryside, trying to figure out what to do for dinner and my husband found this on his blackberry. I wasnt convinced at first, because of a few of the negative reviews online, but Im so glad he talked me into it. The food was excellent! I havent had anything this good in a long while! The service was wonderful - several of the staff kept checking to make sure everything was good. The chef came out to serve us the cheese platter appetizer and even came back later in our meal to make sure everything was to our liking - very friendly! It was nice because it wasnt too fancy or casual. We will definitely go back next time were in the area.

Very disappointing...they finally brought the bottle of wine we ordered with the dessert when we expected it with the main course...the staff is friendly but not trained as it should be in a French restaurant that pretends to fly at that altitude. Very expensive for that kind of menu even if overall it was good. The owner is friendly but he is talking to you while you are eating, as well as the staff, like if their priorities were more important than yours. The wine list has very few of the good years. In France it would be an average restaurant. I would say on a scale of 20 they get a 12.

While staying at a B&B nearby I asked the innkeeper for a favorite dinner recommendation and couldnt have been happier after dining at Pomme. Despite having a reservation and being made to wait 20 minutes (in their defense, the 20 minutes was to give us a more romantic table further from the door) the food was excellent. We started with the Scallops which were perfect and then beef medallions and duck for our main courses...both were well executed and tasty. I would definitely dine at Pomme again...it is worth the drive!

We where on are way to Vineyard near by when we decided to stop and fill are tummies. To are surprise we can across the best in Class French restaurant. Pomme was one of the most delight full places we had ever dined. I would recommend to even the toughest food critics. We ended up staying well past are scheduled time and never did make it to the vineyard. However, Guillaume had all the knowledge we needed to help us on the selection of are wines.

My in-laws drive 2 hours to go to Pomme once or twice a month for lunch. It is consistently delicious. It is expensive, no doubt. But worth it. Service can be uneven but never bad. Im not an expert on French food or cooking but Ive never had a bad meal there. The crab cakes are delicious- full of crab and so crispy on the outside. Charming little area to explore on a weekend.

Restaurant Pomme is quaint little French restaurant in the heart of the restored historic district of the town of Gordonsville, with a convenient parking lot right across the street. Excellent food both times Ive been. The creme brulee was delicious and the Eggs Benedict was the best Ive ever had. Very good service too.

The entire experience was highly enjoyable. Menu choices were varied and interesting, the chef and staff were charming, seating was comfortable, and the surroundings, including artwork, were pleasant to the eye. This was our 5th visit, and we have never been disappointed.

I love the service, the food, the atmosphere, and the owners. Guillaume and his family treat my wife and I like were the most important people in the restaurant. We will always consider Pomme as the place we go for all our special dinners!

Crém breulè was extraordinary, sauces savory, prices reasonable. Everything you could expect in a quaint local French village. Wine list vast. (cost per includes wine, app, entrée, & dessert. Add tax & gratuity, closer to $100) Well Worth it

My husband and I went here for a special night out. Had the bone marrow for an appetizer. Duck and lamb for the main course and two lovely desserts. This is a high end place, but so well worth it.

Spectacular! This is an excellent place for a date night. The food was amazing. My wife has issues with gluten, yet almost everything on the menu was acceptable... even some soups.

A very nice little restaurant. Very surprising since it doesnt look like much from the tiny street that it is on. We had a delicious lunch.

Its like dining on the Champs DElysee. And they generously open their doors at Christmastime to all the town employees and guests!
