This place serves the food you CRAVE and then some. The service here is really something not found in most of todays restaurants. The owner personally engaged with us several times, helping us go through the menu and make recommendations. Being my first time, I came for the classics: Two Coney dogs, G&A sliders, and onion rings. The can-never-decide girlfriend had the hot turkey platter. The dogs and sliders lived up to the reputation and were amazing. The fries were also perfectly done and served with a side of gravy which I, without hesitating, dumped all over them. The hot turkey platter also was very well received and a great piece of comfort food. We ended up also getting a piece of the chocolate moose cake which was in of itself worthy of its own praise. I think Ill be full through tomorrow...thanks G&A! Oh, and also a great value. A MUST GO if you live in Baltimore or even just visiting.

Im from GA (a Bull Dawg) & had my 1st visit to G&A yesterday. Those folks created a very happy memory for me! I love Coney dogs & have eaten them for years all over, including Coney Island. G&A is is one of the top 2 or 3 I have ever had! We also had sliders & gravy fries, great also. Everything is fresh & homemade -gravy, fries, ground beef, dogs & tastes like it. The only thing that kept my experience from being perfect was not meeting Andy but the pretty, friendly, engaging ladies on staff more than made up for it! We had a great experience. I will be back! I have lived 2 blocks from here for years and just went for the first time. Best service in town; everyone goes out of their way to make you feel like a regular on your first visit. Coney Dog was great; Coney Burger was good, but I recommend sticking with 2 dogs. Normally, I am not a gravy on my fries guy, but they recommended it and I couldnt have been happier. Perfect consistency and homemade, not the thick straight from a can stuff at other places. Fries were fantastic, too. Everything seems like a good value. Cant wait to go back to try everything else.

I had the sliders and a Coney Island Dog because you simply have to whenever you go to G&A. The food was very good, some of the best Ive ever had. The decor is very retro, which I like, but it may not be appealing to others. But you cannot deny Andy and the staff are some of the nicest people in the business. They are quick and always make sure to get to know every customer that walks through the door. Definitely a must stop in Baltimore.

I moved to Kentucky for college and every time I see another tub of flavorless white gravy I weep internally for the G and As flavorful brown gravy smothered fries. As soon as I am in Baltimore I will be back for them. Never had anything at the G and A that wasnt delicious. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and inviting and I can treat my whole family on a college student budget. I envy those who live near by.

The service is the best Ive received (period). Excellent food (Coney dogs and sliders are a must) and excellent customer service. The service is worth noting as some of the best Ive ever experienced (even better than some 5-star places Ive been to). Andy, the owner, takes pride in his work and his business, and it shows. You should definately try this place, I can guarantee you will go back for more.

We went to G&As hoping to have an awesome lunch. That backfired when we got there and it was closed. We based our whole trip around it. On the window their there was as sign that said they were gone for a family vacation and if you emailed them they would give you 10% of the next visit. They should give us 50% off and pay for our trip. They need to learn how to hire employees. I am very disappointed.

Ive only eaten at G&A three times, and Im already friends with the entire staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly. As a matter of fact, I made the mistake of showing up when they were closing, and the manager STILL offered to pull out the grill and feed me. Wonderful food, too! I find myself craving their hot dogs constantly! Definitely a nice treat if youre in the area!

The food is not fancy but always fresh and deliciously prepared. I recall a time the owner told me had just made a batch of shrimp salad, and on his advice, I ordered the sandwich. It was full of fresh shrimp and absolutely delicious. Ive now been back several times. The food is always great but to me, its the people there that make it something really special.

My friend and I are both had the chili dog. That wasnt enough then we added french fries with gravy. Still not enough so how about an order of beer battered onion rings. Wonderful. Well now its time for something to drink. A real chocolate milkshake. Scrumptious delicious this is a real Baltimore landmark. The owner Andy always a gracious host.

This place is amazing! Best food in the area by far. The BBQ brisket is amazing and I love the hand cut fries. Also best dogs in Baltimore. The waitresses/waiters and owner are all extremely friendly and helpful. If you have been you need to check this place out. I dont know how Ive missed it all this time.

What a find! My husband stopped in tonight to eat the famous hot dogs but we ate off the specials menu instead. The brisket sandwich was outstanding! We even tried fries with gravy. Oh, my! They were superb! Well make the drive from Rockville, Md for another visit.

The crab cakes and gravy fries are amazing. I saw them featured on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and I just had to go check it out myself. I am so glad that I did and I cannot wait to go back.

Great food. The Greek Burger is unreal. French fries with gravy are yummy. Classic diner feel inside. Owner is always at the front; hes super friendly, as are his waitresses.
