My family and I absolutely love Dockside! We have a house in Colonial Beach that we live in on the weekends in the summer and fall. Almost every Saturday night we go out to eat at Dockside! The owner (guy with the man bun, I have never caught his name) really took us in one night. We had been working on our house all day in the heat and by looking at us you could tell, we went to the restaurant at about 8:45 not knowing they closed at 9 p.m. We were denied entry by the bouncer, my dad turned around and said "looks like we are going to McDonalds, the owner spoke up and said "No, we cant allow that, come on in." It was a limited menu since they already closed the grill but it was still just as good! We have always had great service and food here! Its a awesome outdoor,beachy environment. They always have awesome bands playing and its great people watching! Lol. Highly recommend !

DONT EAT HERE!!! I wish I could give zero stars. The food is absolutely terrible, not to mention WAY overpriced!! The staff are rude and not friendly at all. The RUDE "owners" are like high school drop-outs, VERY unprofessional!!! So you waste your time complaining to them!! Tables and chairs and are sticky from who-knows-what, food is gross and greasy and outrageously expensive for the little bit of CRAP they serve you. (Even cheap-to-purchase french fries - you barely get any.) I can only imagine what that kitchen must look like! Probably cockroaches crawling everywhere. Clearly they dont care, and they dont care about customer service. I hope they go out of business soon and new owners take over. I like eating on the water, but there are MUCH better options than THIS DUMP! Dont waste your money at this place. Cause you will probably feel ill when you leave like I did!!

Ordered 5 dinners to go - the two seafood platter at $21.99 contained 4 scallops and 4 small shrimp, a half cooked bakled potato, and half a serving size of coleslaw. Ive gotten better shrimp and scallop baskets for half the price at several restaurants. The waitress didnt check the order to make sure it was complete and if we didnt check - we would have been short a dinner. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for them to cook that dinner so 1 out of 5 dinners was hot - the rest were cold. They didnt have any bags to carry the 5 dinners and 3 salads out to the vehicle. We asked if they had a box and the waitress came back after 3 minutes stating they did not have 1 box in the whoile restaurant. We will never waste our time or money at this restaurant since the service and the food are definitely not worth it.

Tonight I took my girlfriend out here for drinks and live music. The drinks, food and music were excellent as usual. We arrived and were seated at the exact same time as another couple who promptly received their drinks and then their food before we even ordered or drinks. That was 25 minutes after we arrived. My girlfriend went to the bar and bought drinks, and noticed our waitress helping the table behind us (for the eight time) and she still hadnt helped us at all. The young girl that help the people that were seated at the same time was very helpful and checked on us several times. If you want good food, drinks and live music in a nice outdoor atmosphere this is your place. Just stay away from the older red haired villain of a waitress.

When we first walked in, the hostess was not very welcoming. Then we were seated at the same time as someone else, and that was a little awkward. Next we were sat at a dirty table. They did not even offer to clean it off, I did it myself. We got two beers and mozerella fried slices for $20 dollars....figure that one out. Only reason for two stars is our waitress was nice. We will not be going back.

Have not eaten there since 2014.....both got sick next day. Decided to give it another try today around 12:30. Not too busy.....got seated with menus 25 minutes later no one has come to the table. Waiters and waitresses passing by..... said excuse me several times to no avail. Went to High Tides in and out in 1 hour. Good food and great service.

It was the 4th of July weekend and they were severely understaffed. The waitress was awesome and worked hard to get our food out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was very good and flavorful. The only real downsides were the heat (A/C not cool enough) and the relentless onslaught of flies inside.

Shannon and Jordan have grown this lively business into one of the most popular venues in Colonial Beach featuring weekly corn hole and trivia tournaments, great music, and great food. Located on The Point, the Tiki Bar is one of the best north of Margaritaville and is both kid and dog friendly!

What a fun, hidden gem. Located at the end of the land - this place was hoping with excitement, good music, good service, and great atmosphere. A perfect piece of paradise! Games are available for the kids, drinks are available for the big kids. Swings, and a tiki bar on site.

Horrible service! There were only two of us, and there were only two other couples in our section. Servers tended to each of the other tables on either side but never acknowledged us. After 25 minutes, no server had even said hello, let alone take our drink order.

My first time here, food was good and service was good. It seems this place is declining with my most recent experience having terrible service and mediocre food at best. Id rather take my money where the management isnt rude and the food is at least decent.

We stumbled upon the Dockside restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food was superb, and the wait staff was very attentive. Being just a few feet from the water and the sailboats adds to the ambiance as well.

The new management and staff are delightful. Food is wonderful, they even offered to make changes to the menu for me and my guest. Great selection. This is over 1.5 hours away but well worth the trip.

Dockside sucks. Been here for 40 minutes. Not one server asked if they could take an order. Went into see hostess and get menues, that was 15 minutes still no service for. Nothing. Sucks big time.

Poor service with sub par food. The atmosphere was nice themed after a fishing boat and dock setting. Service was slow despite a shortened menu and staff unwelcoming to outsiders.
