Cant believe that I didnt rate this place yet! Sister company to Water Street Grille over in Yorktown, but Ill let you in on a little secret, only YROC here actually does great happy hour food and drink specials! Many many things on those special menus, even if its half off appetizers which means you can get very cheaply priced shrimp, calamari, chips, potato skins, and rail cocktails. In warmer weather, we often come here after work and sit on the "crab deck" (as it was called with the previous owners at least) where we get to look at all of the sailboats and sunset. Bugs in the spring and summer though may get quite out of hand outside, but ... thats because youre outside. If theres a breeze theyll be kept at bay at least. Staff has always been very, very friendly out on the deck and sometimes slips us some extra, delicious corn bread upon request. Inside has always been very clean, but we rarely dine in there.

So first off its a cool little place and our waiter was a superb young man who was all over it. Unfortunately thats where the kudos stop. The Food on a scale of 1-10 was 6. The crab dip was good but the bowl was half empty, and over half the chips were way too brown & deep fried to eat, truthfully they should do away with the chips and go to toasted pita bread or something else. My beer was not nearly as cold as it should be served. The shrimp & grits were good, but nothing that knocked my socks off with, and it could have at least come with some bread. My wifes & daughters food was nothing special either. I am hoping that maybe we just caught an off night for the kitchen staff, I am definitely willing to give the place another go because I know so many people who recommend the place.

The service was excellent.I started with a cup of the She Crab Soup,it was good.Next I had 6 Fried Oysters with a vegetable medley of onions, red peppers, carrots,& zucchini this was excellent.I finished off the meal with their homemade Chocolate Mousse, this was also excellent, but the serving,in a Martini Glass, was too large for me.Their Ice Tea is also excellent. As a whole I would highly recommend them if you would enjoy a light meal.Oct.28th-I came for Lunch and had the Oyster PoBoy with Fries--it was excellent. Also was served the Homemade Potato Chips with Chipotle Ranch Dip--also excellent. My server Zach was excellent & very knowledgable.

Oh man where do i begin? Have been here many times before, wanted some quality time with a good friend. Lets go to YROC,she had never been before. Waited over 40 mins for food, all other tables around us were eating. Not us,although they were seated well after us. When food arrived it was cold, and only one of us got food! Happy hour highly overrated, looked like cheap sports bar food! Ordered the special Coca Cola ribeye..mashed potatoes,( medium to well,) was dried out unedible! Thank god,we ate all the chips as we were starving.!! I left hungry, disappointed and embarrassed!!

Its hidden on the back of a neighborhood, very nice view of the water way. The sever we had was a very nice young lady with a odd but pretty name but the food was average to be kind. I had the yroc fish fry, (1 crab cake very weird after favor, 3 oyster was not done in middle, 2 shrimps were very good, 1/2 haddock fish was fried too hard, mash potatoes not very good.) My husband had the fish and chips. The cheesy tots were very good. This place is not a place we plan to visit again to EAT! Perhaps just for cocktails and the view. If we would return here.

The calamari appetizer was probably the best I’ve ever eaten! Very fair prices for excellent food. There were no seats left at the bar, so we sat next to a window overlooking the marina. The White Russians were delicious and delivered promptly. Yummy homemade potato chips were served gratis. The service was excellent. I will definitely return and try more items on the menu. Its lucky to find a restaurant in the area that has a cool vibe, water view, outdoor dining and absolutely GREAT prices.

Atmosphere was nice. My husband ordered the oysters Rockefeller. The oysters were tiny. He had the fish and chips. The breading on the fish was overcooked and the slaw was tasteless. I had the fish tacos. They were cold and had very small amount of mahi. We will not be back! The prices were ridiculous for the poor quality of food we recieved. If youre going to charge these prices, you should damn well serve a quality product. Steer clear of this place!!!!!!

$21 for the shrimp platter that only came with 6 shrimp. Sons and my Hush puppies were burnt. Charred, on outside. You wouldnt think a chef would let that out of their kitchen. House side salad basically just lettuce with a tomato wedge on the side. Had to go to the bar to get a refill of tea. Will not be revisiting. Better local seafood restaurants in Gloucester and williamsburg.

Had dinner table for 7. Excellent service. Everyone at table had different dishes......and all were saying "yummie". I had crab cakes and was in heaven. Mario, the new owner has done a great job in turning this wonderful restaurant site back into its full glory nestled among some of the most beautiful yachts in Virginia.

First time here. Great atmosphere. Who doesnt want to eat on the York River. Had spring rolls as an appetizer...delicious. Entree was shrimp scampi and was perfect. Lauren at the bar was da bomb. Very attentive to our party. Would recommend to anyone that wants great food, great service in a picturesque atmosphere.

After we ordered drinks and appetizers we were told happy hour was not honored on holidays. The food was overpriced and terrible. Those who ordered crab cakes were unhappy. The fish and chips were OK. Those who got macaroni and cheese said it was cold and old. This restaurant once was good. Not now.

Ordered fried seafood dinner which was cold, over fried, over priced ($24 ) and very small ( 2 oysters, 2 over breaded shrimp, small piece of burnt fish and small crab cake. All served on huge portion of tasteless mashed potatoes with slaw and absolutely no bread. Wont be going here again.

They were short on staff. Got drinks but took one hour to order food. Had to complain to manager to get someone to take order. This was our second visit. First visit would have been 4 and1/2 stars. Will go back and give another chance.

Great location, great service and fabulous food. The homemade chips they serve before you order are out of this world...be careful or you wont be able to eat your dinner! Shrimp and grits, one of the best. The carrot cake is to die for.

A great experience; the food was delious, the staff was friendly, the scenery was beautiful, and the service was great. Chef Ryan even came and talked to us and explained the specials.
