Service was very nice - we had 3 kids under 5 with us and I think everyone did their best to accommodate us and we were appreciative. The food was fine. The crabdip was fine - it was lacking a little in crabiness and I did not care for the bread that was served with it as it just kind of mushed when you tried to eat with it. The salad, a house salad, was also fine - it seemed like an afterthought, nothing purposeful. We got a seafood platter, I cant remember the full name of the dish, broiled - not fried, also just fine. The large rockfish filet was a bit bland and tough. The scallops were quite nicely cooked, but the feet were still on. The shrimp were also nicely done. The crabcake was quite crabby which I was so pleased with that I forgot to share with my partner! The hushpuppies were good, not great. The sweet potatoe and butter/cinnamon mix was tasty, but nothing spectacular. The best part of the meal was the view and the dock, being able to run with the kids - so nice, and the accommodating, friendly service.

There are few restaurants that can bridge the gap between you, the customer, and an experience worthy of your highest of praise. This one misses the mark like millivanilli misses audio sync. The great Gods of fine dining look down upon the staff of this establishment with the condemnation that youd give to your German Shepherd if it walked in on you and interrupted you and your spouse making the beast with two backs. The wide range of meats available does not compensate for our most embarrassing of observations, that most certainly made the ground shake and the clouds part: wait staff expelling their bowels preceded by a marked lack of washing the hands. Discontinuing their cheesesticks and leaving hair in customers pasta should not be the straw that breaks the camels back, but it is exceedingly approaching the brink of discord and despair.

Made a reservation still expecting a wait but was taken right in, our dog and all..All the staff was very nice and petting the dog and brought her water like she was another member of the family!..The owners did an amazing job with the build of this restaurant in how open and inviting it is and the environment it creates for a great meal and pleasurable experience!..We had crab dip, crab cakes, hamburgers, fried shimp, fried pickles, spinach salad with chicken, margaritas, snow crab legs, etc,..and it was all great. Its always hit or miss when going off reviews when traveling but this one was spot on!..Thanks for contributing to a great Mothers Day for my wife and children!..and thank you Kelly for the amazing service!..

Very expensive food. Sort of a flashy kind of environment good for showing off what you have kind of place. It is,"Lets Keep Up With The Jones" kind of place! The bar is nestled in a glasses in corner of the restaurant where all of the salty sea Captains crack jokes, hobnob and stare at you and your consecutive other while you try to eat the mounds of side dish that comes with your expensive portion of meat! Very spacious dining areas for the local "Elite", so break out the gold card, its time to do some damage! Also, be conscious of the clothing you wear here, you may have some of the local ladies snicker at you and make snide comments of how homeless you may appear! Just saying...

Overpriced, poor service. I asked for a sample of the cream of crab soup and the server told me I could only try the soup base and there would be no crab in it. Either theyre too cheap to include a shred of crab, or they add it upon plating and dont actually cook it with the base. Either way, not cool. Our soups, which are actually delicious, were brought without the hush puppies I requested to be served alongside. I sat with my napkin covering the soup to keep it warm, waiting for the hush puppies. The food runner brought the food and left without a word, twice. The crab pizza is horrible. If you appreciate artfully prepared food, just pretend its not on the menu.

Fathers Day 2017 We were suggested this eatery by a local, but I had been told not to go here a few months back; I am regretting it now. My wife and I have eaten raw oysters in several dif places. The oysters are usually very well rinsed and shucked. I have had raw oysters in Las Vegas at a buffet at the Rampart that were better than here which is sad to say because the buffet was cheaper than a dozen here. Overpriced, poor quality food. Paid $12 for calamari and got better quality at The Spot in Galveston and theyre a "BAR". We did enjoy the sailboat trip we took afterwards with Chesapeake Bay Charters, so this was a great Fathers Day. UNION PIPEFITTER

We were seated at 6:30 PM on a Tuesday evening, we ordered drinks and an appitizer the appitizer came our before our drinks. We then ordered salads, a wrap and a fish sandwich. We still did not have our food at 8:30 pm. When we asked to speak to someone, the owner came over and argued with us saying our ticket didnt go in until 7:30. When we got our food, the wrap was cold and soggy ,the shrimp cold and rubbery over the salads and the fish sandwich looked like a hamburger, which was cold. We would have been okay with a long wait but arguing with customers is unacceptable. The entire staff looked unhappy.

A first timer to Solomons, I was not in the know about local eateries. My party decided on The Lighthouse and it was a great decision. We arrived early in the evening and were seated right away. Late comers are not so fortunate but food is well worth the wait. We came for crab and crab is what we got. Id rate this as some of the best crab Ive ever had, chunky and succulent. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and although food took a while coming out on a busy Saturday night, it was all hot and fresh. Dont miss this place if youre looking for great seafood.

Had a very disappointing experience today. The computers went down and we were asked to wait a little while it rebooted, after 20 mins we asked if there was anything else that could be done, and they said no, after another 15 mins we asked for a manager and he was too busy with the tables upfront!!! Whatever that means. We waited 40 minutes to finally get our check from the time we asked for our checks. Manager never came to acknowledge us, and no discounts or anything was offered! We had a baby with us and this was very frustrating! Not going back!

Not a restaurant out of the ordinary. Food was mediocre and staff wasnt very friendly. The food was overpriced for what it was. Its also too bad they force a tip for crappy service just because we had a group of 10 plus a couple kids. I would normally tip 20 - 30% for great service but the server seemed uninterested in being there, very rude and never gave us one smile. She really didnt earn the automatic 18% tip imposed on us. Shame on this restaurant for having crappy servers and forcing groups to tip on such crappy service.
