Napa Wood Fired Pizzeria is home to the BEST pizza in Rochester, and it does not disappoint. City Newspaper even voted Napa Valley to be the Best Pizza you can get in Rochester, and with a variety of tasty choices you can see why. Service at Napa is always stellar, with a staff that is very informative with the extensive menu they present. Napa is now home to a variety of crafted beer to enjoy with your pizza, some even produced in-house. The location in the South Clinton area gives you that trendy millennial atmosphere, where you can enjoy a drink on their expansive patio. I love the brick oven they use to produce their food, because it carries ample amounts of space to crisp those paninis/pizzas to perfection. Making the pizza itself is a challenging task, as I remember it taking me forever to roll out the dough correctly before placing it in the oven to try. I never anticipated the oven being so big either, as I almost fell inside trying to fetch the pizza I made out. With so much pizza goodness, lets get on to these slices!! WINE, CRAFT BEER, and COCKTAILS: Google! Tip- Go for their NAPA RED wine flights where can get a selection of 3 top red wines to enjoy. The reds are where it is at here with their Colle Morino Montepulciano, a light-bodied semi-dry red wine. For craft beer, go for NAPAs own Harvest Basil Brown Ale which is a refreshingly tasting light beer on the pallet with hints of basil throughout. Blood Orange Vodka Martini uses prairie organic vodka, and triple sec which is a slam dunk!! This martini is also combined with a house sour mix, and blood red orange juice which makes this a winning martini to have with a BBQ pizza. BRUNCH: this is probably one of the most happening hot spots for brunch on Sunday morning here in Rochester. The reason for this is their FAMOUS UNLIMITED Bloody Marys for $12.00. Google! Tip- ask for the BLT Bloody Mary as part of the BLT Panini Combo for $20.00. The BLT Bloody Mary is way better, and not part of the UNLIMITED watery down bloody Mary batch; make SURE to verify you want the FRESH batch. This BLT Bloody Mary is the wake-up call you need with organic vodka, mesquite spices, house SPICY bloody Mary mix, and SPICED RUM (BONUS!). The cute little crispy BLT sandwich placed inside the glass, is an extra added treat to cure any Sunday morning hangover. The SouthWest Pizza for Brunch is packing with breakfast items such as eggs, and spicy chicken sausage placed on top. The chicken sausage is sizzling with flavor on top of the perfectly cooked thin crust pizza. It had a delicious sauce made up of sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, and cheddar cheese. This pizza is not for the faint of heart as it is SPICY, and elevated by delicious jalapenos placed throughout. The Denver Panini also delivered a panini that was well cooked, and broke apart easy when eating it. This panini was filled with fresh eggs, ham, roasted red peppers, and caramelized onions. I honestly think all their paninis are BETTER than the pizza, and most chefs here could agree. The caramelized onions where just the flavors I was looking for to get my Sunday morning started. DINNER: SOUP- there Tomato Basil Soup is FAMOUS here at NAPA, and MUST to get for every dinner stop. The texture of the soup is wonderfully creamy as it uses sherry and cream to make it heartier. You can taste the pronounced freshness of the vine-ripened tomatoes and basil seasonings throughout. ENTRÉE- BBQ Chicken Pizza is my favorite, and most well-executed of all. The chicken was perfectly roasted on top with sizzling bacon, red onions, and a three-cheese blend. This pizza does not over-due it with toppings making all the ingredients sink in with the dough as it is cooked in the brick oven. The BBQ sauce has this distinct smoky flavor that compliments the smokiness coming from the pizza itself. BBQ Pork Panini- This is the BEST item on the menu as this panini delivers on texture, flavor, and presentation.

We arrived at 5:30 on a Wednesday for dinner and although only three tables were occupied, the hostess sat the two of us next to a loud party of six. When I asked if we could have a quieter table, she told us to wait so she could ask. We stood waiting in the middle of the restaurant for five minutes before we were permitted one of the other four available tables for two. The waitresses are loud, untrained and disinterested. The pretzel appetizer is delicious, hot and arrived quickly. The rest of the dinner took 18 minutes to arrive. The vegetarian pesto gnoochi is bland but acceptable ($15!) but the BLT panini was cold and had two tiny squares of lettuce, obviously from a salad, one tiny slice of tomato and two strips of bacon ($14!) With two sodas, the bill was $49.72. When the waitress finally came, I showed her my sandwich and she said to talk to someone at the counter. I ate the small amount of food between the bread, left the bread and wondered how to tip for such a horrible experience. At the counter, the woman didnt ask how the meal was so I told her about the the BLT. She asked me did I tell the server and I said yes, didnt she tell YOU?! She responded the way someone would who hears a complaint every fifteen minutes. I asked her if there was anyone working that night who might have more of an interest in my poor experience and she said in a bored and sarcastic voice that she was sorry, but no there wasnt. I told her that after six years, I would never come to Napa again and she ignored my comment. For the first time in my life, I left no tip and I will never go back there again. What a shame, it used to be a pretty decent place to get a pizza.

I just went to Napa Wood Fired Pizzeria for the first time last night with 3 gfs. Overall, it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, the wine selection was good, the beer was unique, and the food was quite good (I had a delicious Pear & Gorgonzola salad and their Tomato Basil Soup). I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a bit pricey considering what you get (pizzas are an avg of $15 each and meant mostly for 1 person unless you order other items to share - my soup/salad/1 glass of wine was $29 not including tip), and the atmosphere was ok. Regarding the atmosphere, it kind of looks like a pub - rustic wood, dark, and also chilly. I would return with friends, but I cant say Id like to go on a date there. Last note, my gluten-free friend very much appreciated their extensive GF menu options.

It was confusing walking in a first you have to go through a gate but after i walked in i was greeted and seated immediately. I think it was the owner not sure but he was definitely a great waitor , i had trouble deciding and he definitely helped me out . Everything was fresh the food was great .
