Lets be clear here, this place is a dive! But a great one! Went here after seeing it on Food Network Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives It was 2 hours out of the way, and were happy to report it wasnt a waste of time! We read plenty of reviews of poor service over here, but we didnt see any such thing. The gentleman that waited on us was nothing but polite and happy to serve. We came for the crab cakes, and had had hgih expectations of them, which were easily met. The crab cakes were chunky and flavorful and only had the bare minimum of filler to keep everything together. You could clearly see it was filled with crab when you broke it open. With crab cakes met, the rest of the good food (flounder, shrimp, macaroni salad, and old bay chips) were just icing on the cake. The only thing I didnt like so much were the fried oysters, but Ive never been a fan of oysters anyway, so if you love oysters, maybe these were actually good after all. The only reason why we couldnt give this 5 stars was due to the price. Expect to pay around $25 per person for a lunch of entrees and sodas.

Last friday night we had family in town and we were looking to pick some crabs so we decided to walk down to the Stoney Creek Inn. We arrived at 8:20 on friday night and said we needed a table for 9. Instantly we we given a bad attitude by the lady behind the counter. "You cant expect to come in here after 8pm on a friday and expect to be seated. You have to call ahead first!!!!". We were not asked if we were willing to wait, and besides that as we walked up we saw a table out side that could easily handle our group. (4 adults, 5 small kids). We had eaten at SC before and the food was ok at best. But to have a restuarant give attitude to a group of 9 on a friday night is un heard of. I guarantee that we will NEVER go there again.

Went on a Friday night around 7pm - got a table right away, place didnt seem too busy. Our waitress was fantastic - super friendly and sweet but the food took forever to come out which was kind of surprising seeing there were open tables and the place wasnt busy. I got the shrimp and the serving size of the shrimp was plentiful but the "fresh cut fries" that I was looking forward to seemed like they were cooked when they opened and barely warmed up when I ordered. I also only got about 10 fries on my plate. My husband got the crabcake and said the crabcake had a lot of filler. Other than the waitress being super friendly and sweet the rest was pretty dismal.

It was a Sunday when my girlfriends and I went for dinner. The place wasnt all that packed but the wait to be seated took about 20 minutes with us just standing there without anyone greeting us. The staff was very nice and kind, but service was very slow! They advertised the peach sangria and after we shown interested and ordered, the waitress came back and said there was no more...Then there was no baked potato left...then the entire order took 45 minutes to get to the table...then the soup was more of a paste than soup...the kids Mac n cheese looked like it was made from a Kraft box...not sure if well go back here even if the service was decent.

The food is very good, service was very good but small portions was not pleased for the amount that I spend, my wife and went there last year everything was great no complaints, told friends and family how the food was and the portions worth the money, this time not so good. I think the Manager should watch what leaves the kitchen before it is sent to someones table. Mainly after hearing complaints to keep people coming back. I spoke to manager about my disappointing portions...she said shed adjust my check. We got the check & she only took a meager $2.00 (yes 2 whole dollars) off. Never again. Way overpriced now. Another good place off our list.

Great crab cakes and wonderful service. The wait staff are generally girls from the local high school getting ready for college so they are interesting to talk to and the crab cakes are to die for. Expect to bring your wallet but well worth the price. It actually had a change of ownership from the original owner to the chef that has worked there for a number of years and his wife they did some nice remodeling that really made the place go from a hole in the wall for locals to a place that is far more cheerful

Fast, friendly service, fantastic fresh seafood, good view of the creek and marina. Anybody who thinks the food here is not excellent probably likes red lobster.... Crab Imperial stuffed shrimp; big fresh shrimp generously filled with good imperial; broiled day boat scallops, both first rate-and i have been eating seafood up and down the east coast for 50 years..... and i want to steal the recipe for their cocktail sauce! We highly recommend this place and will go back!

This is a great restaurant for anyone who loves good old fashioned home cooking. Stoney Creek Inn has a menu more diverse than any chain restaurant. Their Maryland crab soup is superb, and their entrees and sandwiches are excellent. Their beer selection is great, too. Dine indoors or out. Stoney Creek Inn is truly an Anne Arundel County treasure with both excellent food and friendly and fast service.

This is a fabulous *dive* with tacky grandma lace curtains and faux formstone wall, and a wonderful Christmas tree (at the end of January), decked out in glorious Ravens purple. Sassy waitstaff with lots of opinions and the most amazing cream of crab soup. Salads with hand cut vegetables, crispy hushpuppies, and fresh fish. Plus, dessert thats worth the calories. This place is awesome.

Killer cream of crab soup, crab toast, and their crab cake is excellent. Old Bay chips are tasty. My son had a BLT and it was good too. It is a small, old place, but very, very good. Our waiter, Tim, was excellent. We have lived in Maryland all of our lives, and we will definitely go back.

It was a cheaper option for seafood that still provided good service and some decent seafood for the price. The menu isnt super expansive, but provides all the Maryland classics. The crab cake was good (though Im not from Maryland so I may not be the best judge). Overall a solid meal.

Great new ownership with Jenna and Dan. The food is awesome, the service is great and Aunt Louises desserts are homemade yummy. Smith Island cake and Jewish apple cake are my favorites!! The old reviews from other people are when the Greens owned this place.

All the food I had was very fresh. Everything tasted like home made. Very very very good. Highly recommended. Our waitress, Haley was very friendly. She gave good advice. We had barely finished our soup when the food arrived. A very good experience.
