First problem, they give you no control over how the burger was cooked. You either got well done or pink, they would not let you order it medium-well/medium/medium-rare. Ive never seen a restaraunt do that. Theyre made to order, so I dont see the problem in cooking it how the customer desires. Got the burger, had to order it well done because I usually get my burger medium and didnt want to chance getting a medium-rare/rare burger. Burger of course was a hockey puck. The bun was nice, as well as the sauce, and the fries. However, as I was eating a man got up and vomited into a trashcan, and it splashed on my uncle. Thats never a good sign, probably due to the "pink" burger. There were also several families with screaming children the entirety of the meal. This is primarily the parents fault, as they did nothing to settle the children, but I still expect a restaraunt to step in once the noise levels become ridiculous, but nothing was done. Overall a bad experience. Wouldnt recommend.

VERY disappointed. Over priced. Restaurant cleanliness is obviously not a priority. When ordering a beer with my meal, the front counter person with a condescending attitude asked me for my ID then proceeded to ask me the year that I was born AND my age. I am 52! We ordered two burgers, an order of fries, a beer and a milkshake. Thirty three dollars later...the fries were cold. My husband went back to the counter to get a fresh order only to be given another order that tasted old and reheated. I tasted one. It was disgusting. He did not eat them. His burger was great. Mine was RAW. The manager offered to personally cook a new burger, to which I refused, refunded my money for the burger and gave me a $15 gift card for a future visit. A future visit is not likely to occur.

My family and I just had lunch at your Kilmarnock restaurant and it was so incredibly horrible. My husbands burger was well done not medium and my daughter didnt receive her chicken tenders until 15 minutes after everyone elses food at the table was delivered. On top of all of this, the entrees did not come with fries or chips!!!! What a rip off! So we went ahead and ordered fries but only 20 were came in the basket and they were undercooked! We are from Alexandria and get way better burgers for cheaper! So aggravated at dropping nearly $50 on something we could have gotten for $25! Sent from my iPhone

Ive traveled enough to know that sometimes it seems like small town restaurants dont always live up to the reviews. However Northern Neck absolutely does. Lively town, popular burger place, creative menu, perfectly prepared food, and great service. Dont expect a $5 burger or a $5 tab unless you order a kids meal. My wife was impressed with this place and she is pretty picky. There are a lot of choices in Kilmarnock, but I know we will be eating at Northern Neck again next time we are in the area.

Awesome burgers, I do have a few suggestions for the owner to knock my two favorite burgers out of the park. 1st suggestion , on the teriyaki burger take off the Sautéed Portobello Mushrooms and add a fresh grilled pineapple slice !! yummy island style !! 2nd suggestion , on the Porch burger take off the Apple Chutney and add a fresh slice of apple ( cold, sweet & crisp,) yeah, no not going to happen, doesnt take any advice.

You know a good burger when you find it. And a good burger is hard to find these days of frozen patties compressed into uniformed shapes. Here comes the Northern Neck Burger Co. or NN Burger making a mighty tasty burger. I had the Ultimate Bacon Burger, which is applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion on brioche bun. They add their special secret sauce called ‘Rivah’ sauce. So good.

My family and I drove an hour and a half (from King George, VA) to this place and it was WELL WORTH IT!!! We even got a chance to meet the owner while we were sitting outside on the patio. The Teriyaki Swiss Mushroom Burger was GREAT. My toddler son even ate his whole Wee Burger, which says a lot. We will come back at least once a month. See yall in June!!!

Went there on a weekday, and they took our order, we waited for a very long time to only realise after we got back home they forgot our twisters,didnt put the bacon on my burger and they didnt put the chocolate on our milkshake. I was quite surprised at all the things missing or wrong with our order!! I thought they had this place on lock since they opened!

Ive been to this location many times and typically the service is friendly and the food is great. Unfortunately this time I brought my parents here and we had to leave because they ran out or Turkey burgers and the girl taking orders was rude not only to us but to everyone she took an order from. Maybe NN burger just isnt holiday weekend ready.

I would rate 5 stars because the burger, fries, and beer were awesome; except when I asked for a sharpie to correct the grammar errors on the wall (commas missing between "..moral, intellectual, and physical ...") one was not provided. Then again, I guess I cant blame them for not provided sharpies.... Well be back next time were in town.

It used to be the best place around until their Tappahannock location opened and they started changing the menu. It was known for having unique burgers, but it became like any other burger joint. They have improved the food and service recently though. addendum This place is awesome again, the burgers were great!

Absolutely awesome burgers!!! I had the one with blue cheese crumbles and carmelized onions and it was great. The dont have jalapeños on the burger topping list but they had them with the nachos is so they added them to my burger and it was fanastic. The kids got the milk shakes and they were great as well.

Great burgers! Super popular place, offering a good selection of quality burgers, including vegetarian options. Get the spiral fries to go with your meal. Theyre fresh cut and fried up just right.. more like chips than fries. NN Burger also has live music.

The food was good but for the price, you dont get a whole lot of it. The burgers are not very big at all and dont come with a side. I went there solo and it was still 30-45 min to get my burger. Five guys would be a better deal unfortunately

Foods cooked well but my burger came without the fried egg or bacon the burger was named for. Waited 50ish minutes for a burger and the staff was all under 18 had to wait for the one beer pourer. Otherwise though seriously delish burger

Hands-down the best burgers around. Huge mouthwatering burgers cooked to perfection. A hard-working owner who is always there and on the ball with every detail. Great service with a hometown feel. And I almost forgot very dog friendly.

The burgers are ok, nothing special. Theres a good chance your order will be messed up. Theyve forgotten the bacon on a bacon burger 3x! The spiral fries are good though. They need to improve on getting the actual order correct.

I have been eating at NNB since they opened. I have tried almost everything on the menu and all of it is exceptional! Jay and the staff are friendly and efficient. If you havent been here yet, you must go. And you will go back.
