Stopped here on the way home to PA from the OBX. Its about half way. Our first stop was about 19 miles south at the first McDonalds after ChsapkBayBdg which was totally packed. Turns out we made the right choice. The Exmore Diner is a local diner. Its tiny, but we didnt mind to sit at the counter. Its been there for quite some time judging by the décor. But the service was great, and the food was awesome, and not overpriced like some other places along our way. And its only just off the road. But really easy to get back on our way. No doubt well stop here again when we visit the OBX.

Crab cake sandwich nothing to write home about, nor was the trout sandwich (though both were served on a fresh, soft bun), but hand-dipped milkshake was outstanding. Shelby was friendly and efficient, and that girl knows how to rock out a killer milkshake.

Doesnt look like much from the outside, but the food is solid diner fare and the service was great. Seems popular with the locals as well, which is always a good sign. A great little piece of Americana.

I had breakfast, omelette w/homefries. My wife had lunch, clam chowder & chicken salad. Food was good, portions generous, price was very reasonable. We will stop here again next year.

My favorite place to get crabcakes! When I just want to ride out, from Suffolk, I go to this hometown family diner. The crabcakes are Awesome! They make my trip worth the ride.

DELICIOUS!!! Must try if you travel on route 13. Used to go to Marchipongo clam shack, which is good, but this place is better. Will call ahead next time for faster service.

Basic diner food. BBQ was good, wife got the turkey wrap. Turkey wrap didnt look that appetizing. The restaurant was built like in the 50s old diner feel.

Best diner ever. Every year we visit VAs eastern shore for the Between the Waters Bike tour. This diner is legendary. Its worth the trip. Very friendly folks.
